Q for u if you please? have you ever thought about breeding auto flowering cannabis? something that can yield more than the other auto flowering shit that is doing the rounds. i would be very interested and i think a lot of others would be too for those of us who live in less favorable climates this would guarantee something in return for all the effort that goes in to outdoor preparation that more often than not ends in disaster:o

i would like to have a go crossing CM with lowryder to to try to up the yield a few extra grams per plant will make a big difference when you plant 100's of them. i dont have the know how to breed true auto flowering plants or that much space to devote to it, how ever i would love to see a proper CM x auto flower plant.

if you want ill come to Switzerland and work for fuck all under your supervision to see such a seed :p

An autoflowering strain is always good to have around. Many growers youd change to such auto strais as even fast indicas/hybrids cannot finish outdoors in their area.

I ve worked a bit with autos but never liked the potency or high much , but there are hybrids that are auto flowering yet very potent. I read recently about a grower who is working on a OHaze x LowRyder AK47, he said it needs some more generations to make it stabilized (give only auto-flowering offspring) .

I 'd love to see Shanti working with autos and Hazes in the future, I remember Nevil used to work with auto/Ruderalis strains long time ago.I think the reason he dropped these lines was due to small calyx size and low potency. Today there are many auto-flowering strains that have good calyx size and descent/high potency and there is a great demand for such strains .
 
I have a unique plant, to say it is autoflowering would be incorrect though. But it is photoperiod sensitive. This plant will bloom if lighting on is 22 hours or less. Plant size or age makes no difference, I placed one on a balcony on May 15, and even though the days were still getting longer she began to bloom.
Beautiful little plant I have been told is called Auto Afghani.
You could have 2 outdoor crops in 1 season with a bit of indoor veg. Just veg em till they're mid sized plants, put em out May 15, done July 15. Begin again July 15, finish Sept. 15.

Outdoors it might start flowering with 22 hrs but my guess would be light levels during the first and last hrs of the day have something to do with this.

So I would like to ask, is it the same case if you try to do this indoors (where light levels are constant throughout the day)?
 
that looks nice MM i can tell you dont live in my country you have air conditioning LOL. its summer time here and back on the 1st of June a boy drowned in a flood *crazy*. the weather as not been much better and its July 2nd the next 5 days forecast much the same rain:mad: the bugs and slugs dont even get the chance to feed on them LOL.

i put out a skunk mother on the 21st of June about 3 feet high i spent hours digging a 3feet deep hole and carrying in old compost that i use for my indoor crops in my 100L army ruck sack 300L of compost did not even fill the hole! anyway i went to have a look 2 days ago a close call with the police on the way LOL all dressed up in camo and boots 10.30 at night carrying an old hydroponic nutrient container full of grow fert:D they drove passed give me a look over and drove off:confused: if i was them i would have pulled myself over LOL.

after running the gauntlet i get to the spot and the plant looked like shit it had not grown at all and had been eat the fuck out of by slugs and snails :mad: what a total waste of time and effort.
 
as you can see i have perfect spots to cultivate, but dont want to waste time and effort that is with in walking distance of where i live south facing hill:D red X marks the fields i could grow in. i grew up in these fields and know them like the back of my hand everywhere you go N-S-E-W all look like that for as far as the eye can see;) i just want something to fill the places with that i know that i can get a return out of. 50,000 small plants will not even lookout of place where i live. auto flowering plants dont need that big of holes i could plough the fields with a 4x4 and plant a 1000 plants a day over 50 days before the 1st crop comes down ;)

i am only going to plant 1 plant in each field

Yes, the same occurs even indoors. I have to keep the lights on 24/7 indoors to veg, I've grown this strain indoors 12/12, but it does better outdoor, doesn't seem to like hps lighting. I've tried 18 hours of light and it began to bloom indoors.
 
Wish I had outdoor spots to plant, but living in an urban centre makes it impossible.
These would work well for you nut, outdoors you could finish them well before frosts and even better they finish before the police and thieves ever think to look for them.

i dont want to go mad with 50,000 plants i just want something that i know will finish in June July, August when the weather is supposed to be summer:rolleyes: LOL even if i planted 50 plants in an area 10feet x 10 they grow small and if i got only 14 grams per plant i would be over the moon 700g:) 100 plants over a square mile is nothing.

i am all for saving the world my carbon foot print must be huge 2 cars, 2 kids 2 of everything and i mean everything! LOL and thats without my lights. if we all could grow cannabis there would be no global warming! i would give up growing indoors and i think 10s- millions around the world would do the same.

they say cannabis never killed anyone? growing it while illegal has, whole family's killed in house fires that should have never happened, but did because cannabis is illegal. Bio Diesel dont make me laugh! cannabis could out produce any pant /shit or what ever they are using to make it out of now.

dope saved me !!! i got in to growing at a young age, most ppl did not even know what hydro was when i first started dabbling with growing hydroponic growing shit in my country. cut a long story short........ i was on a road to nowhere i was kicked out of school no qualification's other than i knew the streets i sold cannabis on a large scale in my area and school was not even an option. the older i got the more i got in with the wrong crowd when i got busted i was talking with the likes of gangsters. cut the long story even shorter LOL. 21 just gone busted 1st drug offense few*wipes sweet from head* and was left free! i never got in touch with that lot again. why because i thought ill grow my own! the only subject i liked in school and excelled in was agriculture. i cant read or write, but i can drive a tractor thought*wink*

Wow Medicine man, living up to your name by the looks of it. Good medicine at that. you have a plant that autoflowers under 23/1 hrs light but under 24/24 a mother can be kept and cloned. How can mortal man get hold of this genetic? Spread the wealth brother
 
I have to concur with juanca, it is pretty cool to have a plant that will flower like that and obviously appeals to folks who need to get their harvest in as early as possible. Thats a neat little find, something to keep around for sure.

Probably a ruderalis hybrid no? Sometimes its nice to see something a little different than the norm around here, good find brother.

Ive had a few not very good auto flowering strains to like you described, and i did abit of research on this subject sometime time ago now though, I do remember reading how making an auto flowering plant has to be done just right,

I think theres still pleanty of room for improvement on making such auto flwr varietys, to find the right plant to breed into a rudderils indica or rudderils skunk would be the tricky part id say,

Now making a plant like this would be a test of all tests to make a real good variety like you want i bet.
 
some of my LRxNYCD are covered in trichomes im fucking :eek: some have none or very little at all the ones that are covered have more resin on them than a lot of normal short day plants plants that i have seen. Auto flowering defiantly has a place in shit growing climates they just need to yield more that is the only problem with LR.
 
mr. green i crossed two femal ducksfoot w/lowrider#2 and lowlife blueberry wally duck had given me some personel seed stock of is i`m gonna have to wait til next spring to see how they grow, if it works wow a heavy producer like df and auto should be fun.:)
