Welcome to my loosly outdoor gardening dokumentation 2026.

The Mission is to find some nice working plants to grow and finish in my Mom's Garden, in the windy hills of West Germany, ~500m over sea level.
Frost or snow possible Oktober-early November.
was very usual when i was young in the early 90's, Newardays rare.

I am new in the growing game and first year away from the black market medicine. So i will make misstakes, the sort of we all make. Hopefully only once.

So while the freak Gang from Humboldt canceld complete and the early Sensi girls where infakt 3 boys, shifted the lineup to the Mr Nice backup guard.
Also the blessed, mighty Shanti offerd a test-seed gift for the noob grower who likes the uplifting hazes.
Sadly the german mail-service is not the same it was by the beginning of Time in the mid 80's.
The seeds must been around the World and back before they find my house at 18th of May.
The projektplant for next year with pre-selection,sexing, cloning in the wintertime.
But if some killer slugs or chicken killed one or two in the actual lineup, i waterd 2 beans for backup reasons.
Shanti deliverd,so i have to respond in form of some dokumentation.

This year we go with a mixed lineup, ~50% Mr.Nice seeds, next year Early Haze exklusiv, only one other strain fallback plant for save. Maybee 1-2 Devil to test too.

My limit is by 9 plants, legaly, 3 per person. Mom, Dad and my Sister.

2 spots for DP's Durban Dew ladys
3 spots for Sensi WL Purple Bud fem.

3x Early Queen
The sex is still unknown, they were the plan B . But now in the frontline..
To much to be legal

The plan is, if im not to lassy, to take cutings and put them direct under 12/12 Light if they dont show sex before they grow to much for the others around to see the numbers.
Then kill the male, or if none, 2 Skunk and the Queen.

The soil is grandfather's old vegi ground.
last year i dig some holes and refreshed some of the sandy clay with some blocks of coco and burned clay pellets, dont know the english term now, (Seramis/Fibotherm) ~180 ltr taken out, 100 ltr earth replaced.
Also in :
a bucket of fine white wooden ash
some sheffel ( big spoon?) of Dolomiten Chalk
half a bag of BBQ-koal (overroled with a car)
and for the Power: some local chicken shit (some feathers, Straw, uneaten corn may included)
Mint+ nettels around.
Then only water needed
This must do the magic!
Nettelbrew for pest control
or instant food, or some water with sodium soap and a good splash of acohol for the sap sucker insects . Not so harmefull to humans but the most insects get the alcohol direct in, through the Pipeline heart/lungh system, the soap breaks down the water-skin.
Not the badest end,

I have not jet test it but i think propanol or even butanol if you get it , will work better then the normal ethanol.
When the plants get near to 0.5-0.8m hight, they can get sunlight for near the full daylength.
Maybee some potential with the right strain.
This year i only refreshed chicken shit, chalk + ash in the soil. ~50 l in total.

The two revegt p.bud running for experimental reasons against the unrevegt one, flowertime wise.
But this should be more about my Mr.Nice outdoor seed try.

This is also my second grow year, i am relativly new in the game but not so new to plants + physics per se, so dont be to hard to me .
My bad english skills is another thing.
I want to train my brain a bit with the old, learnd school english and do this without goo.translator. hope you get what i mean without to much confusion.

The cage is for temporäry chicken protection ,they like to dig there the most in this particular corner.
17 th of May, after the cold Sophie with some real cold weather after years, daytime- snow, below Zero Temperatur fall and night-time frost.
Brrr...
They all make it.

Could it be that I see some small damage from white flies on you smallest plants?
I hate those bugs, if it is you can treat this fairly easy and give them the best start possible.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!
And thanks Swifty for the white flies suggestion(and the nice grow dokumentations),i will have a closer look at this flies. Some thripse also find their way. Suboptimal klima at the start and the abbused look draw their attention.
Hopefully the frost killled some bugs, nature will solve this problem!
After the mid-May snow and nightfrost the summer kicks in.
Temperatur goes up to max 33° C daytime . The plants look more happy with this and start to reach out for the sun, one burned her Fingers



Sadly the temperatur was no reason for some powerfull racing slugs to run in at night and beheadded the Durban Dew except the 3rd pair of leafes.

a week later they find the new grown side branches to and finished her , brutality!
but this Time, i find the slugs to, pinned them and throw them to the chicken.
The slugs get nutrients from my plants,
The slugs become nutrients for my plants!
Nature give!
Nature take!

And so the early haze backup, backup finaly gets the spot!
Better say 3 get in the cage to fight for it.
Be female is instant win, like drawing Exodia. The time will tell.

And if i get it right, the p.bud is some how closer related to the critical mass, so CM will work to becourse p.bud did finished early october last year, if im finding the ones witch are full of clusters by august fall when the others just start throw hairs.

Hello everyone!
Good news, bad news and something in between.
Yesterday i checked the plants in search for the white flies and find only one i think. But this is outdoor in a garden that pretend to be an "insect-reservart and bee-resort " with wild grow and untamed plants here and there.
So there were others visitors.
Slugs at the worst, take the head of a Queen, but i think this problem solved in the next days when the chicken can get out in the whole garden again.

There where keeped in the smal place becourse Mum and Dad wanted to install a new planting ground in hibs hight and some stone-plates to walk onto and dont wanted all the chicken dig through all again and when the pool is ready to use, in a few days, the chicken can go to hunt again!.
Next year i will test a layer of sand around or the classic cooper whire. But i have not thaught about the slugs to get a knack for the MJ top buds too and be so much without the hunters.
Other visitors keeped in the balance, hopefully.
A more dangerous problem where some ants. They scouted out 3 plants to be theyer next faming ground and allready bring in some "sheeps"

House Cocktail:
5 ltr Water
250 ml Spiritus
2 drops liquide soap (best was handy right now)
Filled in a spray bottle and go!
And now we look who will stand up after 3 days!
Maybee i was over thinking or to high, but i the plants look happier after the spray session.
I think it can be worse.
The new grow looks good and the plants seems to arrive for full in the ground and like it except the Skunk Haze who must find a relativly fresh shit with the first roots.

Hello Ladys and Gentleman, Brothers and Sisters and all others who likes to check in.
News from Nature:
The weather was an up and down, mostly wet. And the slug problem forced my Mum to buy some young ducks. The slugs eaten up all her strawberrys to that date. No go! And while the chicken helps mostly against the litle low level slugs, a duck is a real thread to the big red-brown ones ! It is nice to watch, they are realy pleased to search for slugs, its like a hunt!
Hopefully no heavy slug attack in the future!
Exclude the slug damage, i think the plants looks okay. To my limmited expirience as a grower. Some damage here and there, but a healty green and grow.
Also a girl showed up allready!

Hello to everyone intrested in the ongoing in Mum's garden!
We got some real warm days( for the location)the last week, with up to 39°C, and break the heat record score from 2002.
No problem for the plants, more for the humans. Stockpiles of icecream and the days spend to hang up by the river , bottle smoking and BBQ-ing with friends helped to the big heat.
The plants like it and shoot upwards. Only some minor slug attacks, and some bugs drilled holes in a few leafes, it does not look critical to me,1-2 leafes perforated on 3 or 4 plants. They build thick stem, have nice leaf color and up to eleven-finger-leafs.
First fruity and oriental smells came up and they reached a hight at about 1meter.
I think i am on the way to some nice plants for the finish.
I will try to direkt smell to the plant and discribe it the next time .

Also i think i have a 2nd ESH girl showed up! The one eaten up by the slugs showed sex on the leafes, if I'm right.

I think of the next week to finaly check witch are to cut down for legal plant limit. Then hope they go for another meter in hight and finish without mold.
Next time smell describtion! Looking what bushes we get.

The plants get more and more visible from street side and i dont want Mum in trouble,so two have to go.

News from the Garden!
The Queens making progress after the slow start.
The Durban Dew bend away from the spot light.


Queen 1 smells like fruit-salad, multiple fruit notes, i can not pin down.
And Queen 2 is more like carrot, some thing oriental - Curry/boxhornklee.

The Early Skunk Haze ll
( lost some lower damaged Fan-leafs)
Smells a bit like leather shoes and some spices. I dont know better to discribe it.

realy nice recover after the attack!
But I m not sure about the sex up to date.


There was that hair on the leaf thing.
But no other clear female preflowers found today. All the others have easy to spot ones now.
And then there is the Purple Bud -thing...
No plant from the Mr Nice but if some one can say some thing about?
I dont have that much expirience, but I think she is in flowering already. If possible..

She has indeed started flowering Purple Techno Hase.
Is it a fast version?
In any case she is very responsive to shortening days since we are only a good 3 weeks after the longest day.

@Swifty thank you for confirm my guess!
This is the Sensi white label Purple Bud from a 10pack fem seeds.
Not labeled as special fast version .8-9 wks (normal reveg + grow by 18+ h light)
But I sow her last year 2 times and both Sisters start the bloom 2-3 weeks before the others.
( Jamaika Pearl+Early Skunk,Sensi)
With bud buid up mid August. Finish 3rd october.
First I think it was a Hormon thing --
I messed up the Extra light in the spring.(Dad was wondering about the new light near the window in the unused apartment and kill switched it for safty)
Before they plant out they flowerd 2 weeks +revegt end May. --》 they some kind know how to bloom, so in my theory.

This year for the science :
2x revegt p.bud from same seedbatch
1x p.bud without intervention, same seeds

If this p.bud realy so sensitive, this would some how explain the 2 week of slow grow (few days lower than ~16 h light)
compared to the ident old Sister who seems less sensitive to the light houers.

This ONE may be what i look for! A plant that proper finish in the September before the cold + mold in later year.
Atleast it is a solide standard to messure the tester- Early Haze phenos against in the next outdoor season!

Hello everyone.

1st August.
Turning day!
15 hours and a few minutes Daylight left!

Have to start flowering in the next days or finish never!

The plants look nice and are now at my hight, and more. ( Metall-fence= 2.0 m )
Some have allready noitced the reduced daytime and start to strech out + change the structur.
Optical: The Early Skunk Haze No.l,
have the best over all look.
Sad that it will never proper finish, if the october dont play in and the november isnt free of frost in the first half.
But maybe the weather(-god)be with me .
My opinion so far.

Im more and more convinced that the Early Skunk Haze lV is a boy and must left the game
but he looks great so far.
No diference to the other without slug attack.
The others show at least some white hairs. He/she/it, nothing i can say for sure!
No balls either!
or im not expert enough to identify any sex for now.
Better save then sory? Still thinking ,waiting + check 4 balls.

The Early Haze for test/ backup purpose is heavy overshadowed by the other and makes her own thig, slowly..
Late to the party, lost one first leafs to slugs and faced a "record-heat-wave" with tiny root ball, while fight for every cm³ substrat available. Bad start!
But alife!
And reached the 15cm mark
Maybe i get a bud or 2 of it for taste if fem.
In the wintertime i search a straw for the first girls who start flowering for the next sea
son, like the Sensi thing.

The Queens look like right in the time to bloom and bring some haverst in.

Sister 2 , looks~ 2 weeks behind,
and the "control grp" - plant 3, bareley notice that the light-hours get reduced untill a few days ago.

I added ~ 3 good hands full of fine ,fuffi, white ash around each stem, and ,as german ofc., a 1/9 bottle of beer each not so much for the micro benefit, more for Karma, Dionysos, Odin, God, or that entropie- imbalance in the kosmos, what ever.
Its like
-50ml instant-prayer!
Then water to drown some of the ash down the soil.

Never mess with karma or the gods if you can get away so cheap.
From now on only water again, will see how it worked out in the end.

The race to the finish begin!

Hi,
@DavidReed this is my second grow year and im still in the " try out what works for me " Phase. I try some strains and chose the working ones. No notes so far.
I can only compare to the last year grow and some Photos of the Purple Bud with time stamp to it for flowering start time.

But now I have some kind of Standard to compare flowering-start-time wise.
The Early Purple Bud.
Some cutings rooted!
A glas of water give me the best result.
So i musst start write things down in the next season to find more special ladys for the german climate.

Early Skunk Haze lV is still around and have finaly showed some white hairs and no balls.

But I dont think the Skunk Haze come to an fruitfull end, also the Durban Dew, and the 2 Purple Sisters are also late.
The Early Queens look more ahead and seems to finish in time.

They will deliver some buds, i think.
The other ladys have to fight rain, fog, frost and mold from october on.

For till now I m happy with this grow.
Plants look healthy and no great threads like amphids( the right term for Blattläuse?)or catapillars so far and the slug attack weatherd down nice by the plants.
I think this is some how part of Shanti's great genetics, and a litle part Mum's garden philosophie with home for multiple insects in manny different weeds and run around chicken and ducks.

And the realy photosensitiv purple bud, maybee ready in around 2-3 weeks:

The Early Skunk Haze look nice and may yield a good amount, but i dont think they are ready by 1st of Nov. So they must stand the autum storms and cold days.
No way! My opinion. But luck may help,

Impressiv.
The Nummer 4 finaly throw out balls on all branches in great numbers. This must be a male plant with some early female tendencies. Tomorrow is the end.

I m cold, so No smells ,only some general fresh MJ-smell from the plants.

Hello again.

Finaly rain!
Weather switched at the beginning of the week. Some drops of rain, sunny to cloudy, 15-25°C.
Not enough to water the fields and forests proper but good for to get a bag full of Champignons from the fields 3 days later.
~ 2 kg
Some more rainydays ahead in the next 2 weeks.
Preperations before the Storms :
take out some leaf- material,
fixing the Durbans and Queens head so they dont headbang the fence, hopefully
and some whire fixing the heavy lower branches on the PB lll, wich have a slightly damage already and Mum killed early Skunk Haze lV.

Mum heard somewhere that hop and cannabis can have positiv effects for the chickens health and there he was last seen!
