hi , hempy , bh and others ..

mr hempy , i know you did tests with your plants to see if theres a diff between indoors and out ,, many do ..
but im pretty sure you dont live in the tropics ,,
so to say its the same isnt quite accurate
wouldnt you agree?

if you had done a tropical test you would see why ,,
the flowers formed here are much tighter in both sativas and indicas than most achieve indoors , as long as you have the right amount of sunshine ..

as i said im really glad guys like you get results like you do , and keep the torch burning for others to grow sativas as well as is possible in the restrictions of the indoor environment ,
its still a good sativa buzz , i know ive tried it many times..
i fully applaude it , i like you way prefer a sativa , the more sativa the merrier .
we are fans of the same thing , youd reckin we could get along better ,,
im surrounded by natural settings all the time , rarely venture near towns or cities ,
im very peaceful as a result , not much stress other than will my cucumbers flower and make fruit , or will i replace the pak choy intime to not run out , etc
gardening is the most rewarding thing and should be good for helping lessen your stress , lighten the load of modern society , chill out with the garden and toke stimulating enlightening sativas ..
if you really want pictures hempy i have them , but its not important , and not really too accurate unless we have grown the same strain ..

No i am not in the tropics but Cains right now is Cairns Current conditions

Temperature 31c

Relative humidity
63%

Were i am it is 33c

Relative humidity
64%

I dont live in the tropics and or would i like to you cant swim with out every thing ether wanting to eat you or kill you with its toxin then theres the wet season no offense but i would not live there i like it further south.

You go on about the tropics like its the best place to grow cannabis well its not take a look in SA Victoria and even all along NSW and WA every were can and do grow great mj and with out a monsoon wet season and most have great soil to.

Why are sativa flowers airy since you seam to not know they are airy to allow air movement to help with rain or high humidity and why sativas are branchy to take advantage of any air movement its reality and that is a sativa.

Man honestly i know what sativas look like growing out door i grew lots out doors this arguments stupid if you guys dont think sativas can be grown indoors fine believe that just respect people that dont by into your argument and believe they can and do just that.

I dont think its the best place to grow cannabis ,
i agree hempy ,, i see amazing grows way down south of here and in the northern hemisphere ,
im humbled by the pics ive seen ..

but , if you want to grow a sativa that is from a tropical location , the ideal place to grow it ,,
is a tropical location ..
thats all we are saying hempy ,,
we make no attempt to belittle you or your growing skills .
on the contrary , i have in fact given many compliments .

there is really no such thing as an indoor plant ,,
humans made indoors ,
no plant ever grew indoors before humans ..
there are some plants that can do as best they can with the indoor climate and lighting we make ,
but we can never fully replicate the diversity of a natural setting ...
ive seen you say similar things in other threads about othe topics ,,

my apologies ..
i didnt answer the question you asked on why are tropical sativas airy ...

the fact is a lot of them grown where they are from are not so airy ..
certainly not as nuggetty tight as a rock like some hybrids can be ..
but not near as airy as many folk might think ..
and indeed not like indoors ..
there are airy specimens however .

when those tropical sativas begin to ripen in their place of origin
the monsoon has already stopped ,
im sure this has something to do with the longer flowering ,
the ones that ripened early went to mould and so only the longer flowering types survived .
when the monsoon finishes intime here ,,
which is not always the case ,
the developing flowers respond and burst into flower .

it is still very hot , in the 30s during the day as they ripen , in the strong tropical sun
its dry also , and not much chance of mould .
this is a typical tropical season ,but it can vary ..

A thought. I have heard vertical grows had a lot better yield. I posted on a vertical grow thread in ICMag trying to find if maybe this was due to the light hitting the plant in a horizontal method like the Sun and how much the yield was increased. All I got was. R squared law, vertical is better and you're stupid. I understand these things but couldn't get anyone to think about anything but those three things. So I gave up. I wonder if light hitting the plant not just on the top is helpful to the plant? Would it reduce stretch in Sativas?
