Mango Haze Inbred x AC Haze - Indoor “Organic” Coco LED Grow

You’ll love this variety @TGTDE. I’ve still got clones from mine and I’ll likely keep them for years to come!
I’ve been out of the game for 3+ years, I haven’t even lurked the forums cause it would just make me miss growing too much!

Would love for you to hype me up for the strain! What were the phenotypes you got like?? Were they similar to one another? Is there a smoke report anywhere I can live vicariously thru you from in the meantime?

So after rereading my old mango haze grow thread, I hit up my “Jar of Desperation” after work . It’s my jar that’s a mix of leftover bud from all my old grows. Literally 3-4 year old bud, stored half decently over the years.. it’s little dried out, doesn’t smoke the greatest but the stuff still works when / if I don’t feel like going to a dispensary 😂! I grabbed a bud I thought looked like the Mango haze and despite being full of seeds (intentionally pollinated the crap out of that plant). The bud got me wildly high 😂! !

The reason I’m mentioning it is because I planned to get the seeds in coco this AM but after blasting myself to outter space with 4 year old bud I decided to put off getting the seeds in coco until I slept off the really fun but slightly anxiety inducing buzz!

Incredibly racy, incredibly visual and tactile effects. Everything looked cool / trippy as as hell borderline.. okay maybe not borderline, perhaps slightly psychedelic. I was finding all kinds of cool unique shapes and figures within the designs of my bathroom shower tiles that I had never noticed before. The water hitting my head and back has literally never felt so incredible in my life I swear I stood there for twice as long as normal taking it all in. The structure of the bud I pulled from the mystery jar was without a doubt one of my mango haze plants and the insanely extended time on the shelf has seemed to only make the effect of the bud improve, at least in my opinion.

With all that being said, I can’t wait to see what this Mango Haze Inbred x AC grow has in store!!

Now to borrow a line from the Joker..

16 of 18 had nice little tails like the one shown below. Also pictured are my two stubborn seeds, one looks like it’s very slowly sprouting a tail, the other I don’t have too high of hopes for but in the coco mix it went.

I reused my old mix of Coco & perelite mixing in 1 cup of fresh worm castings for every 3 cups of the coco / perelite mix.

Seeds went “tail” down about 1 knuckle deep in the pre moistened mix that I loosened up a bit after moistening, before putting the seeds in and lightly covering with the mix.

I left out the dolomite lime and the 4-4-4 Gia Green dry amendments (that I saw I may have used in a past grow). Just going off memory I don’t think seedlings are supposed to get too much nutrient wise when they’re first starting off and I think the mix I had seen I used in the past may have technically been for when they were transplanted to their 1 or 3 gallon pots. If they end up looking hungry before transplant I’ll topdress them at that point or hit them with a mild tea.

Electric Sky ES 300 V3 dialed all the way down to its lowest setting anbout 3-4 feet above the seeds at the moment.

I’m pretty sure I started off my seeds under 24 hours of light for the first few days possibly even up to a week in the past. I’ll decide tonight at work if I’m going to try that again with this grow or if I need to set up the tent fully and get these girls on an 18/6 schedule right away.

Based on how developed most of the seeds / tails looked before going in the mix I’m expecting most to pop their heads out in the next day or two!

15 of 18 have broke ground! Around 5 of them had broken thru the very next morning after going in the coco mix!!

I upped the light intensity just now on the dimmer cause a few have stretched a tad too tall for my liking. I’m about to head to bed and I don’t want to wake up to extremely lengthy little ones!!

The one with the green tag is the stubborn seed that had the tiny, tiny tail poking out from a few photos back. The red tag is the seed that refused to sink and/or sprout a tail from that same photo!

The containers they are currently in are probably about 1/4 to 1/3 gallon in size. The mix is pretty simple right now 3 parts organic Coco with Perelite mixed in, to 1 part worm castings.

I’ll update this thread with the exact ratios and amounts of things I add at each step along the way so stay tuned.

I decided to keep them at 24 hours of light for now. Half because I remember reading they can handle it and they’ll have a bit faster growth and half out of laziness, not wanting to fully set up the tent and find the timer for the light. I’m going to get those things set up and get them on an 18/6 schedule starting tomorrow tho..

I didn’t realize how much I’ve missed / I’ve forgotten how much I loved growing. I love each and every step of this process 😃!! Excited to see their first few sets of leaves and those beautiful healthy roots when it comes time for their first transplant !!

I got my tent fully set up and timer adjusted to an 18/6 light schedule.

I’m thinking I’ll be using the frames of the two tents I have without their reflective walls / ceilings / floors to hold up my four lights (three ES 300s and one ES180). Then treat the entire room like a grow room keeping humidity and temp in check best I’m able.

I don’t have the room to take clones & also can’t have that high of a plant count right now. So I plan to keep the plants small, possibly 5 gallon pots max, topping each plant twice so they have 4 main tops before flipping them into flower.

I’ll move the males to the garage under the ES180 (I’ll likely have bought another ES 300 by then) til I collect some pollen. I’m going to try to only pollinate a small amount of bud from each female for a change!! 🤞

I’ll harvest most of the bud from each plant and then turn the entire room into a reveg room. Once the harvested bud has gotten a solid cure and a few test smokes I should know which ones are my prized ladies I’ll get rid of the rest.

If all goes to plan I’ll have some good seedless bud, a decent number of F2 seeds and a few revegged star females to take clones from!

By then I’ll have my proper paperwork to do a big grow.. the next project will be popping around 100 Angel Breath in hopes of finding that one legendary “baby maker” medical wonder pheno that I read about years ago. I honestly can’t freaking wait for that grow!!!

Two or three of the 16 little ones have some uniquely thin pairs of first true (single “finger”) leaves.

I’m excited to see if their future sets of leaves have similarly thin fingers in comparison to their siblings!

Of all my grows (not a tonne) I’ve yet to have a pheno with extremely thin fingered leaves! So I’m excited to see

This one and possibly two others’ first set of true leaves have 3 fingers. I had read someone on here claiming this trait tends to coincide with a solid quality pheno.. 🤞 it’s true! View attachment 116351
Can't say for sure if this means high quality but this shows in a lot of MNS haze's TGTDE.
MH, NHM, NH and SSHxAC all have shown this in my grows.
Either way it is a special trait.:)

Great start!
