Mango Haze 400w vert

Hello everyone! Before I get started I have to THANK SHANTI for making this possible. I had purchased a pack a few months ago and had all but one seedling die on me for reasons unknown. I admit that it was stupid of me to pop the whole pack but lesson learned. Shanti was kind enough to give me a 2nd chance and I cannot thank him enough :p

I have popped 5 more seeds and I will be flowering from clone to cut down flower time. They will be flowering in a 3x3x6 tent with 400w vertical. I also have one outside.

Lookin' good so far. Shantibaba's seeds are fresh (when ordered direct) so you don't need to drown them in order to get them to germinate like you do with seeds of some other companies. ;) I never soak seeds in water - I just mist the inside of a napkin, fold it over, seal it in a plastic kitchen contanier, and in 48 hours I have taproots growing out of the seeds. Then I plant the seeds, taproots pointing down. Important to not bury them too deep. And do not do a full watering until after the seedlings sprout or you can drown the seedlings. Most people who have "duds" often drown a seed here and there. It takes VERY LITTLE moisture to germinate a seed if it is a good seed. I have 100% germination from all of my Mr Nice seeds germinated so far (using this method)!

Beautiful seedlings! I prefer to germinate on Rapid Rooters, I have used them in both soil and hydro, and have germinated with a close to 100% success rate (even when on the seed package showed a lowest rate) from papaya, strawberries, peppers, and of course MJ among others.

One thing I like a lot is that you just bury the seed and soak the little cubein water, put it in a dome and you just wait. It is really hard to mess it up. Moreover, the plants germinated in this cubes seem to be hardier overall in both soil and hydro.

I have popped 6 MH seeds so far, 5 germinated, 2 are females, 1 waiting on preflowers (already @ 39 days an no signs of preflower), 2 died because they couldn't get rid of the shell and I did not helped them either, and one never germinated because the shell cracked before I put in in the cube.

I will be doing a vertical grow also, but I'm waiting on some gear and finish vegging time in order to start the thread. I will be using a vertical 1000W Ushio Opti-Red in a RDWC.

Did you read my thread on Sexual Maturity? I asked some questions (still waiting on an answer) which should help people growing hazes and sativa dominant strains. If I have the time I will try to research (hands-on) more on this, since I plan on growing only sativa dominant strains indoors.

I'm pretty excited more people are going vertical. I already have another sativa dominant hybrid vegging vertical from a clone for a month and it is bushy instead of tall due to the position of the bulb. I have the bulb hanging in the middle of the tent and the top of the plant grew until it reached a little above the top of the bulb and then started to bush out and hasn't stop since, the vertical grow is negligible. I still have to go into flower but I believe vertical bulbs solves stretching issues, height limits, among others.

I forgot to mention that in my last nutrient change I set the nutrient levels to 0.5 EC and they are doing great, they eat nutrients as fast as they drink water. They were set at 0.8 EC the first 4 weeks and were doing the same. I wonder what the perfect EC is?

I grow almost all sat heavy hybrids and I use a ppm of 250 until the last few weeks of flower and then just plain water. I used to use 5 -10 times as much fertilizer but it never made my grows any better. A bottle of flora nova last me forever now, lol.
