Yeah, what he said.:)

Getting ready to grow MH again from a fresh pack. Will be interesting to see how this inbred/backcross performs qualitatively compared to my plants.

waiting for pictures and reports with abated breath.:D

hello fellows :)

i can't promise a whole thread documented because i wasn't very diligent in the past but i will post some good pictures and what i will see about phenotypes ect... :)

the seeds are in a glass of water with liquid oxygen for the night :D

i really hope to see a higher gene frequencies of mango and/or hazy expressions than in the F1 line. and maybe to deduce some genetic transmission, playing the novice genetic engineer in order to estimate the F1 male value :)

I re-read Shanti’s quote in MP’s first post, it sounds like he’s played around with MH backcross before if I’m interpreting it correctly.

If it’s a backcross to the P1 mom with an F1 selected male then there will be more HzC122 (Mango) in the pedigree yet he was selecting for shorter flowering time. And the description of the offer says “tall haze plant expected with good yield”.

Let’s see, selected for shorter flowering time, haze expressions, and yield…he already knows what the mom can do. This could be some interesting stuff. Even if it is a tester, you’ve got the front row to see his hand at work. Got to give him credit for putting it out there, brings to mind “the proof is in the seed”.

Lol, when I get something special they’re in the towels as fast as I can get them out of the package. Good Luck.

Gave myself a late Xmas present & won a pack last night. Very excited and hope to see some of these grown out on the site. (no pressure Batman, I suck at the grow log too)

I have been saving a pack of "ordinary" MH for over a year now, working on my growing skills prior to taking on a haze. Now that I have the MH Inbred I will be cracking the regulars very soon to shorten the learning curve before I take a run at these.

hello fellows,

thanks for the nice posts its encouraging :) the batcace is full of critical mass seedlings but there are still a few square meters to fill, i hope all these babies will peacefully live together :D

so has voted ! the seeds are in the plates ! :D

about the pedigree, the auction description was Inbred generation using female MH select to Male F1 selected seed
i supose the mother is the P1 but im not certain. ;)

sincerely

Re: Pedigree

Yeah, I was a little speculative on the pedigree but it seemed to be a good possibility since an F1 and backcross were mentioned. Another scenario would be backcrossing to an F1 male with a selected female from further generations. If that’s the case, the ratios in the pedigree would be the same and it would be more a factor of the traits selected for. (More speculation, lol).

In any event it looks like we will see the end results in a few months. How many did you pop?
