Legal California Mango Haze

Hello to the Mr. Nice forums!

I have read the forums for quite a while but this is my first posting.

A new friend of mine recently gave me 14 Mango Haze seeds and 12 Super Silver Haze seeds to grow. This person was very generous to me and I owe them a debt of gratitude. I thought I would honor this person by showing them that I am not wasting the opportunity nor the favor that has been given to me.

I am proud to say that out of the 9 MH seeds that I germinated, all 9 have sprouted on May 15th and are doing great.

I am using all Fox Farm products including Ocean Forest soil.

I have a combination of 1000w HPS and 400w MH.

My flowering area is 7 1/2 feet wide by 5 1/2 feet long. I use the flowering area as a vegetative area as well as bring plants outside during the day to soak up, much needed, natural sunlight when it is available, also to conserve power costs.

First picture is about a week old and the second picture is today.

Thanks for stopping by and I will post a link to my Super Silver Haze grow in my signature after I write the post in the appropriate forum.

Looks like they're not getting enough penetrating light. The top of them look perfect, the internodes at each branch look poopy >< I couldn't recommend anything more than a T5 light fixture, they're cheap and NOTHING compares to them for early veg growth, not even a MH if you space them correctly. That's my personal opinion.

From reading your post, it seems like you're using the 400w MH for the veg, I think your plants could be moved a lot closer for more uniform growth, and to get those internodes more light. I push fan leaves down on my plants almost daily to push them out of the way of blocking the internodes from light.

I have a 400w MH, and a 4bulb 4 foot T5 fixture with 4 54w bulbs (216w total) and it definitely out performs the MH when it comes to early uniform veg, with tight internodes and early branching growth. The T5 fixture costs me 160$ with bulbs, and I couldn't imagine being with out it at this point.

I am not going on other peoples' threads telling them my opinion about their gardens without them asking for help first. It's presumptuous and it's downright rude.

If it seems like I have taken this personally, I have.

I am not here for advice.

I appreciate your concern but I didn't give even close to enough information to let people draw some sort of conclusions about what they think is wrong with my garden. You started spouting off on things you DO NOT have enough information to talk about. I am not posting here for advice. I simply stated I was showing this grow to my friend who gave me these seeds. My plants are fine, I will tell you when there is a problem and then I will tell you how I fixed it.

I have been growing for several years and have several harvests under my belt. This is just a taste of my garden. So please, before you post your concerns please ask for some information before coming across as an egotistical dick who gives advice freely; keep your opinions to yourself.

Sorry for being a dick, I am just sick and tired of posting on these types of forums and always getting someone who thinks they are better than everyone else spouting off how much they think they know. I don't care what you think.

I have a 2 week repeating harvest. I have over 4 Mother plants that have been growing for a long time. I take clones, transplant, and flower plants every 2 weeks. This system has been working just fine for me and I have been growing better weed than I can buy at the local dispensary. As far as I am concerned, if my back pain, insomnia, and high anxiety can be helped by my garden, then I am doing nothing wrong.

All of you people that are expecting perfection in every grow need to get a life. This goes for all those people who think every leaf is supposed to live also.

This is exactly NOT the type of response I'd expect from someone here at MNS, anyways I apologize for anything that may have offended you. I'll remove my posts, but I don't think it's ME who has the problem.

Lol, well I love EVERY plant that much, mine, yours, and the next guy. I SERIOUSLY think you're in the wrong place if that's how you feel about it, it's not some resource for you freely to abuse. That plant is part of your family, just like every plant and animal.

I grew this not even a month ago. I call it the forearm bud. And that was off of some shitty Mango genetics(No relation to Mango Haze or Mr. Nice). It will not be grown anymore in my garden.

Its good to have you here sharing your experiences for others to see but you need to accept that people come to forums to interact with others.Discuss , exchange views , learn from others and become better. Criticism from others is unavoidable when we decide to post on a public thread at a public forum whether we like it or not.

I know intentions behind comments may not always be clear or even the best..so I do understand the reasoning behind your reaction..but in my opinion as long as both parties can keep it civil all is good and part of the game. After all whats the point to come and post if you only expect positive comments!?

Now if you dont' want people commenting on your grows at all maybe it would better to set up a Private folder in your MNS photo gallery and give the access-giving-password just to those people that you want.Or even use emails to go all-private etc
But since you are here posting a public thread..there will be comments good or bad.

No doubt you are a very good grower and plants in your garden show how much you love them and care about them..but there is actually nothing wrong with criticism be it good or bad. You have always the right to even completely ignore a comment..and you also have every right to defend your opinion if you want, by explaining why you have preferred to go a certain route instead of another..and then maybe others may get to learn something from you and benefit. I have learned huge amounts of useful things from other growers and I really hope I have also helped few others learn something useful too..I admit there were many times that I may didn't enjoy certain comments but all comments even the most negative have left me thinking on how to become better. If you find a comment is rude and has no real value at all then the best thing is to ignore it! So I would personally suggest you try to accept the fact that a public forum is just that..a public forum! Where everyone is entitled to his opinion..be it good or bad!

You know life is not always fair and will never be..what matters is what we do to become better and make the world around us a better to be. If all we received was always good comments that would mean there is absolutely no room for improvement..which is something impossible considering no human is perfect!

Wish you good luck with the rest of your MH grow, keep us updated and looking forward to seeing how the Mango and SSH turn out for you

keep up the good work and have fun

Your garden looks nice Piper, but maybe you could work on your attitude a bit:)

I appreciate the fact you don't like people turning up on your thread telling you what your doing wrong, especially when all looks good in your garden, but maybe you should smoke some Mango before you reply, because as somebody already said, it's not the type of reply you expect from a member in the MNS forum, everyone seems to treat each other with a bit more respect over here.

Peace, GG

P.S I could of just quoted L33T as he said it perfectly already.

4 of 9 turned female. Clones will be taken and flowering will be induced when I can take 3 cuttings from each plant. I want to propagate only a couple of plants for the future but I am a rookie with this strain so I need to flower them out to decide which genetics I want to keep. I am shooting for the highest grade Sativa genetics for my anxiety and day time smoke.

The plants did not like being in a beer cup for a month but I could not afford to upgrade every plant (including males) to new soil. Since they have been sexed and transplanted they are loving life and growing normally. Temps are a little higher than I would care to have but they receive individual attention on a daily basis so they get their fluids.

Here are some pics of some regular Mango that I just harvested. I have no idea where the seeds came from other than I traded them from a friend. It's pretty decent for getting to bed and ok for pain relief but wonderful for the munchies. This stuff was a bitch to trim and this is the last batch of this strain that I will grow; on to bigger and better deals, so to speak! I have 5 foot tall G-Bomb plants that are going to be harvested on July 31st that will take care of pain.

I am sorry

And by the way, it is of my opinion, that is it rude and disrespectful to tell others what they think you should do or do things the way they do it. When people start telling others what they think they should do it turns into a pissing contest.
However, I read a few posts last night about sativa and indica differences that l33t and others wrote on one of the most popular threads, about how environmental differences can change phenotypes, and thought to myself about how constructive the insight was. People were disagreeing all over the place but others took it with good tone and references. So this is something I can learn from.

I am not posting pictures here to show off. I am not posting on this forum to compare myself to anyone else. If random people find enjoyment out of my threads and pictures then that is awesome and makes me feel good; that is just a side-effect of the thread.

In hindsight, I wish I never said anything at all about anything. I wish I never said what I used or whatever and just posted pictures. Other peoples plants and threads are more than adequate for any information that I might need to grow them the best way possible.

Yes, I have a tendency to get irritated about minute things.
Yes, this is one of the major reasons why I smoke marijuana.
Yes, I have to deal with this on a daily basis for the rest of my life.
Yes, this is one of the reasons why I am on disability.

In the end, I wish I had just said "Thanks for the advice, I will take it into consideration."
So for not doing it that way and explaining how I really felt, for that I am truly sorry.

Yeah I know I can be a dick, I felt I was being told what to do. I don't like that and it pisses me off. SO for my overreaction I am sorry for that as well.

Hi piper32

Plants look very nice and they seem to have grown a lot since the last update. Your harvested buds look nice and very frosty too , smoke some of that for us :) By the way hows the taste of this Mango strain, is it fruity and mango scented like the name implies?

I would like to say that I hope I didn't come off as preaching earlier in my previous post. As you will find out,if haven't already, the mns forums are like a second home for many of us members here and thanks to Shanti's Freedom of Speech approach and members collective effort and mutual understanding I believe we have managed to create a online canna community like not many others where our differences and different opinions are respected and make the world a colorful place and do not stand in the way really, most are here to learn from each other and have a good time with like minded people that love the herb. Hope you keep contributing and sharing your experiences with the rest of us and hope you get to make some good friends as well..have fun and keep up the good work

Insults were the last thing on my mind when I posted on your thread, I have nothing but good vibes for you and your plants :)

If anything, I'm jealous of your SSH cuts ^^

We value everyone's contribution to the site, at least I know I do. I'd love to see updates and smoke reports!
