Interesting. Well I have only smoked Amnesia Haze, not Amnesia, it was certainly some of the most crystalized stuff I have ever seen, but to me, it just wasn't that hazy, even less so than SSH.

I never found Amneisa Haze very Hazy either, too sweet and fruity, when I think of Haze I think of spice and incense and only a little fruit in there. There is very little to be found in Holland that has much Haze taste to it and none of it has the Haze type high because no-one will grow anything that takes more than 60-65 days.

yeah, well thank God I discovered MNS, now I can't wait to get back to Amsterdam.
 
If you go to Amsterdam there are a few places worth checking out but these days the prices and quality are both outrageous. 10 a g for Power Plant and 12-15 for anything with a name. Poor quality Cheese is often 15 a g, ridiculous. The hash is getting poor now as well, getting hard to find really nice piece of hash in Amsterdam, you can still find some good stuff at decent prices in other towns but that requires a load of train travel.

AMS is for me about atmosphere, attitude, and with fair to middling smokeables. MNS is the best source on the planet for old skool haze effects, aromas, and taste.;)

Yeah, I agree, but there is less and lass of the old atmosphere left. In fact, it's got to the point where going to Amsterdam just makes me think of how it used to be and how crap it is now. It's gotten so expensive and most of the atmospheric places where you met unique characters are gone, many have gone 'upmarket' and are more like a fast food joint than the old 'gezeilig' style warm n cosy places with character.
 
I am with you BH about the Dam, although I love the city for it's character, the MJ scene is not the same of old. This latest trip was my 4th and it was so different from when I was last there in the mid 90's, even the smoke was nothing to write home about......shame really as it was such a icon in days gone by:(

Josh....You are probably right about the SK1 becoming to dominant in strains these days, I am sure that is why Nevil believes that OZ could have the hidden ingredients for the Grail as the strains are not so tainted with dutch genetics.......not long now and we could see signs of what will be in the Grail:D

My first trip there was the mid 90s too and it was still pretty good then but even so, it had already declined from how it was in the 80s, I think we never saw it when it was really cool, sadly. The Dutch have totally turned against the whole weed tourism thing now and are getting less and less tolerant of foreigners. I found that out through bitter personal experience.

Skunk is so prevalent these days, particularly in the UK.

I agree with Nev that you Aussies are probably holding far more valuable genes than most of the rest of us elsewhere.

The other place I still have hopes for is Africa. In Central Africa the population has never recovered from the slave trade and large areas have a population density of only 1 person per km2. That dark heart of Africa will contain some amazing sativa genes but would require a major expedition to go find them.
 
They also have Nev's Haze in Cafe 420 just off the Damrak in Amsterdam


And the quality is excellent B H. I have long since lost my love for this city, but after my last visit in November, when I tried Nevilles haze in that shop, well it's completely changed my life.
I have found this forum, and have been reading and reading every scrap I can find, now I have got a set up almost ready to go(just need a new house). Then my plan is to learn how to grow, I'm starting with Early skunk to get a feel for it. Then it will be a progression onto the Hazes, with the ultimate Nevilles being my goal.
I really can't emphasize enough what that did for me, after years of smoking soapbar, then giving up completely. I feel energised by you all, watching your grows and listening to your advice, I feel lucky to have found this place, and to think that I will be buying my seeds from the best geneticists out there, with the cream off growers/breeders to help, WOW. And all from a visit to coffeeshop 420.

I'm not having much luck.

Seems icmag have blocked google searches as google won't pull up search results from icmag anymore.

if you try googling 'haze site:icmag.com' it gives zero results, it used to work.

I think the info I read must have been on icmag, posted by Sam. I've been banned there for months so I can't look now google doesn't work to search icmag.

Whatever the case, what I read was from either Sam or RCC.
 
Just wish I could remember precisely were I read it, I definitely didn't imagine that info.

i dont care if somebody believs in those words or not, i dont need to gain anything, now i will see more ppl crying like babys when i say i saw even bigger plants, that i didnt grow .. larger than 10 meters, but again who i am, and what do i know, nothing, right ;)

its a mater of definition what does tall mean to somebody, to me is tall 6 meters and more, to somebody is everything thats larger than 150cm tall ..

btw trust me, i know how to judge hight, played bball my whole life long, and i can positivly say if a plant is the double hight of the rim, u know ;)


its really shameful to say if i dont see it, its not possible, well we breath air, tho we dont see it ...
