without a doubt

just curious why is she so symetrical, most old sats werent, especially when they came from thailand, as mm is supposed to come from, when i see something symetrical, and something also that thight, with short internode spacing .. short, like less than a ft between nodes, it makes me really wonder and doubts start to rise up ;)

Most sats ARE symmetrical, in fact, nearly all of them. The only ones I know of that aren't are the Thais that will suddenly shoot up a new growth shoot that will become the meristem for a while before another shoot takes over. Less than a foot between nodes? That indicates nothing, most sats when grown under the full sun in the tropics will not have long nodes spacing at all, it's only when you grow them elsewhere they stretch like mad.

let me bs a little more :D

tall girls arent 4-5 meters ... they start with 7 meters :D

Yeah, you sound like you're BSing. Stupid move on your part to criticise Kanga's plants to be honest.

Nice plants Kanga

A bit big for My property tho. Earth Google clearly shows My LA confidential plant from last summer, and it was only 4 feet in diameter.

got nothing to do with criticism, such tall girls grow around europe, i was expectin something really tall, and saying that most sats are symetrical implies, that uve tried out all of them ...
however my expirience is truly different then urs, grown a lot of asymetrical non thai sats with spacings longer then 2ft, ok maybe it doesnt indicates anything to you, grow more, watch and observe

grown under the full sun in the tropics will not have long nodes spacing at all

the opposite is the fact, its not the sun which makes spacing, its the nightcycle, which is in fact longer in the tropics than everywhere else

and

it's only when you grow them elsewhere they stretch like mad.

wrong, they stretch only due to low light levels, if light is enough availible, for example in greenhouses with added lighting, you will find out, that they will be shrorter the more north or south u go from the aquator, bc the n8cycle is shorter

hope i could help

2ft spacings? You grew them wrong. 7m tall plants in Europe? Sorry but I think you're talking rubbish.

the one who knows nothing - has to believe everything

yep, 7 meter gals @ 45 lat

had even girls @ 50 lat, which were nearly 6 meters

sure , i grew them wrong

u know, ive been too long online in that grow-forum-wank-wank buizz to know, that i wont argue with you :)

Well show us some pics of a 7m plant with 2 foot node spacings then.

As a Dutch friend of mine always used to say 'pics or it didn't happen'.

I find it rather out of order to criticise Kanga's plants, he, at least, has fully documented what he's doing.

2 foot node spacings are not something you would encounter in the tropics, that's a clear sign the plant wasn't able to adapt to it's new surroundings. Even the really tall wild Nepalese plants don't have 2ft spacings, they are lanky but nothing like that much.

Mexican and Nepalese in the mid-70s, node spacing is 3-6 inches, nowhere near 2ft!

i cant promise, and it wil be hard to find in february outdoors, but i will try ... i know enough spots, where 60 year old genetics did naturally adopt to the climate, and became a landrace, without human interference

hard to understand in ur part of the world, where plants dont grow naturally as they should ;)

once again, im not criticising anybody, maybe my english aint that perfect and its a small rethorical issue from my side, as said
got nothing to do with criticism

how could i critices something that i even hadnt tested? u r confusing, and it seems to me, u r destructive too

I don't understand, first you said you grew 7m plants now you are talking about finding wild 7m plants in February? I'm confused.

I've seen feral cannabis in Turkey and Greece, it was no more than 3m tall and mostly monoecious. I expect it was escaped and acclimatised remnants of when they used to grow hemp for fibre as it looked like the feral plants you can find in The Balkans, Bulgaria and Hungary and those are remnants of the old hemp industry before WWII.

These are wild plants in Nepal, courtesy of Bodhi, the first pic looks to be about 7m tall but it's only grown stretched and lanky like that because it's growing in the shade next to a building. The plants in full sun are much shorter and less stretched as in the second pic.

imagine how i must be confused finding my pics on overgrow or any other site that went down ;)

just bc i grew em, doesnt mean i had taken pics of all and everybody, and if i had taken pics, why should they be necessarily on my harddrive ?

yes, many of those old reminiscent fibre strains (not monoecious!), became wild landraces, some of them found their sweet spot, dont worry they were psychoactive

monoecious strains r new to europe, compared to those old fibre strains, which were mostly imported for growing from other continents were they were not fibre strains in the first place

Well if you don't have pics then I don't believe you. I have heard tales of the sticky resinous nature of the crops grown in Hungary up until the 1940s but that doesn't mean they were very psychoactive. Fibre production from hemp has a long history in southern europe, hemp was grown by the Scythians in pre-Roman times for instance.

Regardless, your criticism of Kangativa's plants was out of order.

Hey guys all good here, Deran is allowed his opinion and I appreciate it.

Deran its a shame you dont have any photos, but I also understand how you feel about putting them up on the net.

I myself have never seen 7 mtr tall plants and that is after travelling to lots of places in the world including doing alot of Northern thailand on a motorbike, but I am open minded and I am sure you and other people have achieved it, if what you say is true then no worries.

Ok with the MM I have, I never saw any resemblance to Thai in it, I will put some pics up of pure Thai and Laos later and you can compare it.
But I can honestly say it has no dutch breeding in it, it is a pure Aussie strain.
I noticed in another post you stated that this is not what we want.....I just wondered who the we is ???

Last lets try and keep this civil.......Remember everybody is entitled to their opinions, I admit photos prove everything, but until proof is given we just have to believe what is said.

OK I understand now. I believe your referring to hemp:D It grows 7 meters tall and can be likened in structure to an old school Thai the likes of which would never finish in Europe. It comes with its own unique high lol!

Nev might even consider making a cross of Nevil's Haze x industrial Hemp. Grail the Ultimate Hemp Hybrid.:)

BTW nice photos from Nepal b_h.

Well that last post might have sounded like I was being a smart arse. Truth is Nev and Kanga are already working on a hemp sativa/Dutch indica super hybrid, as this recent photo can attest..

:D

Well speaking of Panama Red, here's one in the foreground on the right, next to a Kali Mist, in the background is something whose structure is unique. Certainly don't look like hemp. Mullumbimby Madness x Mullumbimby Madness/ SKHz. What I would call Kangativa Haze. 12 foot+ with 5 months left:p

Hope you guys don't mind my ongoing enthusiasm for this fella's work...

Hi guys ,
im not sure i doubt the 7 metres ,
ive heard of them up to 9 metres tall in New Zealand ,
long season sats maturing late getting to a massive size in the extended days they get down that way ,,
2 foot spacings between the nodes sounds not ideal , 1 foot ive seen when they are growing alternate nodes , more than that would have to be due to not enough strong sunlight id reckin ???

wow ,,
we agreed on something there mr hempy ,,
good to see ..

anyhows im sure we can also agree that its not really size that counts with good erb , its the quality not the quantity .

G`day deran /BH
Yo BH I think you need a hobby bro .
I find it offensive that you write all over these boards with speculation, innuendo and hearsay ! Though when another member relates their own personal expiriences and you counter with the ole "where`s the pics" line .
Scanning old photos from magazines does not confirm or deny the diversity of the Canna that grows in corners of the world that you have never
resided in.

So now NVL`s on sabbatical are you going to become Kang`s #1 nut hugger ?

I honestly believe you should find another interest to direct your overabundance of energy ,that at the moment is being used to spread missinformation and unsubstantiated urban rumour !
Don`t read me wrong here, I enjoy reading a lot of what you write but ,keep it real please bro . Thinking that you can know every detail of every species of Canna is to fool yourself !

Here`s an old poem that is relevant in this case .

A wise old owl lived in an oak
The more he saw the less he spoke
The less he spoke the more he heard.
Why can't we all be like that wise old bird?

Yes you may have journalistic training ,but atm it would be better suited to a tabloid than a Mj forum .
Thanks for sharin
Elmer Bud
