I am curious as to if all of you guys who are so fond of thai, has anyone tried any of ace or cannabiogens gear? They seem to be one of the few seedbanks who are using thais. Are these strains reminiscent of the old thai varieties or just shadows of their former selves? In particular golden tiger, green haze x thai, purple haze x thai, vietblack x thai, destroyer (thaixmex/col). Had this crazy idea to run some of these long flowerin kinds along side some nevilles haze and cross everything thats good to one another and try to find my own personal grail...These guys seem to be getting alot of rep over at ic but we all know how that is.

ok so nevil said crossing nh with an unrelated top quality cultivar should create an excellent hybrid. dubi from ace has said that crossing there sativa lines with the mns hazes should produce excellent results.
i think you have a very good chance of creating your own grail with that formula. i have nh to match with golden tiger, nep jam and panama, i also have the widow.
mate im an amateur for sure, im working in my head. i really want progeny test males from my stock that im getting the most from my seeds.
for those with more experience if i go through a pack of black widow (for example), find the best girl make individual batches from each male with her, then pick the best batch and therefor the best male.
basically what i wondering what is the chance that im getting the best breeding male from a pack when it comes to making hybrids?
if it was highly likely that i was getting the best breeding male out of that work i could achieve not only, the best f2's i could get from the pack, the best mum to smoke, but most importantly a good breeding male.
then say i wanted to make a cross i just have to choose the best female from that new stock and hit it with a presellected black widow male?
in essence, step by step as a go through each variety i am geeting,
1 - the best smoking female in clone
2 - the best f2's i can make for that variety
3 - a progeny tested breeder male in clone
4 - a nice hybrid with a previously selected male from another variety.
well its not perfect, but that would be the best i'd be able to get out of my seeds without having my own personal cannabis castle.
combining techniques from the bonsi method and time, and i guess its achievable.
