Grail: The Ultimate Haze Hybrid

Thanks for the clarification guys. Must be very nice to have family to grow and share with.
I envy that.
Couple of questions for the Purpur Posse if you don't mind:
  • How are you two gonna choose which of your own hybrids to run first?
  • How many plants from a strain do you usually run at a time?
  • Do you do enough numbers to allow a decent selection or are you just running a few of each and counting on the quality of the original genetics as assurance of quality offspring. Seems like selection within each strain is an important part of anyone making crosses that has the luxury.

Thanks again!

There were some crosses we are really excited about. Those crosses are sure to get more initial attention.

I did start a tray of 27 seeds ( 8 crosses) of which 4 came up. Those were real early seeds, right out of the bud into the soil. We will start more later.

Headband/Nevilles Haze and LA Confidential/Nevilles Haze are two we would like represented. We do have two LA/Nevilles Haze up and running now, soon to be transplanted.

What we do, is run some, save pollen from the best males and put it away. We check the smoke quality of the females, and if they are top shelf, we select at least one to add to the mothers closet. Then We run some more, and do the same thing, always gathering and collecting the best, and tossing the rest.

Got it !
So residence in the mother closet only lasts as long as you are better than the new girls (and males) coming around.
In that way, you are running a continuous pheno hunt instead of doing 20 at a time and picking from that.
That is a great solution to my desire for variety but previous assumptions about how to get the best selection with my resources. Thanks for giving me something to think about

In the last month I have been lucky enough to smoke test a 50% Mullumbimby Madness hybrid that is far and away the strongest, longest lasting, and most transcendental ganja I have smoked since the 1980s. That is no bullshit...
To balance this hyperbolic shot of no bullshit, I will confess that I am right now in the grip of a very nice Zoidfuel99 stone - the Zoid I believe must have some similar progenitors to Madness etc. because its some very nice shit thank you very much Donald...

Thank you nuteburn

That summary post complete with properly executed quotes that link back to the original posts is a HUGE gift to the rest of the members.
If only we could get it on the first page of this thread so people would not have to search from it a couple of months from now when it is buried by 50 more pages.
*sigh*

oz is the final frontier and yes, i have said this in other posts. perfect climate(s) for the development of the perfect plant. but alas, conditions are rugged and i am old. but my advice is the same as through the ages, 'go west, young man, go west' to the southeast pacific where the future of mj resides. peace-biteme
