Those crosses should be somthin special ,id love to ear updates when you grow them out .best of luck an enjoy

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Nl5haze n Mh ,id love to hear asmoke report with some details lol

Just to clarify ,you can read back in the thread from the horses mouth .The NL5haze from the 89 SB catalog aswell as the MNS NL5haze offered today uses the HazeC male .I know its been thought for many years that the Strain used the hazeA male an it has been put in several articles but as much info is false on the net soo was that .

Hi bigherb, I found this on the auctions web site.

Neville's Haze 1/1
NL5/HazeA x HazeC

It states that Neville's Haze is NL5/HazeA crossed with HazeC this makes me believe that I have NL5/HazeA and not HazeC that is why I stated what I did earlier. Perhaps you can shed some more light on this for me. I am not trying to refute you as I have absolutely no clue only get clarification.
Thanks so much,
Dawn

I thought Nevile's haze was a different line to the nl5 x haze he sold

on the cover of one of the catalogs i believe it has a 5hzA picture. let me see if i can find it.

Haze A produced 5HzA2 (5A2) and was featured on the cover of the 1990 catalogue and is the mother of Nevil's Haze,
the father being HzC -nev

I was only hoping to shed light an let the truth be known

Nl5hazeA survives as a cutting

As ive mentioned until Nevil posted the facts many things were Wrong an much info posted on the net/magazines is untrue .Such as the thought that nl5haze from the seedbank used the haze A male

Nevil actually got a lil annoyed with my persistant asking the same question as i wanted a straight up direct out right this is what it is ,i didnt mean to be a bother but i surely got the answer .

Some quotes below ,which i believe were in response to my Q's

????
NL5 and Haze C of course.

.

reference to nl5hazeC
It was, that's what I sold.
Sensi had it too for a while, it seems they've lost it but I don't know for sure.

Northern Lights 5 crossed with Haze male C. Is the best Indica / Sativa hybrid that I've ever done. HzA male to NL5 was also excellent and was the mother of N.H. The HzC was a complex sweet aroma, while HzA produced plants with a leathery smell, more reminisent of the old Thai's.
Complex liver/ leather smell is what I'm looking for in a good Thai descenant to cross with the Haze.

FIRST HAZE HYBRID AT SB nl#1 hz
HzC

Was HzC. HzA died before commercial quantities were produced

The last post sums what was discussed a while back that the hazeC was the only male used in direct crossing of hybrids that were sold by Nevil. The haze A an B direct crossings were given out to friends ,possibly sold privately but not sold commericially .

The Nevilles haze uses the 5HzA female an the an the 5HzC was the offering sold at the Sb

The picture can be found in the catalog thread page 2 post#16 an Nevil did say it was the HzA

I thought it was kinda funny having the pic on the cover an it wasnt offered ,seems it held a special place in Nevs heart .What's also funny about all the wrong info is how the cannabile used the pic for the Offering sold by Sb 5HzC

Thanks for clearing that up bigherd

I finally went through the sativa and Haze mixes and seperated the bud from the seeds. It was alot of work. They are in the clear packets

I still have to work on these

that sure looks like it was a lot of work, but i usually enjoy that part.
while the rest of the buds are drying and curing properly, i let the seed branches dry out completely and start sampling the buds as i gather the seeds.

While a cleaner and his Wife were here working on Panama and some 3rd picking of LA Conf today, I worked on debudding seed. It went by pretty fast. I used an air compressor on some of the bigger batches, after crunching up all the bud. I blew the buds material out the back door of the garage, the heavy seeds stayed behind in the bowl. ( It was well dried and kept in small baggies, It was no good to smoke)

Man o live, doc - very nice work! As I sit here this morning with a severe case of the flu (stupid ass, been telling myself to get the flu shot get the flu shot - oh no, what do I need that for, right?) unable to smoke and wishing I'd have made some cannabutter right now, I just have to say you're gonna have some crazy assed dank coming out of those mixes, my brother - the next couple of years are going to be imighty nteresting!! HOpe you don't mind me jumping on the tailgate for the ride, as this is as close as I'll be getting to mns genetics for a long assed time (long story, stuck using bagseed from willing donors around here locally - although "grapefruit indica" isn't looking too bad) Looking forward to seeing those babies grown out!

All good points Bigherb, Nev did indeed tell me that my NL5Hz which I purchased from the Seedbank, in 89-90, was in fact NL5HzC. He has also indicated in other posts that it was much more potent then the NL5HzA, which makes sense because unlike many Seed sellers, the Seedbank always marketed only its very best hybrid stock.

I would guess that the theory behind Nevil's Haze was that if Haze C crossed to pure Northern Lights #5 was the best haze hybrid to date, then a half haze Northern lights #5 crossed to Haze C would be even better.

Sounds logical. Using NL5HazeA and crossing it to Haze C, would also insure that the strain would not be inbred.

Anyway here is a 50% NL5hazeC hybrid, that does resemble her NL5hazeC ancester to a large degree:

After You stuff it with vegetables and cheese

it looks like an open face Subway sandwich, except thiese are all top quality veggies.

After You roll it up, it looks like this.

You want to rub it with extra virgin Olive oil, garlic, and fresh cracked pepper, right before throwing it on the barbeque

LOL Give it to her hard

You want to Barbeque it in a covered Barbeque, so it also bakes, and cooks the stuffing. Run a thermometer into it before serving
