tasted like scotch? are we speaking blends or highland single malts? and you know what they say about scotch; one needs to develop the proper palate to enjoy the stuff. peace-biteme

Scotch

I havnt had any Scotch for years. I really didnt like it when Ive had it in the past. It was the expensive type with the very different flavor.

I didnt like the Maple leaf flavor for the first time I smoked it because of that flavor. After enjoying the high so well, I began to crave the flavor of it due to Association with the High The high was astronomical/ Like an orgasm of the brain, the headrushes were off the hook.

The buds were solid, but not very large. The plant was taller then most of my Indicas. Not tall like a full sativa though. You could tell it was a top quality Kush. I would have put up those buds against some SFV and let the chips fall where they do. I bet seeds available now arent like these old stock beans

hay dr, what strain is that with these thin sissor leaves you have quite the sativa collection i must say im very impressed. Is that the majority of what you grow is sativa, one of my patients keeps talking about a strain called affie have you heard of it and is it available at any of the dispencearys out there in cali

I too, am interested in Maple Leaf. We have one female this year from the old seed stock we were given years ago in Humboldt. Every female from this pack, over the years, has made awesome buds. Very strong, very nice flavor. I thought it tasted kind of like scotch. I wouldnt be opposed to running a full tent of maple this winter. Thats another plant thats getting pollenated with the Blue Crush male. "Blue Maple" ;)
hey Dr P,
your comment about the scotch caught my attention in relation to an Ortega male I have kept for indoor breeding this winter.
He has displayed a strong Bourbon Whiskey aroma since he was moved into the sun, very resinous and smelly for a male,he roots well and has a hollow stem too,we see if it pans out next season...
keep the good info coming.

Are those seeds still available? If its anything like these old seeds, its tip top shelf. It does the same high as OG Kush, Sour Diesel, and headband, it just tastes like good booze to me.

Our Maple leaf males have produced many amazing phenos in its offspring. Save the male, harvest the pollen

Hi Rimmeo,

That plant is the Maui Sativa clone that has already been run twice.

To me it tastes like an Original Haze someone took to Maui and called Maui Wowi.

I grow Kush, Hazes, and Sativas. I love them all. The good ones that is.

The Affie is a Afghani strain. If its the LA Affie, its a sweet thick full round smoke. Nice high and a little relaxing. Good head high too. solid smaller buds. A joint lasts a long time. Everyone gets several hits, and everyone loves it. You smoke a good joint of well grown Affie with someone, and they will likely remember it the rest of their life, and remind you over the years about that joint.

that is more good news about the effect .
I had already decided to breed him to
Fire and SFV because of similar aromas displayed in all plants.
but we wont know anything until next year at the earliest.

Mango Haze x Oaxacan

Im pretty sure I made some Mango x Oaxacan x Durban. I cant remember if someone is growing it or not.

Your plant looks good Bushweed.

Heres a LA Conf x Oaxacan x Durban a few minutes ago. I like this plant.

Its a seedling, and Im looking forward to trying it for the first time. That is one of the joys of growing from seed. Grow enough clones to keep yourself going, and throw out some seed to spice things up, and keep things interesting.

Unknown Haze

Shes going into bud. It got mixed up in the big haze/Sativa run last winter. I dont know what it is, but it is dynamite top quality haze. Excellent flavor.
Light up a joint and people in another part of the house will join you shortly, and ask "What the hell is that?"

Answer: I dont know

Somehow the pot wasnt labled at transplant. I went through the notes and seed packs, and thought it might be a golden Tiger at first, but it tastes like a spicey Original Haze. A very small percentage of plants were saved. It earned its way at making the cut

Any other info you can share on its backround ?

Im curious as to your experience with Original haze ?
