G`day kashrocks
a couple of questions if you please
Is that plant also known as 5 c 122 ?
What does GBT stand for ?

Thanks for sharin

Elmer Bud .

Elmer,

I'm not sure about the first question, but you could always just pm shanti or nev for the answer to that. Or, I'm pretty sure Nev touched on that 5c122 thing somewhere in the "ask Nevil" threads, so you could probably look it up yourself if you prefer.

The second question: GBT = Gene Bank Technology. From what I can gather, it was a shantibaba venture which included a few others. At one point, he and his team were working with the Body Shop selling cannabis essential oils for their line of hemp based cosmetics and doing other things revolving around the medicinal uses of cannabis. I read something about a line of hemp beer being developed as well. I believe it folded in 2004 following the arrest of shanti and others by the authorities in Ticino, but I wasn't there so don't quote me.

Cheers,

HB.

The Panama has 2 distinct phenos according to Charlie one red and the other green. I've seen the photos and they are beautiful. The green is supposed to be stronger and is the breeders preferred pheno.

Has anyone grown Mekong Haze? Dr Purpur, did you ever get a chance to grow it?

Also, anyone grow Congo Haze?

Thanks everyone.

Mekong Haze

I should have popped some more seeds of it. I was really looking forward to smoking some of that one. I had a nice female in bud outdoors last november or December, I dug her up and potted her to take indoors to finish up. She went into shock and hermied on me. I may be getting a couple more sets of physicians recomendations from some buddies that cant grow. Then I can plant more seeds. Trying to stay legal here, as much as possible

I heard today that 3 plants from the GQ seeds (GrailQuest winter seed run ) went male on one guy. It was too bad, because they were big plants, but he has 10 others that are female and they are supposedly wild looking plants. With at least 50 parent combinations, people are excited to see how they turn out. We will be cloning them to save each one, during our search for the Grail

Congo

I did grow some African Haze 3 years ago. It was real strong. I also grew some African Indica in the mid 80s that was very sweet-sour tangy, thick smoke, and very strong. It had the biggest seeds Ive ever seen in Marijuanna.Twice as big as big seeds, maybe three times larger. You would all trip out to see those seeds. Wish I kept some.

wow you dont hear that much on african indicas really ,
some of the sativa seed ive gotten from south africa sativa were some of the smallest ive seen in contrast to the indica ones you had ...

That was back when you only took pictures with poloroids.

I do have some wonderful Poloroid pics (for the era anyway) from the late 70's and early80s. My scanner is down, and I need a new one. I had a Parrot that used to smoke grass. He would hold the joint up to his beak with his foot. He wouldnt puff on it, but used to get wasted. He was a gorgeous Bluefront Amazon Parrot. I had him for 27 years. The old dog who was deaf and losin it knocked him into the pond while I was away. Lost my buddy. He would sidestep down the top of the sofa to get him a nose hit. He loved munchin leaves too. I always let him eat what he wanted

Here He is..

Sorry about losing it, bro, but that was one cool assed bird!

Dr. Purpur, I appreciate you and all you've done for this thread, bro. Big kudo's to ya!! Keep smoking in peace, bro!

Dr P.,

Thanks for that info on Mekong Haze. Patience and love required for some of these flowers.

Just can't really do outdoor work here at all unless I want to go hide out in the mountains during the season.

I picked up some Swazi a while ago from the Bay; its supposed to be legit.

Thanks again Professor!

The Swazi sounds interesting. Ive got some Swazi Red from Afropips that Im aching to start. Do you have any plans on doing a grow journal for them? It'd be nice to see how they compare to Afropips.

Hey Jonny,

I'm thinking about growing that next. The guy I got them from lives in Swaziland. The seeds look healthy; they are dark colored.

I'm still trying to get my grow room finished.

I'll keep you posted. Thanks for your interest.

Swazi

Thanks guys for the encouragement and the wonderful description. I've spent a lot of time looking for the Swazi and then it just kind of fell into my lap. Maybe that is a sign. Let's see.
:)

This talk of Swazi got me so excited about them, that I finally decided to start the ten of them. These seeds were a light brown color with slightly darker tiger stripes.

The Swazi sounds good. Ive never grown it, that I recall.

I tore out an OG Kush plant yesterday. It was about 1 meter tall, and had gone in and out of bud twice this year. I was sick of looking at the single leaf mess on it. So when I accidently broke 2 branches while training it, I just ripped it out. I feel much better with it gone now.

I moved this plant into its place. I made this cross last winter. Its LA Confidential x Oaxacan.

The small plants behind it are (Mr Nice x Mango x PK Kush x Flo Purple x LA Confidential)

This one I made a few years ago. Every seed from this batch is a keeper, weither it is male or female. The females smell like cotton candy, peanuts and sweet pink popcorn. The buds give off so much volitile vapor, that cleaners complain about it irritating their eyes and nasal passages.

It is (California Orange X Blueberry x Salmon Creek Big Bud X LS1) The LS1 is an unknown blue hash plant from Humboldt. The Salmon Creek was the original clone from Humboldt, not a seed.
.

I just found a seed in my collection I may pop. Its an (Original Haze X LS1)
The pack says blue haze on it. Wouldnt that be a bomb?
