ok dr. purpur, i can't let it go and need to ask; what are the plans for the beach cruiser? i just bought a new beach cruiser myself, huffy cranbrook, and put an 80cc china girl kit on it. what a gas!! and cruisers are the perfect bicycle for one of these builds with the heavy frame and balloon tires. many peeps now buying them do so with the motor in mind. peace-biteme

Ive heard that you need a special mount to get it to fit on this frame. I was also looking at the 1000 watt electric motor/lithium set ups that go in the hub of each wheel. They can be charged with a charger, or by riding, and when you put on the brakes. Those cost over 2000 bucks, but that would be fun. they do about 5-7 miles on a charge, and can do about 30-35 without pedling. You could get a solar panel and ride for free all of the time

Very long thread

I was very excited about this thread when I started reading it. It started with alot of good information about origins of strains and landraces. I could barely resist skipping ahead to find out the outcome of the Grail. Now I find out that Nevil doesn't want to post anymore because of negative attitudes. A sincere thanks to Nevil for doing what he does best, breeding and spreading the best cannabis genetics for everyone in the world to enjoy.

Dr. Purpur you seem to be the haze and sativa lover around here, but aren't we all :) I was wondering you have any experience with any of Aces offerings? Im wanting to pick up another Sativa, and run it along side my Mango Haze soon :D.

Im still running Mango. We saved a wonderful pheno of it, and made many seed crosses with the same plant.

From the Ace camp, I have recently grown Tikal, GreenHazeThai,Double Thai,VietnamBlackThai,Panama, and Oldtimers haze.

The ones that stood out, in that run, in my opinion, were Panama, and GreenHazeThai. The GreenHazeThai took awhile longer then Panama. Panama had more solid buds, but the GreenHazeThai had enormous buds. The flavor of both was wonderful and Hazy. They were also very strong. I think I smoked all the Panama bud. I gave away 2 oz of GreenHazeThai to someone in need, then I was missing the high later. Id like to smoke some of it now.

I would steer clear of VietnamBlackThai, as I had a couple Hermies in those. Its good smoke, but I still have a bunch of it left.

The Tikal can be racy for some people. Ive had a couple trippy highs on it, and one real good "Laugh attack" high. I smoked a joint with this old guy who is in his 60s, and we both started laughing so fucking hard, and couldnt stop.Tears streaming down my face, snott nose, gasping for air between laugh outbursts. He finally holds up the joint and says"What is this?" I told him "Its laughing weed Man, what do you think"?

Doc

Doc, you crack me up with that beach cruiser, I can just picture you tooling around on that bad boy!!! Righteous! You are really rocking it these days, bro! Let me know how that lacon/oaxaca smokes, should be an interesting mix!!

I love wheels

I have the Unicycle My folks got me in 1965, the French street racer Dad got me in 1970, a radical mountain bike, and now the beach cruiser. I also have two antique motorcycles from the 40s and 50s. One has a suicide shifter on the side of the tank. That one could easily go right into a museum showcase.Everything is original, new.

I like to take a bong hit, and roll one of the old bikes out( usually the 40s Rat rod bike) about 10pm, kick that puppy over, and go blasting all over town.

Hi Dr. Purpur,

You are a busy guy... :) Thanks for sharing your thoughts on some of the ACE work.

What did you think of the Old Timers Haze?

Also, I keep hearing this talk of Maui Wowi? Is this something that you have had for a long time or is this currently available anywhere?

Thanks!

Hello Robert,

With the OT Haze, I believe I only started 3 seeds. One had a problem at sprout and died. One was female and one was male. Something happened to the female while she was in bud. I think she was in a smaller pot and somehow didnt get watered in time. I lost her. The male was harvested for pollen

As for the Maui. That came from Sativa seed bank. I grew 5. two were males. 3 were females. All females smelled similar.Good and hazy. One was a strange long running cat tail bud type. The pheno I kept was a solid bud haze with good plant structure and dynamite flavor and high. I let the other two go. I did collect pollen from the males.

The Hawaiian Maui Wowi I grew is not like the real Maui I had, living in Lahaina in 77. That weed was more insencey, earthy, and strong. This Maui is straight up Hazy and strong

The OT haze is what Ace is using to make there current green and purple haze crosses. Now it is no longer around at a decent price.

I may have to try their green haze...

They must still be working out the kinks on their Viet Black cross.

Yes, that Maui is the one I was looking at. They seem to have a few gems at reasonable prices.

Yeah, I was like 5 when you had the real Maui... :)

Thanks Professor!

Respectfully,

R. Fortune

Thanks for the detailed notes on them. I really appreciate it. You've just given me something else to consider. My number 1 atm is Golden Tiger(Malawi Gold x Meao Thai). Same father as used in the Green Haze x Thai. I probably can't go wrong with either.

Would you care to give a comparison of Mango Haze to the Ace strains? Are both breeders best sativas on par with each other?

Thanks again.

The GreenHazeThai took a long time to finish. Longer then Mango Haze. The Mango buds were more compact. Both had great flavor and great high. The greenhaze that were my largest plants in the sativa run.

Actually the panama is closer to the mango in bud structure if I remember correctly. People love them both. People love the name Mango Haze too.

DR purpur

Much props for keeping the thread an quest alive an popping

I Appreciate you sharing all your experienecs an great details (especially those pics ;))

Post 2316 was a great wit a good laugh

That is interesting to hear ,Sound right up my alley. Its great to have you Ot's reflect on the strains of yesteryear .considering the reported influence of thai strains being imported to hawaii it makes sense

How about that Ohaze x SK from CC ,I thought that would turn out to be a monster ,If I recall you posted pics of the hanging Greenhaze thai but cant find emmm.I was curious as to comparison of the Hz/SK aswell as my experience with Mns SK/Hz .I think that is a special line which is underated or not popular yet .The 2 seeds i popped had Great Vigor an were both very sativa leaning .

Ohaze x SK from CC? I had an Ohaze x skunk1 from sam I ran for a year or two. That plant was actually real good smoke, Sweet and hazy, The mites loved it though. They would attack everytime it went into bud.

From MNS I grew SSH, Mango Haze, and Nevilles Haze. All the winter run plants were cloned, with 80% of the clones tossed out after the harvest and sampling. The Mango and Nevilles Haze plants made the cut and are going strong outdoors. They are nice big shrubs. Each one should put out 2-3 lbs of sweet tangy hazy organic bud. Other guys are growing clones from those two plants as well. Both Mango and Nevilles were a real hit this year with friends. We were rolling fat bomber joints of mango, nevilles, and headband all mixed together. Makes an outstanding joint.

Skunkmans cultivators choice haze hybrids is what ive referred to ,I remember your pics in my thread which u had referenced some purpling asking questions to Sams. The dried bud pics were sexy aswell

The CC lines have always intrigued me ,Its very interesting to note the Similar charateristics between Sams haze hybrids an MNS haze hybrids. This is somthing that hasnt gotten much attention.

Ive reported in my experience compared to pics ive seen of Ohaze x skunk that MSN skunk haze seems more sativa dom .I think the Thunk is somthing we would both appreciate .

Soo it seems your Stanadards are quite high keepin 20 % of the mothers ,Im interested to hear more details on your Nevilles haze experience ,im also posted for those pics
