yep sounds great dr ,
im thinking by the descriptions itll be something ill be putting in the pipe quite a bit ...

grow it in some mango tree leafs compost, like how they do on reunion island for their zamal "mango carotte" ! (grow under the tree to add mango taste) ;)
the mh and mw are two strains i want to test too !
even nevil like the mango widow !! :D

Nevil told me to cross Mango Haze to everything I have, And I did that. I can hardly wait to try the MangoLA. I think there are three of them going, about 9" tall

sounds like a nice idea ,
should give you added vigour ,
excessive resin and flavour ,
nice highs ,, what more can you ask for .. hehe

Heres is the bud grown from the GQ (GrailQuest)seed. Keep in mind that it is from a small plant grown in a tiny apartment from Headband pollinated by Nevilles Hazer Male. I think it was Nevs Haze #2 male. I still have the dads pollen, but not the male plant.

He did the best he could in his little place, and Im very proud of him and his work.

Here it is. Its in hi def , so you can scope in for a close up if You like.

how's that smoke doc?
Looks to me very much like some sourd/chem i've smoked. :p

NL#5 PURE

the nl#5 seeds rimmeo got in 1990 were a nl#5xsk#1 backcrossed several times to the nl#5.

Peace.

K.

dont like to correct members but the back crossing was done with the nl#5 original cutting not the nl#5x sk#1 I VISTED THE CASTLE WHEN THIS WORK WAS BEING DONE AND THE WORKERS BROUGHT ME THROUGH THE WHOLE PROCESS, THE WORK IN THIS PROCESS WAS QUITE INTENSIVE THE NL#1 WAS ALSO USED TO ACHIEVE THE PURE SEED STOCK OF THE NL#5. WE STILL HAVE SEVERAL PLANTS THAT WERE FROM THE ORIGINAL CUTTING FROM THE SEEDBANK IN THE 80'S. ALSO WE HAVE THE ORIGINAL CUTTING FROM THE BIG BUD. I GUESS SHANTI CALLS IT CRITICAL MASS WHICH IS A GOOD NAME BECAUSE THE BUDS GET SO MASSIVE THE BRANCHES BREAK ALL THE TIME DUE TO THE WIEGHT OF THEM

Original hazes from the seedbank

Nice pic Dr Purp,

I would have to throw my hat in with the Nevil's Haze.

Here is one of my most recent Haze Indicas: It is an F2 Oakland Haze, It is drenched in some of the largest trichomes I have ever seen, they rival the triches of her great ancestor, my original Seedbank NL5Haze cut:

Wow, that is pretty incredible, bro! Are they holding their vigor well? I've never been able to keep one that long, and was wondering if you've noticed any degrading at all? Or is she still just as strong as when she was young?

Have read elsewhere that the original NL5xHaze was special.

Pretty sure the original NL5xHaze used the Haze A male and not the Haze C male used in the cross today. Also, the original NL5 cutting is gone, so if you aren't buying a poly hybrid with it in the cross, you are probably getting Shanti's new version.

Someone will be along shortly to give you details on which MNS crosses have the A male exclusively and correct anything incorrect in my statement above ;)

Yes I wonder about that, particularly after hempy showed the way his Queeny cutting of Mango Haze had deteriorated over time. And I believe he said the smoke went from 9/10 down to 7/10. Do clones deteriorate in quality or not?

no nev used the haze c for his hybrid i asked him recently

It had a real interesting spicey flavor, Nice smell. It was a pretty strong haze high. I got a tiny bit paranoidm but with reason I suppose.

Its a real good plant. I hope someone took a clone of it.

Someone just walked in the door with fresh gooey sour diesel; . purple Buds, Purple hash , and Sour Diesel hash. Im high. They just pulled in from Humboldt. They brought food too! LOL!

I asked him also, back when he was posting. He said that the seed that the Seedbank sent out to people who ordered it was NL5X Haze C.

That would mean all my NL5XHaze hybrids are derived from Haze C.

Whatever it was it was the bomb.

The thing I remember about it was that the warning that was in the catalogue, which all of us were skeptical about, turned out to be warranted. Some people would just flip out after smoking NL5hz. Like literally...

The high is almost like a trip, it lasts like 6 hours and you can smoke it like 3 times a day without building tolerance. Three bonghits a day and I was flying all day long.

Honestly 2 bonghits straight in a row?
That was a scary proposition dude.

Bring a couple of Jays of that to a party and guess what?

The party is over.

Smoke a little with the band... They stop playing.

No Joke man, that was the heavy shit, for real.

Cool, do you still find it that way?

Well, the recent NL5Haze hybrids I have popped have all been very hazy. The strongest one is the HHG and it is a 6 hour high. Now that I have been smoking it regularly its more like 4 hours.

I recently went to a bunch of dispensaries around town and picked out some gram samples of the best of what is going around, including some sour deisal that was supposed to be measuring at 24% THC, for comparing to mine.

I even got a gram of hash which was labelled as being 36% THC; it was mild compared to the HHG.

I have such tolerance from HHG that these strains barely had effect on me, even smoking first thing in the morning, except one, called Durban Poison. It sure was different than the durban I used to get as a kid, but it was good enough so that I could actually feel it, if I smoked it before HHG in the day.

Even HHG while it is very hazy and very strong, it is not as powerful as my original NL5XHaze cut.

Hey bigherb, would you happen to have the thread of hazy lady's THH? I would like to see it.

Thanks,
Dawn

Dawn

Here is Hazy lady's thread Again thread a must see for all haze lovers

Silver, Blue and Tom Hills too! - The united colours of Haze - International Cannagraphic Magazine Forums

Herb - you inspired me to crack some of each out of the haze strains after seeing that thread. That guy grew some amazing O Haze...i wonder if t was seedsman or TFD? Did he ever say anywhere other than it being a cut of o haze?

I busted out some Seedsman O Haze, Tom Hill haze, Seedsman Sugar Haze, Kiwi Seeds Mexican Haze, Nev's Haze, and some Oldtimer's haze Indica Pheno seedstock. Since the oldtimer's haze might have some nepalese in it, it indeed might be good to cross it to the Tom Hill or O haze - might avoid the degradation that nev mentioned from crossing haze to haze with the hybridization. I'm interested in this Oldtimer's Haze indica pheno. Snowhigh told me who bred it originally but I can't remember. Anyone know or know where i can see pics of it?

Matt

Im Glad i did soo

It was seedsmans stock from 08

Id suggest if you have extra space not to be scared to try a haze x haze yes both Nevil an Sams suggest not to do soo .we know its best in hybrids but ive seen originla haze X Ot haze that was beautiful ,not sure as to the smoke report though

Id check Ace forums at IC for any Ot haze info

Im thankful you ,can share your first hand experience with us .Im also sad that the taste of yesteryear is not prevelant today .

Not trying to be negativa but this always sticks in my mind

The thing i remember most about the catalog is

We managed to salvage a few viable seeds from the last crop grown in the us

The stock that I got from Sam was 69'/ 70'. He told me it was 60'/70' and warned me of poor germination results. The various batches were labeled and dated. All indications are that he was telling the truth. He was also reluctant to sell because of limited stock.
Is anyone suggesting that either he or I are lying about this?
N.

Well Bigherb, I wouldn't swear on a kilo of Haze Hash, that he told me that he grew them himself.
I seem to remember one batch had a number of years mixed together something like '66,'67,'68. A prominent ancestor was a thing called "Burning Bush".

I also clearly remember that the first 6 plants came from batches dated prior to 1970.
As I said before, the plants were hybrids. By all means, see if you can get to the bottom of this. I have given my testemony.
N

Haze was Grown in the US till 81 an the burning bush was released in 81

Just some food for thought
