Fugazee Organics

Biggie Bueno :D I spoke with Chef Sabi last night. He's got his head on his shoulders ;) Yo, check out the university of Nebraska at Lincoln's educational website. There are a shit ton of lessons that are available online for free. I learned as much in actually sitting down with the lessons for 3 hours as I have in 2+ years online trying to decipher what other stoners are trying to say.

Corn Genetics 101

I got my cmh's :D True fuggin color. And I'm sure that I'm looking at a yield increase over the next 6 mo. :D

TRUE COLOR! (EDIT - NOT TRUE COLOR! :-P. I changed the color balance on my point n shewt to 'red' when I was taking the pix under the MH yesterday. I left it there for these pix, and just realized it now. Lol, even with the white balance set to red, these pix are WAAAYYY closer to reality than under the HPS. I took replacement pix, but that is more work than a text edit :^) 2moro is chop day, so I'l load ya's up then.)

This is a Master Kaze 5 weeks today. I could have never taken these pics yesterday. I just leaned on in, and snapped em off - No moving plants!! :^)

3 gallon Lanina beauty and her friends. This 3 gallon should crush any single container that I've done so far yield-wise. I'm hoping for a Quap from the 2 cuts in it. As long as I don't fukk them up, I think they will get there.

That aint a Nina on the bottom is it?

That looks like a big cola you got right ther man....i see the other Ninas in the bak ther doin the haze stretch up to ur lights hah

Hey i got some ?'s bout sum hobby breedin i don't think i'll ever b a breeder for a large seedbank or anything like that but i do want to b able to leave this earth wit a few of my own hybrids stable n in the hands of others

Do u think it'd b alot harder to make a IBL or bx of a hybrid, i kno it'll be harder than makin one with landraces but lets say i get some Medman outcross her to sum Afghani(or Purple Paki Chitral) and then bx to the Medman

u think after time i could have my own lines (like how BOGs done wit his bubblegums) i'd much rather make sumthing brand new but if i select for wat i'm like i'm sure i could change this hybrid into wat i like from both parents

My main ? is if i want to make a strain should i jus go for shantis aproach save the parents so i can always have the same offspring or try n make sumthin like Sam did with skunk

Bo, I really dunno the answers to your Q's. I'm just growing as many plants as I can, and reading about the 'science' behind breeding. I'm POSITIVE that it's as much of an art as it is a science.

I would like to turn a few of my seeds that are from vigorus hybrid plants into 'more uniform, less vigorus' inbred lines. The idea is that with each successive inbreeding generation, you stabilize traits, but the same mechanism that makes the plants display similar features (homonogeous growth) is the same mechanism that leads to inbred depression or 'loss of vigor'. Once I have the seed lines gorwing in homogenous patterns (3rd inbred generation+), and breeding true for what I select for, I plan on selecting different individuals to use as 'prospective parents'. I would take individuals from each 'line', and cross them in attempts to re-create true f1 hybrids.

It's all really just sroking with under 100females at a clip, IMO. And I'm sure that to established breeders, it's stroking if looking at under 1,000 plants...

But whatever :D Just cause I aint in the NBA don't mean that I can't hang on the court Sunday mornings in the old man league! :D

Inbred line? My best guesses? Run a bunch of Shits and/or Widows and/or Spices. from each, do some selection on the parents. I bet that the offspring from a straight inbreeding of any oif those strains would be relatively uniform. My 'bets' are based on the LIL bit of 'science' that I know, and not at all on experience, lol. REALLY, for all of my talk, all that I have run are 1st gen hybrids of breeder packs.

Hah don't stress man was jus askin wat u think...i know that breedin isn't exact science anyways was jus thinkin wat would b better

the only thing that gets me thinkin is wen people talk bout 1000+ plants n breeding i understand it gives u good selection but really could't u come out wit a better hybrid wit jus 10seeds if ur lucky enough to get males n females that go well together

It don't really matter how much plants u got but more on the quality of ther progeny right?

I know more plants will give u alot more possibilities but does it really make it impossible to breed wit less plants because at the end of the day u only use 2 plants

Nothing is impossible, but with fewer plants, you get fewer genetic possibilities, and more 'bottlenecking'. The top 10% are the top 10%. If you run 10 plant, only the best one will be the top 10% of that given run. Male or female, select wisely, lol. If you only run 10 plants, you only have a 1 in 5 shot at seeing a top 5% (of the entire group) plant. If you run 100 females, you will have 5 top 5 plants.

There is a thread LOADED with information @ ICmag, but unfortunately it's behind a lot of internet bickering. It's in the strains and hybrids section, and titled 'which male to use in a cross?'

Anyone can make more of the same. If I would like to fancy myself a 'breeder' by any stretch of the word, I have to accomplish SOMETHING other than just inbreeding a skunk, or back crossing a killer ssh cut or something. I will be doing both those things, lol, but my goal is to create inbreds to select parents to make hybrids.

Yee i get wat ur sayin

I've actually been readin around alot of dif seedbanks to see how they started out n wat they got if its legit

I'm interested in ACE seeds they seem to b straight up bought how they do things n they have alot of old landraces in ther lines and they sell some landrace lines aswell

Mayb i can do some Guatamalan inbredin i'll call it my lost heritage haha

my hole life i've jus told people i'm brown because everyone asks me how i'm mexican n don't speak spanish hah...some people think i'm middle eastern asian white its like nah man i'm brown haha

Hah iono if its bad to admit that i'm mexican becuase thers alot of racist out ther but i am who i am

I'm Mexican Spanish Guatamalan n Native American Sioux...but i'm 100% americanized hah

When my boys call me indian i'm like stfu motha fucka i was here first i'ma native american not indian hah

Technically i could b portegese or italian bcus my grandma was an orphan n we do not know wat she was (portegese and sumthing we think)

my genetic backround from wat i know is....

(Mexican x Guatamalan x Sioux) x ( Spanish x ? )

Im a Brown Mut American if u don't like me.....ummmm do i care?.......no haha

Yo when I was sellin cars, I sold a Buick to a guy who was an orphan. He lived in NYC his whole life, but to get the car he had to switch all of his paperwork to another state. To do that, he had to produce his birth certificate. What he had, and what he had used in the 40's to get his license (he was a cabbie for 30 years) was either from the catholic hospital where he was born (in the 20's), or the orphanage he was at (I forget). Anyway, the new state wouldn't accept that, and he HAD to get some official docs from NYC. He brought all that he had on his genealogy to the dealership for me to help him get moving with DMV. Shit was 75+ years old, and was mostly handwritten notes on 'notebook' paper in PENCIL. It was like an ancient discovery, lol. Long story longer, dood found out that he was either part Italian or Jewish (I forget, lol), and seemed genuinely pleasently surprised. :D He learned all about his father and where he came from in the process. By the time we got him licensed, I had blown out of the delaership, but I still kept in touch for ~2years (christmas cards and the occasional phone call). He and his wife had lived A LOT in 75+ years in Brooklyn. :D As I'm typing this, I'm pissed that I didn't keep in touch last Christmas with them (I moved, and neglected to let them know, or send them anything :^[ ). I'ma get them a card and send it 2moro.

I'm:
F: Polish x Russian
M: Irish x [english/dutch x (french/english x english)]

In the breeding world, I'm pretty close to a classic 'double cross hybrid'. Lol, A double cross would be (AxB)x(YxZ) Where A and B are close in expression, but different strains, and Y and Z are same story. A double cross gives more predictable offspring than a single cross F1, but less vigor. More vigor than inbreds or poly-hybrid 'soup'. :D

Patrick thanks for the link. I'm gonna dig right into it! you wouldnt happen to have a link on "teaming with microbes" would you? lol

Yo, click the bottom link in that post, then navigate on the left side of the website. They have KILLER soil biology lessons.

CHOP DAY!!!

Pakalolo - 120 days!!! Too bad the trolls chased you from this place, JSheezy. I wouldn't have let this go that long if you didn't take your 'beast' 17 n a day. VERY GLAD I did, lol. Heavy, big, sweet buds.

Flipped these cuts on Aug 25.

Ahhh. RIP, Pakalolo.

I'm LOVING the lights. The seedplants in bags are the (EDIT - WR x AK. White Rhino mother - dunno the lineage, smoked like a musky Indica whack to the ol Medulla Oblongata. Father is SUPPOSEDLY a Serious seeds Ak), and the white 3.4l sq's are SSH #5 (amnesia cut look/smell alike, lol) x (og kush x g13/Hz). I repotted out of 3.5" squares and flipped today. The bushy lil cuts in bags are MKaze. 2 are 11days, and 2 I flipped today.
S7305828.JPG

MKaze 11days. (sorry bout the color, she's closer to the hps, and I didn't realize till I got the pic up)

Same MKaze cut (my only), day 1. Vegged for 11 days longer.

Here's pretty much how the beer cups get down. The 2l pots are the same SSH cut (my only, lol), Day1. JB, if you'r listenin, run a Double gulp or 3, and I'll keep these ssh's in the 2l's!

Beer cup SSH's (lol, getting sick of these 2 yet???).

amazing looking Spice flowers, Patrick! makes me wish i had some Spice, or just any good Hawaiian, to throw in the 'ol Volcano right about now...

Thanks fer droppin by, jd! :D Spice is killer pot. It's got a rich, burnt rubber, tropical skunk (pepe le pew not 'sweet') thing going on. I've run 3 clones (2 from a spice pack, and this one from a dreamtime), and they have all been pretty much the same - killer smell, happy/dreamy high, no stretch, AMAZING bagappeal. I ran 1 cut for a few months, including outside summer 08. Outside, she looked much more like a hybrid. All 3 seemed very prone to nanners. Not light leak nanners, either, IMHO. I don't generally have plants act up unless I'm going in and out of my room (I expect some nanners in Oct when I'm "working" just outside the bloom room), or I fukk up and burn them. These last 3, I COULD NOT keep under control. They would have gone another ~10 days to purple up (they weren't taking up much space, lol), but I can't have she-he pollen flying around.

Yo, when I FIRST bought seeds (way back in 07, lol), I wanted some hawiian and some G-13, because those were the 2 'strains' that used to blow me away everytime I would go to a 'parking lot' scene. I NEVER had a hookup that I believed what they told me the bud was. Even the delivery services in NY just make shit up. But yeah, I got the Spice, and the Sativa Seedbank Pakalolo. I LOVED em both, but I like the spice x ssh crosses more than the original Spice. They are more practical for me in that they yield better due to the stretch. Gonna run another batch of Spice x SSH (superspice) later in the winter.
:)

Enjoy your Harvest
