Ok, so I had sort of a moment of clarity this morning. I was coming back home after running out to go get milk for coffee and eggs (yeah, too broke for the light cream AND the milk), and I'm driving back home in the 'pre-dawn', just thinking... I haven't been legal to drive in a long time. Like since Bush's first term. I was eligible ~ a year ago to pay up and get legal. Well I put off taking the financial hit to go legal, and it was the wrong move. The plan for last summer was to get out of debt, get legal to drive, and buy a POS crotch rocket to rebuild over the (this past) winter. Well, I ended up paying my short term debt, but maintaining my long term debt, and smoking a shit ton.
I got sort of heated at myself as I realized how I wasted the last 12 months. I learned a little, but NOTHING like the 12months prior. So I'm saying to myself, "You should be chilling, waking up, smoking a little haze, grabbing a dog, and going fishing (my state stocks a million trout per mile of stocked stream...). Then I should be going home, taking a nap, and going on a road test/ride on my bike. I shouldn't be worried about payments here and there, I should have paid everybody from Nov--->Feb. What did I do? Smoked mad blunts, and did just enough to keep on smoking mad blunts." Well, as I go up the hill, I can see closer and closer to the 'crest' of the sunrise. Just before I turn into my community, I see a guy on a dual sport bike pull out of the development, and at the bus stop a girl no older than ~12 y/o is smoking (a cig...). I was smoking instead of driving myself to GET WHAT I WANTED. Then I noticed that I could see the first rays of the sun - A New Day.
Balls out this summer. I've got to get some serious green in the ground, and really put in work.
