Yeah those do look good !!

I really like how they have nice THICK stems. I like plants that have that sturdy look.

Early Queen is the strain you think will finish ok here, especially if flowering clones at like mid July or so, right? Clone(or a plant vegged for 5-6weeks) wud finish in 7-8 weeks tops?

Be fun to grow a nice big plant outside.

My first EQ I ran from seedplant only, and I took her 10+ wks since 1st flower; so I wouldn't say she would be particularly 'fast'. I don't know when she would trigger outdoors naturally, OR how fast those clones would have been. Just guessing, but I figgure that they would do 'ok' here (finish early/mid Oct.), but Shit was QUICK. All of my Shit plants have been quick. Even the one I have going now - lil more sativa, looser buds, hairs not dying as fast - is finishing up judging by resin 'cloudyness' nice and quickly. I'll have a handle on the (EQ) strain a lil better after seeing these 2 ladies, and how they run as clones. I'll be keeping them long enough to crack and sex my last 3 EQ seeds in the hopes of an orgy F2 batch :)

L - Good to see you posting again! Had to dip like Dave Chappelle after the fame of POTM, huh? Did you flower the Greeks? LOL, your recco of 'run the whole pack to get the feel of the strain' haunts me ;) I pieced these and the Dev's out, but I got a full on LaNina run on deck...

EDIT - Rare Earth (Gen Hydroponics) = Thick stems, glossy GREEN leaves :D

EQ #1 on the left. Both ~2wks. The 'timing' on these is very subjective, as I flipped em over a month ago, then when they showed I cut em way back. After the shave, I gave the plants 5-7 days back. :)

The lower leaves on this one are fukked cause of stress on the re-pot. I have a tendency to either pack em too tight in the pot, or keep em too wet early - not letting the roots GROW. Will deffo cost me in plant size (yield).

No real distinguishing smells yet.

hi mate quick q have you got limited headroom in your grow area because all of your plants iv seen you keep them quite small (not that thats a bad thing)

I have 400's, so I don't get much light penetration past ~24" from the bulbs. If I keep the tops 6" from the bulb, I want no more than 18" of bud. I've found that just about anything not on the main and shaded is worthless. I chopped a plant today that has ~1oz of bud, and the same volume of larf that will weigh ~7g. Had I chopped the larf, I would be closer to 2oz. If I had 600's/1k's, I would grow bigger plants.

EDIT - I generally keep ~18" in height difference for the bulbs, and they never really get any taller than ~40" off of the top of the 'fake' floor.

Just ~4wks.

I have healthy cuts of each, and my feeling is that IME, clones differ enough from their seedplant mothers to warrant running them (the clones) and judging them separately. I just dropped the last 3 EQ. I will grow a cut of each of these (#'s 1 & 2) into a bush, and flip em when I flip the seeds in ~a month. I want to have multiple cuts of EQ and EQ f2 seeds to run outside this summer.

~5wks. I screwed these plants pretty good. This is what happens when the plants stay too wet. I'm going to let them dry the fukk out, and stay relatively dry until harvest. I'm going to lose 1/2 the possible yield from loving these plants too much. Remember, I vegged these way longer than most of my other seedplants, and they were in 2l's when I flipped em (as opposed to 6oz/16oz cups or 4"x4" squares). I shouldn't have had a problem pulling ~2zips per, but it ain't happening. Prolly 2 zips between the 2.

there fillin up nice now B

ill be gettin a pack of these girls in the early spring for the outdoor grow
so as always ill be watchin

nice one son

Hi mrmr. I liked the one female I ran prior MUCH more in the grow category than these 2. These seem faster, but I screwed them good by keeping them wet. The one on the left is going to give up 15-20g, and is ready right now (what I'm calling 6wks, but read back some to when I started 'counting'). The one on the right has close to an ounce on her, and is still building bud. Prolly a fat oz (30-35) in ~10 days. That is pretty pathetic, ESPECIALLY considering how long these were vegged (~5wks from seed). Problem #1: TOO WET. Problem #2: No recovery time given after 'shaping' stress. Problem #3: Room is colder, so plants must be done properly to yield.

Ugh. I need to stop doing the 'report threads', and stick to the 'hey look at page after page of my favorite plant' threads...
EQ #2. Done @6/7wks after first flowers

EQ #1. Gonna go ~8wks after 1st (43 days 2day).

From the back.

I have clones of both, and I consider clones to be different plants with similar tendencies (as the seedplant parent). So I'll run both, and keep a plant in a 4 x 4 or 2l in veg.

Hey, I have a lil PM thing going on, and these plants are obviously not the happiest/healthiest that they could be (leaving them more succeptable to disease/pests), but I haven't seen a single spot on the plants. These and the SSH seem to be resistant. The Spice x ssh and pakalolo x ssh are the most affected.

EDIT - The spots on the leaf of EQ2 are from feeding from the 'organic bukkit'. This may have contributed to the PM problem on the other plants. MrMr - Dunno if the truck works, it's my landlord's kids'. Before I moved here, I had dropped plants off (~30 plants ~5wks from seed, unsexed) and had them in the dark in a bedroom. My LL helped me move my furnature cause he has a truck. He had something to handle here with his insurance agent, and he left the kid with me for a few hrs on the morning I moved in. ~2hrs later, I find the 12 y/o in the bedroom with the plants (they were in rubbermaids/cardboard boxes, in the room w/ no ventilation for ~2 days) watching the TV. Room STINKIN! Uh, c'mon Timmy, let's go watch tv in the living room.... NOW TIMMY!!!!

i remember when my sisters kids walked in an old grow room of mine i shit myself.there was just to many questions
even after id said i was growing tomatoes that just wasnt good enough for them
"why are they indoors"
"wats with the light"
"wats the noise"
"why do you need a fan"
and on and on

i ended up buying them an xbox to shut them up

kids eh little fuckers

Hi Barletta, NICE show as usual, loved the colas on page 3 or so :)

Don’t want to mess with your grow, but don’t you think you could cut less plant material when fimming? Aren’t you reducing your own yelds having plants flowering just with 2 little branches? Just curious about your opinion…

Anyway, other than that they look very happy in your hands :D

It is pretty much dependent on the plant, and the plant's root base, IME. As long as I'm leaving the fans, I feel like the plant is still receiving much of the light energy down low, but the growth energy is directed towards the 'top(s)'.

I was sort of growing these for cuts and for seeds. I didn't get an EQ male, so no seeds. That plant SHOULD have been 2 tops, each ~20g. I left it so wet that the roots decided to not go searching (grow), and my yield is corresdpondingly low. IMO, it is far more important that a plant have a healthy, established rootmass when flipped, than it is to have 'plant mass'.

Here is EQ #2 ~7/8wks since 1st. Funky lil indica.

She comes down this wk, and I have a few clones to flip.

EQ #1 was a shitty yield (my fault). Smoked very nice, even w/o a cure. Not a kick ass plant, but a sweet chocolaty smoke. The high is sativa leaning, and strong at first but faded relatively quickly. That plant was kind of a waste, as I fukked the yield, and needed the space, so she got pulled a lil early.

This plant will be mostly head if she smokes like she smells. Sweet n funky.

EQ #2 smokes like a CHAMP. Strong, funky, skunky fire. Seems like it could be related to the Shit. Has a 'deadstuff/skunk' undertone that the Shits have. Similar 'expansive indica' type high. Stoned, but not stuck to the couch. :)

#2 also roots very easily. I had lots of casualties (prolly ~50%) with my um... COLD veg area, but the EQ 2's (and ssh 4's) did pretty well. I have a few clones in 12/12, and I'll drop off pix when they start to flower. I have 1 cut of EQ #1 which is not rooted, but not dead either, 6wks later...

Hey barletta

Glad to hear that EQ#2 smokes great
She looks nice n frosty , would be nice to see some pics from the dry flowers too.

Keep it up

No prob L :^) My deck is covered with ice, so I had to take these under the CMH. The buds have nice bag appeal, but nothing like the ssh/spice. Frosty lil green nugs. This is a VERY nice smoke, and I'm super impressed at how rich the smoke is for only ~7/8 wks since first. I hope the cut keeps the high/smell. IME, they are the traits most likely to pass from seedplant to clone. It seems like traits like bud structure, finish time, food needs, relative yield (vigor), and coloring are more subject to change from seedplant ---> clone. I dunno, just what I've seen, and seems like there is more variation overall with more sativa heavy plants. IME the Spices/Shits/lone MW stayed relatively close overall, and the SSH's/pakalolo's/ssh crosses seem to have LOTS of variation from seedplant --> clone.

Got problems with the gallery, so these may not show right away...

nice buds B

not shaw i agree with you on the seedplant and clone idea
all my clones are exact copys of the seedplants(taste/high/colour/vigar)
its only when i fuk something up and the quality gose down

my pennys worth

great show as always B keep it up

Hi Barletta,

If you grow a group of clones under the exact same conditions there should be no variability. Clones should look exactly the same. But if you change any of the variables, like for example a different food supply, different light conditions, then you might find some differences.

Now that I’m finishing writing this I’ve remembered something. You might be referring to differenced between the seed plant itself and her clones. I believe when such is the case there might occur some minor differences, like a shorter flowering time.

Your first picture is beautiful, I wish I could start the day with a bud like that one :)

Anyway, I’m high ;)

Barletta, thanks for the pics and discussion. I agree that clones can vary from seedparent. Yield, vigor and resin production would be my choice as most likely changes from seedplant. Overrall a lot can be explained by the clone having more vegetation time imo
