I got some EQ today (thanks again homeboy), and promptly put 10 into a papertowel to germ at about 3pm. At 10:30, I have 2 sprouts, and the rest of the seeds look swollen. Lookin nice and viable.

About a week ago, a kid that I know asked me for some seeds. I thought I hooked him up when he got about 15 sshf2's and 15 superspice (spice x ssh). The next day, he tells me that he wants to run them outside. Well, my 3 ssh would have NEVER finished here as seedplants, and I think that the super spices will go 9-12 wks, so maaaayyyy finish. Anyway, I felt kinda bad. This is a good guy trying to get out of the crack game. He has been working and learning from a commercial outdoor farmer this summer, and while he will get taken care of come november, he wanted a few for himself. He is going to get the first 6 sprouts, and I will run whatever is left inside.

My pack came with 18 seeds, so I STILL have 8 to run. I will probably do a EQ/SSH/Gsk/kalichakra/shit/martian mean green seed run starting around Thanksgiving. If I get a female EQ here, she can join the party. I have these open packs of seeds, and have run a few of each previously, so I would like to really know what I am looking at.

I will get pics in a few days when they are (green) sprouts. Anyone with info/questions/pics/suggestions is more than welcome to post em here

;)

Hi barletta

You do the right thing man!

I m sure if its his first real grow he is gonna love the Queen :) Very easy to grow and hardy plants with lovely tasting juicy buds. If I ever need a very fast outdoor strain the EQ would be in my top 3 list.

Wish your buddy good luck and looking forward to seeing the show!

Keep us updated

post some pictures when it gets going;)

im going to get some EQ and early skunk ready for next year. i got so many seeds and cuttings i got no room for them:mad: i just got 50 lowryder x nycd ready to germinate to make some seeds for next year and want to cross a few with my CM to see what happens:D iv started looking for out door spots today i found a lovely place about 10 miles away its right out in the sticks up in a forest. i used to go there as a kid, but they have blocked up all the entrances. i got a 4x4 but that cant get over 3-4 feet boulders and steel gate. i had my hart set on this spot when i saw it on google earth its perfect no one will ever go that far in to the forest on foot. i wanted to drop everything off in the truck and work at night *crying* ill have to make some sort of ramp to bridge over the obstacles? i just hope i dont bottom out and get stuck trying to clear the boulders or that would be the fucking end of it LOL.

Now you're talkin, nut. I hate motivating myself before hand, but I love to get out there, and the feeling when you get home, covered in slop, ticks, blood, prickers/pricker branches still stick to your neck and back. Take a shower, and for the hour or so between the after-shower and sleep, it is a buzz all of it's own. I LOVE google earth for scouting. 1 thing, though. GE takes 1 pic, so you have to figgure out what season it is. I back it up with live.com, which is not as good (usually) as GE, but has 2-3 maps (different x's of the year), and the default maps are newer, IME.

I put 7 of the 10 into dirt between yesterday and today, and no sprouts so far. I still want a cut of any female, and the 1st male to show from my buddy. I will force him to take cuts and label. Someone forced me 1 time, and that has worked out ok.....

EDIT - I am thinking that I want to have a nice run of EQ and Early Durban (unless this EQ shits all over it lol) clones to come out ~May 1, reveg for 2-3 wks, and go right in the ground. 30 re-vegges would easily = 30 lbs harvested, and with minimal hole prep. 30 re-vegges, and 20-30 established clones. No running around like an idiot for me next summer, dropping a pound here, a pound there. I could even drop re-vegges off again July 1 if I run another 8-9 wk run.

just took another drive down there to have a look at an old exit i used to know they have dug big holes to stop anyone driving down there its a well known spot for ppl to burn cars out so they do everything possible to block every way in. i could drive over a low part of the boulders with a just a few house bricks in front of them just to get a bit of help but then there is the gate to get round have not got up close to even work that part out yet? i might just get a dirt bike and my 100L ruck sack and do it that way drop off everything in the bush and then go back on bike to get it to the spot. i just wish i done it this year, but looking at the way the weather has been i don't think it will be any good:mad:

i love motivating my self looking at big grows makes me want to get out and do something now! id love to pull off a mother of all grows :D my problem would be where to dry it all  id be happy with 30lbs i think the only chance id have is with lowryder and plant 1000s of them aim for 3 grams per plant anymore will be a bonus. i could start preparing the ground now and if i get enough seeds from the 50 i have now 20,000 should not be to much work if i can get the seeds?? i just wish i lived some ware that could guarantee that all the work involved would pay off!

iv grown EQ before indoors and it was the best shit iv have ever grown if this shit can Finnish off outdoors that would be it for me, id be living in the hills- beverly hills :D

Nut - There is still time, but every day that goes by makes it that much more work per/lb. I am going to put out a couple of would be-mothers (Orange D, Spice, Shit, SSH), and 6 superspice clones before I'm done. I don't have the setup to force any before hand, but they should trigger a lil early going from 20/4. My light/dark is ~16.5/7.5 July 1 and ~14.5/9.5 Aug 1, so I figgure on just going from veg to the ground, no deck, no dark ~ July 20

If you have big 18" plants available or a strain that clones QUICK, you can still do damage. Get as much as you can out. It takes a lot of prep to make a 20 plant site, but digging 2-3 deep holes, and chucking some plants in is easy and low profile. I have about 1/2 of my weight in 'clone plots', and 1/2 in established plants.

It MAY be possible to dry outdoors where you are @, my buddy is trying to dry 30-50 in the bush. I have 12-15 in the ground, and am looking at hanging 50-80% of that in my flower room. I am going to shut down for the most part this fall to clean, dry, trim, and turn to sweet hashy goodness.

i know what your saying barletta*bow* i just gave 40 clones of fast finishing skunk away after planting a mother out that the clones came off and seen what the weather done to a 2 foot tall hard solid mother bush i just did not want to bother with the clones and gave them away :(

i could try a few lowryder out, but i want to make sure i have enough seed for next year and do not want to risk the weather. i shit you knot m8 i just saw a car floating down the street...... its that fucking bad! ever heard of the song " why does it always rain on me?" that song was about me! LOL every time i walk out the house it rains or the police or someone or something is going to fuck my day up guaranteed  2 days sun we have had in 3 fucking years!!!!!!! LOL

Yeah, that sucks about the rain, I am blessed with a great location. Goes a lil dry late summer, deer are all over, and every once and a while we get early/late HARD frosts. Pretty much predictable, though.

I had a dream to make 2-3000 lowryder seeds, and ride the county bus in may/june, flinging them EVERYWHERE!!

I am hoping that these EQ's are respectable come October. They should go in the ground by August 1, so females should be 2-3oz (seedplant guestimate). I would be thrilled to find fast male and female plants.

no forests here but the weather is shit

been very wet whitch means lots of slugs

slimey bastards munched a cronic cuttin i was going to do outside i had just started hardeng it off it had spent two nights out and was looking good when they come at at with mini chainsaws bastards

Slugs suck here too. I had to resort to the pellets for my $$$ $pots. I went and visited 2 Aurora B's today, and was so happy to see that the diotomaceous earth got a few slugs. They took a bite, but I almost got wiped out on my early season plants. (hence those nasty pellets)

EDIT - 3 sprouts have broken through the dirt. I have 9 in the dirt total, I smashed 1 trying to 'crack' it. 2 of the 3 got the saliva-toothpick method of helping the seed shell and membrane off.

good news ;) i leave the shell on them until they fall off i will remove them if they are hanging on by a string, but dont like to mess with them when young as you found out does not take a lot to kill them better to leave them a day or so then take them off with your fingers.

good going look forward to seeing the grow in progress ;)

Yeah, it is a toss up either way. Sometimes I kill them removing the membrane, sometimes they 'fuse' together and cook. I saved a ssh like that, and the first 4 nodes or so only have growth on the 1 side, I'll get a pic in my other thread. That thread needs some freaky ssh action. :p :D :p

This place just can't keep an EQ diary......

I think I have 6 sprouts. I have 5 above dirt, 1 bout to break through, 2 uncracked/dead looking seeds, and 2 that 'disappeared'.

I will be putting this diary on hold until:

1. Homeboy doesn't seem like he wants to put the time into these.
2. I get cuts.
3. I start cracking the rest of my EQ seeds.......

Until then, check out the 'down below' thread for such exciting things as: Mandala vs. DNA, "In search of lemons", and of course out door action!

Well harvest day is soon, so I figgured I'd give ya some pix from the way. I ended up with 2 EQ seedlings (and I have 2 more going now), 1 female. She was ~10days in the starter tray, then into a 4x4 soil square. Flipped in the 4x4 after ~4wks above ground. Transplanted into a 2gal soil/coco mix when she showed. Fed dry organics, and a few 'bottle' feeds. Nothing for the last ~30 days. She is 66days after first flower 2moro. Killer lemon/cheese-funk/skunk smell, nice heavy cola.

The rest are from the last few days. I could have taken her @ 55days, but I want the cola to turn red, and the fans to turn purple...
