FINAL SUMMARY REPORT FOR EARLY QUEEN: Feb 5- July 17
Heritage: Early Queen
Category: The Naturals - Old school genetics
Family Breed: Early Californian blends with a touch of Mexican, Early Pearl x Early Girl x Super Skunk
# IN THE RUN: 12 soaked, 11
, but these weren’t affected by hot soil, and wound up with 6 females.
GROW MEDIUM: Organic recycled soil, Coast of Maine Stonington blend, Raised bed mix,
compost,
castings and
bonemeal.
SOAK/SEEDLING/VEG TIME: 84 days
FLOWERING TIME: 56-68 days
LIGHTING: 480w SF SE5000
POT SIZE: 32 oz cups to 1.5g pot to 5-gallon fabric pots
CHARACTERISTICS: Great consistent Indica
structure and buds, with varying aromas that center around a tropical undertone. THIS IS ANOTHER MNS PLANT THAT I WISH MY SMELLOLOGY DESCRIPTIONS WERE MUCH BETTER. Some really complexed aromas when taking in a big whiff of inside the big mason jars. Some plants showed purple stems. Nice structures shown, growing to 3-4’. Hindsight 20/20, I would not have harvested the 1st plant at 58 days. I would have waited longer. Low yield and it seems premature.
SMOKE REPORT: 6 plants, so let’s get at it.
#1-Harvested 7/5 @58 days. Smells and smokes rather earthy, even grassy, though almost 45 days since harvest. BUT, it does give a nice head high. Still on planet earth.
#2-Harvested 7/13 @66 days. Smells fruity, citrus, though not pungent. Buds are solid, with a lit’le fluff to the squeeze. Smoke is complexed, YUMMMM. Starts rather neutral, and then it took off. Took my tastebuds thru “The Dream Scene” of The Big Lebowski. All over the spectrum & back. Nice. Off to the moon.
#3-Harvested 7/14 @67 days. Similar fruity, citrus aroma. Buds are solid, compact are hard. Smoke stayed rather neutral, though has a nice aftertaste.
OK, reached Ground Control to Major Tom
, so TIME FOR A COFFEE BREAK…..
Talk amongst yourselves……
Only 10 minutes for some strong coffee w/hazelnut, so let’s keep smoking…
#4-Harvested 7/15 @68 days. Soft, fruity, tropical, not as citrusy. Buds are solid, compact and hard. Smoke is smooth, soft to the palate, and nice tasting. TIME TO THROW SOME FRESH H20 & CRUSHED ICE TO THE GLASS APPARATICE…
#5-Harvested 7/16 @ 69 days. More pungent, different than others. Deeper fruity, not citrus, closer to berries. Buds more fluffy and crunchy. Smoke is Very smooth, tropical, finishing a bit earthy/skunky.
#6-Harvested 7/18 @ 71 days. WOW. Strong(nice), pungent, berry/skunk like aromas. Smoke is smooth and developing.
I’m still standing, though wobbly/dancing and swaying to the music…
YIELD: I break my down into Top Shelf, Mid Shelf & Edible/Tincture/Salve Popcorn size buds
.
But since there are 6 plants, I kept Top & Mid shelf in separate 64 oz Mason Jars.
#1-Only 18g. Told ya it was too soon.
#2-56g
#3-47g
#4-70g
#5-47g: FOUND SEEDS AND LOTS. EITHER SELFIED, OR, MORE LIKELY, CAME FROM THE NANNERS THROWN BY #6.
#6-72g: . Solid, large, oblonged buds. Found lots of nanners when trimming and have collected 150-200 seeds between #5 & 6.
Edibles: 73g
So, under the above growing conditions with a 9-week flower, you can expect about 2z’s of good bud + about .5z of edibles size popcorn buds.
TIDBITS: Didn’t need extra nutrients, other than some fishbone meal ½ way into flowering.
MyDx TESTING: I took samples from the 6 bud test leftovers.
1st sample tested 17.67% THC;
2nd sample tested 18.78% THC.
3rd sample tested 20.18% THC.
Take out the low & high & I think these #’s are close, as I just did 6 bong hits in an hour, so…
SUMMARY: Sure, I spent 5+ months due to 8 week veg, followed by 9-week flower in 5 gallon pots under good lighting yielded a good yield of varied stinky buds, that at 30 days cured are developing nicely.
SKUNKLE LENNY RATING:
OUT OF 5 FOR EASE OF GROW, STRUCTURE, CONSISTENCY, YIELD AND EARLY RESULTS.
