Thanks for droppin L33t. I am in week 7 (~45days) for my spice clone, and just finished 6 full wks with the re-veg seedplant. This plant is DELICIOUS. I have another ~2/3wks, and I have a cut of this spice, and a cut of the 'black' spice in a side by side ~2wks. I will get some pix and start a thread for that.

The clone should yield ~ an oz from a 3.4l pot of my coco mix. Tough to tell, the buds are tight but not dense, if that makes sense. She is starting to go purple, and if she is anything like the seedplant, it won't be just the fans. Right now, the big calyxes at the nodes are tiger striped, I'll get a pic of that 2moro. I will be getting another pack or 2 of these in the future. I ended up with 2 females out of a pack, and a male that I couldn't keep/use. I will be pollinating both cuts of spice with any males (ssh, ogk x g13/hz, EQ) that comes along. Keep a look out for Spice vs. Spice.

Well that was a downer of a read, lol. Out he/she goes. I didn't think virus, because it has been like that from day 1, and it was about a week after the other 2 breaking dirt. Now that I think of it, it probably is a problem. The stem is super stiff, and it doesn't want to branch (part of the reason that I wanted to make seeds with it). Lets hope clyde is a male.

Thank you for the info man. What do you mean tiger striped calyxes? Do you refer to color variation ?
Or do you refer to the arrangement of the trichomes on the calyx, if you mean that ive seen this on many different variaties including landrace strains ,some MH phenos showed that evidently. It was like the calyx is not fully/entirely covered in trichomes but more like stripy patches of trichomes along the calyx's height/length.This was clearly seen in mid flowering cause close to harvest these calyxes were totally covered in resin like with all other phenos.

No, the stripes are purple. The resin coverage is RIGHT on this plant. Almost as frosty @ 6 wks as the cannaloupe, way nicer smell. Deffo an exotic plant. I will try to get some good pix 2moro. I will know her very well by the end of the outdoor season. I'm hoping her FUNK isn't a problem this fall......

Beautiful Shit. The pic doesn't do her justice. ~4' tall with 5-6 nice big arms.

The dreamtime that I flowered april/may. I may have cut floating through, but I'm not sure. I will take 2 cuts before the summer is over. She is HEALTHY. Slugs didn't love her like the shits and spices. She likes the sun, nics leaf structure coming out.

The Heart of Farms' South. Can you see both patches (the twinz, fat joe and big pun)? As of today, full sun from ~8:00am till ~ 5:30 pm. I will need to start running water if we don't get rain this week, but we has a few soaker days a few wks ago that have held me over.

I am amazed that there is no damage to these spots. I will have some serious breakin and stakin in a few weeks. If I just let them grow together like that, it would be a waste of plants, as 2-3 per patch would be just as productive naturally. I will start with the back plants, and work my way forward. LOL better to put out too many, than not enough.

The plants are all wet cause I hit them with the slug/deer stopper.

Spice. Clone that I tied in a knot for kicks about 2 months ago. I bet by harvest, it won't even look like a knot.

Yeah, God tightened up the grow room today lol. It is PERFECT here. 60deg @4am 70deg@9am 80deg@3pm. Was cloudy and humid on and off for the last few days, cold front came through yesterday (rain missed me ) and today is perfect. Bone dry, not a cloud to be seen, a lil on the cool side, and a nice breeze. I wish that I could spend all day at the spot, but it is pretty guerilla. Right bet. a major artery (road), and a condo/resort complex. Someone would have to go looking for my spots, but if they heard/saw me, that is the only reason to be in there....

Next time that I go, I'll get cuts of the 2 dreamtimes and 2 aroura b's. I may also get a cut of the supershit. We'll see if I can get a ride.....

I'll be headed up the hill later, so check back for some MONSTER (I hope) Spice.



EDIT - I'm not going out there today. I am quitting smoking (end of day 3), and I am pretty sure that if I walk past the deli, I will buy a pack of butts. I have smoked a few blunts, and the first day I rolled a few cigs outta the ashtray, so not tobacco free. I am ready to quit however. I wanna quit worse than I want a cig, so... but I still can't walk past the deli cravin one like this.. I know that I can't just smoke a few, either. The pack would be gone by noon 2moro. Probably (hopefully) will feel ok to go 2moro/the next day. Pray for a nice overnight soaker for me, and I may not have to go period.

I quit in 06 for the second time. I quit first time for 18 years. You'll be glad you quit smoking cigs. Smoke weed. Cheaper by far for a grower and better for ya LOLOLOL!

Hey thanks for the um he he support..hehe. LOL At least today the cravings turn off once in a while. The first 2 days were a constant craving, and forget about when I smoked the last of the butts... "You mean there's NO MORE....." I'll be ok though. I got about a half of the piffy piffy SSH fer my head, and at least 12 of these blunt papers. I don't normally like blunts, but smoking the pif in a blunt INSTANTLY takes me back to 18ish. Who doesn't want to be 18 in NYC on a summer evening??? With pif??? Plus, I think the lil tobacco eases my cravings.

Plus, a Dutch Master Corona DeLuxe filled with a decent amount of good bud is a nice smoke. Any cigar with a decent, more importantly FRESH leaf wrapper will be ok if you have nuggets.

The re-vegg's didn't go as planned, and I am calling it a loss. I have 2 females that just showed, and I have a solid mother of the piffy iffy. HHHmmmmm Going to start calling SSH #1 'the iffy'. Very close to the piffy. I still have 3 f1's and ~100 f2's. I took 3 cuts of each of the 2 new girls (#'s 4 & 5). I think that the og kush x g13/h is a male, so he will be hitting: "Tha iffy", Both Spices, both new ssh's, shit, the superspice cut that I have, the 2 outdoor aurora b's (aurora around the corna), AND I will be keeping a cut of him.....

I don't think that I'll be running any EQ for a while, so I need something to play around with. The male side of Martian Mean Green is (reportedly/allegedly/supposedly, lol) g13/haze, and I have that ogk x g13/hz male to play with now...

I am not a fan of DNA. I am kind of a hater. The plants rock, let's get that out of the way. Not SSH, or what this Spice looks to be shaping up to be, but...
Sweet Haze is tasty, strong, reasonably quick haze.
Cannaloupe is a worked c-99 (even though they won't admit it)
La conf is most likely bubba K x afghan
MMG, D-line, and a few others supposedly have the g13/haze as a daddy

I have grown a few of their crosses, and they were killer. The guys themselves are a joke. Next subject.

I have 6 MMG seeds courtesy of a buddy of mine. At $10/seed, they might as well be SSH/mango haze. I also have 5 Kalichakra from Mandala. At $2.30/seed, I will be happy if they don't herm. I have run a few of each of these seeds before. I have gotten 1 female MMG, and 1 female KaliC. The MMG was BORING, great look to the buds/plants though, and the KaliC was sexy, but light and hermed a lil @ wk 9ish (needed another wk or 2). I am interested in making the cross with as many mmg females as possible.

I am looking for 5 seedlings of each minimum. Any deaths will be replaced by Pakalolo or SSH f2, I haven't decided yet. I am thinking positive so far. The mandala seeds have been refrigerated since I got them in oct/nov. The DNA seeds have been refrigerated since I got them a year ago, but I have no idea how they were stored before I got them. They are from late 2005.

Reminds of when I was a kid in the 50's and 60's. Sometimes I got to go with my uncle and a friend of his to Ybor City, part of Tampa Florida at the time. There was a section of town where many of the cigar makers had their shops. The smell of all that fresh tobacco was INCREDIBLE. I remember them paying $1.00-$3.00 per cigar, which was a lot of money in those days. Cigs were 25 cents/pack and cigars like "Optimos" were like 25 cents each.

The smell of fresh tobacco is really nice even though I don't smoke now. I lived in a mid Atlantic coast state for years, in the heart of tobacco country. Properly dried and cured tobacco is wondeful smelling stuff....sorta like weed in that respect

SF, I haven't found any quality cigars with a thin enough leaf to be worthwhile to roll. I would need 3-4g minimum to roll a 4-5" cohiba. The leaves are thicker, so the blunt has to be proportionally thicker. That is the problem with a backwoods. Nice outer leaf, but THICK. Great for party or swag blunts (5g+). Dutches and a few others (garcia Vegas, anthony y cleopatras, etc..) have nice outer leaves, and the inner paper isn't too nasty. Dutches are the prefferred means, because they are fresh most of the time due to the turnover. Plus, your dutch, you roll, you start the blunt, and take your sweet ass time with it... I also get these "Golden Wraps". ~$2 for a 20 pack at the tobacco shop, the chocolate and cognac flavors are not obnoxious. SCREW those single 'wraps' EXPENSIVE, and taste/roll like shit.

Skunky-skunky is DELICIOUS in a philly or white owl for some reason (very cheap cigars, no 'leaf')

It's some sort of contaminant. I have to be a lil stealth in the setup to take the dry shots, and I guess that the bud picked something up between my palm, the deck, and the deck chair. I didn't notice it until I took the pic, then I was checking like a freak lol. It kind of flaked off, and reminded me of wax, or something wet that dried. I couldn't find any others, any I looked VERY hard, as the pictured bud was 1 of the 3 plants that got moved outside.
