The same thing is present in the 'tweener' superspice (no cuts). That is the (IMHO,& IME) real pif legend. That 'is it early, or just THAT vegetabley?' taste on the exhale, followed by 'that' smell. LOL, now I just have to gfind something that looks and smells like pif BEFORE you smoke it...

I don't have enough posts for pm's.

I'm making some 'everclear wash' oil, and it's taking ALL NIGHT for the alcohol to evap. I ran prolly ~20g of bone dry, lightly molded FIRE. I took pix along the way, but I wanna post em all at once. I also 'reduced' my bubble water down to ~3oz of water and trichs. It was the water after a 73 micron screen from 3 small bubble runs (~1.5 oz total). I smoked a lil before, and it was HORRIBLE. It was still wet, though... Once I have my 'plate' freed up, I'll make oil with those trichs too.:D

Hey if I can't scrape it, I may as well smoke it ------> just FUKKED up my tolerance...:D
 
Ive been looking into how to make my own hash lately, and have checked out a few different options. Any suggestions?
 
google - payload bags.

4bag set for 135, I think the 9 bag was under 250. Individual bags for ~50.

Here is my exp with making hash (I try a lot of things. Although I do have the capacity to do something over and over until I get it right, I rarely practice the patience)
BHO - Made with brick and a homemade pvc tube (B@MB) gave me a few shavings of KILLER oil when I was 18.
Bubble (ice) - Best quality/taste/consistency of any hash I've made.
Scissor - Scissor from dry AND semi-dry buds is DELICIOUS, but not overpowering.
Kif/dry - Had enough 'dirty kif' at the bottom of my trim bucket to fill ~1"x3" baggie. I 'brushed' it clean with the flap from a pack of papers for ~30 min, then just 'finger pressed' it. Tasty, needs to cure. Nice flaky texture.
Oil - I did 1 everclear wash prior to this, with OLD moldy buds (left them outside in the shed in a box for ~4 mo. Found em and decided to try washing them). The resulting oil is CRAZY strong, but tasted like ass for ~a month. Like hash and mold. Now it is pretty tasty, but not smooth by any means. The buds that I used for this wash are stronger, and less moldy.
'Reduction' - So far that has is bullshit, but I'ma let some dry for a few days, and make oil with the trics that I 'collected'. I bet that oil is the JAM final product.

I mixed another 'cleaned kif pile' with equal parts bubble, and that is a tasty chunk.

I'd do the BHO again, but I don't like the idea of the 'butane bomb'.

Payload bags is my suggestion.:D
 
J - I know that bubblebag is an established co, and bubbleman (the owner) is over @ icmag (some sick hash in the resin/hash section.) all the time. I found the payload bags, and I've read user reviews that they are very well made, and work like they should. The bubblebag 4 bag-5gallon is $175 (dunno if they include shipping). The payload bags are 135 and they ship for free. I could only find one place that sells em (looks like 1 dude's w.s., and he's just drop shipping any of the 4-5 items he sells) online, but it was the 2nd or 3rd google result. The last time I looked (last winter), I couldn't find ANY bags for under 200/set of 4 or more. It is a toss up I suppose for $50.

Hey I wanted to add something here...

Bubble bags do not deal with mold. The mold ends up in the hash, and while I didn't notice any ill health effects, the 1 time that I bubbled moldy trim/buds, the hash came out like shit, and it felt like a waste (even with just the 2 ice-o-lator bags, the bubble hash is consistently pretty good) of the 'good' trim that was in there. The oil that I made the last time was from VERY moldy buds, and only 'hinted' of mold. That may have even been the 5% water that may have not evaporated yet. Once it was in the jar for ~a wk, no more mold smell.

I feel like a iso/everclear wash is the only acceptable (maybe bho) was for me to 'process' moldy buds. Otherwise they are stratght trash - no food, no bubble...

Smokin on some MMG, and it is GOOD bud, but I had to go through 5 females to find a good one. I bet I could have better success just running seeds from good mex. Mex seeds aren't $10/per.;)

Hey, I just figgured out how to use the quick reply which saves me a few page loads :)

I learned a lil more today...
If you have a decent volume of fluid to use on an oil wash, look for 99% something. The everclear is 95%, and the 5% water is taking forever to dry off properly. I'm thinking that it will be a few days with the plate on the cable box SHOULD do it. I pulled the remaining moisture off (after letting the dish sit ~12hrs @55-65 deg) with a papertowel. I did mix some with bubble, and it is lethal stuff. Where am I? Who are you, Why did you come here??? LOL, got me losin the cam and shit...

3:20 is the new 4:20
 
Got homemade pizza and baked ziti w/chorizo? I love those people. I MAY get to watch their dog (I love her too) if they take a vaca to the homeland. Although, I dunno what I'll eat that week...

I made a bunch of oil, and I'ma start a thread once I get the pix re-sized/uploaded. Here is what's left of the bubble after 3 runs (under the 73). I reduced the bubble down to ~1 gallon by letyting it settle, and pouring off the 'water'. Then I poured the gallon into 3 sauce jars, and 3 pint glasses. I kept letting the trichs settle and ppouring off the water. I ended up rinsint this with everclear and adding it to the 'oil plate'.

Thanks, Ed. The dog is fine, like nothing ever happened. That's what I was expecting, but it's tough to SEE em like that. Those seedlings are a lil fukked, cause I let my veg setup slide a lil, and they were JAMMED in there. It is an official SEA of green down below...

No confirmed sex on the 'mergencies yet, but I'm eyeballin 2 suspected males, and the tri-foliate is startin to whisper 'female' :D Gonna make a run to Lowes for some stuff 2nite. Prolly can kiss those boxes good bye 2moro. Until I make another flower room anyway...

Here is the bud that I broke off of the Pakalolo #1. It should be dry enough to smoke in a few days. That is a great strain, the plants are very consistient, and the 2 I have now are starting to finish. Prolly ~2wks for #1 (11 total), and 3/4 for #2 (~13 total).
