trimming has got to be the worst job in the world I forgot to pick up my fishing chair off my m8 and sat on a bag of compost = dead arse and legs and a broken back:( I could not stand up my legs felt like balloons if there was a fire i would have been fucked. the thought of trimming makes me feel like crying i hate it you are more likely to have the door put in because of the smell in the house and on your clothes. make sure you put a pair of surgical gloves and a pair of overhauls on so when you leave the trimming room take them off so you dont walk the smell round the house and if there is an emergency it is not going to take as long to get rid of the smell about you.

Yo good call on the smell. I keep a bucket of ONA crystals outside the 'trim spot', and if I have to 'check' (doggie alarm system), I dip my hands in, and fling that shit all over. Rub the hands together, lil wipage on the butt/shoulders.. Checks the socks for fanleaves or buds.

I literally 'dispose' of my vacuum cleaner bags as if they were fans/hash trim. Commercial dumpster with the 'auto' trash. Coffee/soda cups, cans, wrappers, napkins, trans fluid bottles, etc...

I also set out a few dishes with a capfull of pinesol, and 3-4 capfulls of water around the house. I put one in each room with a circular fan, and one downwind of the house.

I'm also trying to set up 2 'lawn mows' at the strategic times. A freshly mowed lawn is UNBEATABLE for odor control, imo. I put buds in the backyard to dry after I mow the lawn. On the hotter days, the compost pile will do the same thing, but summer is over.

good tips barletta ;) i thought of the lawn mower to hide the smell out side its only good for 6 months of the year, across the road are doing the last cut of the year as i type this:cool: although it works perfect at covering the smell you still 6 months without cutting the grass.

what i do is stick the tumble dryer on with the washed clothes 2 loads a day most days throw some fresheners in and thats very good at covering the smell also I am pushing my luck iv been here 10 years and never used a carbon filter:eek: *crazy* i keep saying next grow, next grow, but never been arsed to get one.:o

Yo that IS crazy. Get 1 dude. I do all the above, AND I work in the grow room with the big ass carbon filter. I trimmed last year in a room that held ~ 5lb for over a month, no ventilation. Just a dehumidifier 24/7 and an AC from 2-4AM while we trimmed. STUNK!!!

Just drop the 400 on a fan/filter. I know that the situation over there is a lil diff, but you still need 1. I was gonna set up a dry box with an odor sock. I have a spare 4" fan, and a 4" odor sock would do the trick for a few wks... They are a VERY temporary fix, however. Works GREAT for 3-4 wks, then put in the dryer, works GREAT for 2-3 days, then you are beat. I haven't had a single whiff with my filter running since early April.

I need to change my grow room around I'm paranoid as fuck these days:confused: i keep hearing helicopters flying over the house LOL any knock on the door im shitting bricks who is it? what do they want? they are on to me etc..

i need to make one grow room and run it in the daytime not the way i have it now one day one night although its perfect 365 days a year I cant sleep at night just in case the pigs do a fly over and see the roof glowing white hot.

I want to make one room because that will mean i can get away with one 8" extractor fan and carbon filter and use one of the 6" fans as an intake if i keep it the way it is now i will need 3 carbon filter 8-( lots of work to change it all round.

Trimmig isnt that much fun is it, depending on what brand it is a good trimmer should be able to clear 4-5 pound per every 24/hours or day&night,

and i know what you mean about those choppers flying about the propertys to, makes ya wonder eh, - I wonder if they spot roof tops in the winter time that have no snow on there roofs always, and notice how the neighbours roofs have snow on theres but not mine or even yours,

ha' not that my exaust air goes into the roof no more, im just saying is all,
Got to have a little paronoria i suppose.

Yo BAM. Trimming sucks. It's a necessary evil. I'm 90% done with the weekend, and I'll finish that up 2moro. Then the next round...

I went out to park, walk and clip today. I got a BAD vibe, and saw a bunch of cops WAAAYY close to the spot, and I almost never see cops in the area. I just kept on rollin. They see me rollin. They hatin. Patrollin - they tryin catch me ridin dirty...

So 2moro will be the 1 and only 10 miler. A real 10 mile round trip, and I broke my kicks the last walk. Gonna rock the ref shooz. Made for ref's and other non slip situations. Gotta clip, bag, HUSTLE back, then pick up in the whip. I did that at farms over the weekend, and in ~4hrs, the bag o untrimmed, fresh cut buds had water in the bottom from condensation. I got em out in time, but still... I get a lil break after 2moro's work. I'll be cracking again ~Oct 10ish (weather permitting, it looks PERFECT for the next ~10 days or so...)

Sorry for the lack of tasty updates, guys. I've been a lil pre-occupied trying to wear out these Fiskars. I should need a new 'trim' pair after the fall, and keep these fer clones n stuff. I wouldn't have thought that I could wear em out, but they have trimmed ALL of my bud for over a year now.

Sorry to hear you caught that bad vibe,!

Take some binoculars with you just incase there still casing the area out to see who walks into the plot etc, dont wear the same boots or shoes you usually wear when visiting the plot, just incase they grab you for questiong along the way, or you could politely go down and ask a local what the fruck was going on here yesterday. just a thought mate.

I am BEAT. Havin a steak, watchin the Mets, smokin a blunt (haven't decided what just yet), and goin to bed. It's funny, the extra 2 miles or so show up right at the 7-8 mile mark. My body says - 'We should be home by now..' Today's walk also added ~2-300 vertical feet in addition to the ~1000 or so feet. Not much flat ground, all up and down steep, short hills.

The Shits and Spices are in. The Shit is aptly named. I just stripped the large leaves, and my fingers smell like I was diggin in my ass and found some killer bud... The Spice is some DANK stuff. A lil more prone to mold than the Shit, and a lil lighter, but DANK! Even if I didn't have 'water week' last week, they would have been pulled/finished before October1.

I have some MangoWidow, SuperShit, SuperSpice, and Aurora B (TFD) left to take in. Next trip is to farms in 10 days. ;)

What up, BrownClown. Mets won, I rolled some SuperSilvah.

Some outdoor Spice next to some indoor Spice ~5wks. I played with the pic a bit to make it lighter.

Straight Spice.

SuperSpice (runt) 70 days. I'm smoking this cut now, and it is AWESOME. SourLime Haze smoothie. Strong too.
SuperSpice10.JPG

Shit @ 59 days. I'm taking her when she trims herself (10/11?). She is mostly cloudy right now. I pulled a cut of this outside, and it was smallish, but FUNKY.

Some EQ ~6wks. Seedplant, has a beautiful lemony skunkyness to her. Not the fastest cut, but will finish in ~2-3wks, and looks like fire. I'm dropping my last ~8EQ within the week.

Sorry for the blur...

Martian Mean Green ~5wks. Looks like an indy dom pheno. Should yield nicely, and has a similar woody/locker room smell to the cut I had last year. A lil lemon funk behind it. 1 other cut is much more sativa dom, and is creeping along. The 3rd plant is between the 2, but closer to this one. She went crazy and seeded herself, but I can't find a spot of pollen, or a sac or anything. I just put her real close to the carbon filter (exhaust), and Ima take her in a few wks. This 1 looks like a nice plant.
mmg15wks.JPG

Kalichakra (Mandala) ~5wks. MUCH more indy dom than the other female that I had. The other looked like she was mostly sativa (tall, open buds, sweet floral smell, slow development). This plant looks like mostly an indica. Thick, dark green leaves, funky, kushy smell, and she is ~18" from the top of the dirt. The other female I had went herm (prolly my fault - possible light leak in the last setup) late in flower, so I have to keep an eye on this one. So far, so good...

Last Orange D. 66 days today.

I had to take some outdoor plants a lil early due to mold, but that will let me take these to their full, wretch inducing potential. I'd like to take them to 80 days or so, but I'm running the cut out due to a lil herm action. If she lets me, this is gonna be my winterfire stash. I know that @70 days, she needs a warning label for the lightweights... :D

More to follow! (later, lol)

Here are some dried samples.

Clockwise from top left: SSH4 (seedplant, ~9wks indoor), SuperSpice (runt clone, organic coco, 70 days indoor), Shit (outdoor, cut last Sunday, 45 day cut), Spice (sour/household outdoor, cut with the Shit)

SuperSpice runt, 70 days in coco. Organic. Needed more time, but had a lil banana fit, so I chopped her. I have 2 others @75 days, and 1 @70 (none in str8 coco, though) and no bananas to be found.

SSH #4. Funkyskunky deadstuff, but the haze smell is faint. Seemed like a sk pheno, I have a monster to put in flower. Seemed VERY similar to my SSH #2 seedplant in flower, and I loved the ssh2 from clone. Lemon pepper skunkhaze in less than 60 days. I let the cut go, like an ass. I have plenty of SSH 4 to take cuts from. :D

Whatup pounder!

Some SuperSpice (unknown cut) outside ~10 days ago. They are shaping up nicely, and are my 'gauge' for the plants that are left @ Farms (SSpice, SShit, MW, Aurora B). I pulled a lil bit of mold (REAL LITTLE BIT), so I'll be headed down there in ~10 days to check.

I like these plants so much. Ima run a whole room of these in the spring/early summer. Hopefully, I can select some dank females to make a nice big F2 batch.

EDIT - Here are a few pix I took last weekend (9-14) when I chopped the Shits/Spices @ Farms. It gives a good idea of where the foliage is at when the plants finished. The wet conditions the week prior 'greened' up the foliage a bit, AND made me chop ~ a week early, but I like the pix.

Badlands. Some serious fields of pulled stumps. I'd love to camp out there on a full moon to see some predators @ work. I was with citiboy Sal, and a dog, and was REAL hesitant to cross through the stumps. It was hot, and there are some nasssssty snakes up here. Karma loves me, and I love her right back!

Thanks, L. Your avatar is killin me. You have the coolest pic on ANY page that you post on, lol.

Some of the Aurora around the Cornah. Looks better than their sisters did a week ago. Maybe the fact that they are in the partial sun (vs FULL sun over 5+ hrs @ Farms) is speeding up the bud development. These are under 4' tall, and the plants @ Farms have to be 7'+. More sun. Like I said, though, the Farms Aurora B looked like they were going to take 2+ months when I saw em 9-14.
