Dancin' with the Devils

Hey guys, recently dipped into a pack of MrN Devil. I got a pack with 16 seeds ~mid summer, and I kept em in the fridge until I opened em ~3wks ago. Counted out 16, and 2 that looked like they were 'split'. Not crushed, just split. so I dropped 6 (4 and the 2 cracked ones), and got 4 plants. I dunno if it was the split ones that didn't germ...

Here they are under the 400w MH in 4"x4" cubes of soil/cocomix. I'm going to flip after ~5 nodes or so. I'm not too experienced with indica dom's, but these sure are growing slow. Hey, that's what it says on the pack. :)

The updates will be slow until the plants sex. I plan on keeping any females to see how they run as clones, and I'm always down to use a stinky, vigorous male... Right now I'm thinking that I wanna drop the rest of the seeds when I put the first set of cuts from these plants in (~Jan/Feb). I'll keep all of the Devilish activities in here, but they are 4 lil shits...er...Dev's right now.

Sweet mate, Looking forward to hearing the up dates, and how dem plants smell also, quite a dank one ive heard,

they look ready to flower now, 2nd set of true leaves in all, or you like em big i guess.
 
Wow, cause of the interest here, I dropped 4 more Dev's. I kept 5 back aong with 3 EQ's 'just in case' for the spring, but I'll be looking for some outdoor plants out of these Dev's. We will have to see what is fast and loose from clone, but that's a ways out.

I'll end up vegging these for a while, and shaving them for clones when they show. I MAY try to keep seed plants for mom's. I'll let ya know how they germ. Right now thinking about Jan 1 to flip all of em (till they show).

Looking good friend. How are the devils comming along? I know they are relativly young here, but any smell yet? I am interested in this one. I am looking at the g13/sk next along with (not sure) but was seriously looking at this one. Then again with all the new releases my mind is changing daily. May just go with a bunch of dreamtime..Good luck with these friend...
 
Yo show :p

I only got 1 out of the 4 to germ after ~4 days. Another sprouted a tail, but just stopped growing. I planted the 1 winner in a 4x4, and the other 3 in a starter tray. Honestly it's a pain in the ass to get the lil Dev's in and out, so I haven't sniffed em. LOL, it's hard for me to smell most veggin plants (unless I DON'T want them to be smelled, then that's ALL I smell...).

Check back in a wk or so for another boring update...:rolleyes:

And the 4 you know. The big one will be a breeder unless it is a female that smokes like rope (not likely...)

The 1 seeds that popped and planted didn't make it. It came up and fused itself together. :( But I still have 4 Dev's, and 1 is a beast!!

Here are the biggun and the sprout I pulled.

I transplanted the biggun into a 2l and flipped her (hopefully) today.

Cool, thanks for stoppin by, viper :) I hope yer plants pull through! I have heard only good about the finished product, so I'm pumped. I wanna give these plants the 'spotlight', so they will be crankin through in ~ a month or so. The big plant has a nice structure to it too. Squat, but with medium length branchyness going on. Not 'pole-plant', or 'sloppy-shoot'.

I repotted the 3 that were in 20/4 today from 4x4's into 3.4l's. 2 of these were getting heavily shaded in veg. The one in the smaller 2l is the big plant from before, no sex yet. I have another lil sprout, that after mucho picture analyzation, I've ID'd as Devil, but it is looking kinda scrappy too. I'll be dropping the last 5 Dev's along with my last 3 EQ's within the month.

EDIT - The 3 smaller ones went into 12/12 today, but I don't count days till they show.

Lil update.

Confirmed fem's. The plant in the 2gal bag is ~10 days since it showed, and the one in the white 3.4l is ~3days (Dev's #2). #2 showed in ~10days, which is quicker than I've seen from any other female plant. I assumed 'male' when it started to show quick, and I stripped all of the shoots off (lollypop).

I have 1 more SHITTY looking lil sprout in veg, and the clones from #1 are TOUGH. I did some work in veg today, and while most of my clones look like SHIT, the dev's looks fine. :)

What up?

Two of the first 3 Devils I grew got HUGE. I had to break a top on one and had to raise my light way up. I got about a 2 foot cola on one of em. The other one didn't yield as well but would of been nice for SoG.

I have one in now I wish I would of cloned - it is nice, squat, and growing like a pine tree. I just finished tying up the sides since the buds are too big for some of the branches to support. I am not gonna cut N too much on this one as I am gonna try a re-veg.

All of my Devils look different and taste different. The smaller one gets me soooo stoned I feel guilty. The most unruly one had feathery buds and smells like Thai.

Shanti makes some bad ass seeds.

Devil = strong medicine.
 
Hi Ronin :) How was the holiday? Thanks fer checking in, do you have pix? LOL, If I could have 1 superpower, it would be the ability to make plants grow faster. Think about how useful that would be in comicbook land. (or real life) ;)
 
Wherever i go around here i find Barletta and new plants, lmao :D

Plants are looking beautiful, man… a picture of health. Good job!!!
 
Hi Buddha :) Thanks for the kind words. These were going into flower as I was noticing a few problems with other plants - not enough food, containers too wet, venting inside raised humidity, etc... These (females, anyway) have been treated right. I'm expecting the one in the bag (#1) to perform pretty well, and the other looks good so far too. I have cuts of #1, but I had incorrectly judged #2 to be a male, and I discarded the shoots.
