Blueberry F2 grow

The tent is vacant and going through my seed list I noticed Blueberry F2's.
The seeds are already 9-10 years in my fridge and being a fall grow it would be the best time to grow these out to see if I can get lucky and find a real blueberry smelling/ tasting one.
A friend once had a very euphoric Blueberry, can't remember from where he got it tho.
These F2's are more selected to the indica side and should finish in 7-8 weeks.




Some showed a purple stem from the beginning, even now I see a couple of plants that still have purple stems.
These pictures are from 2,5 weeks ago.
They stayed in these pots until today, they are now in the tent and I will make some pictures tomorow.

If these are any good I will buy some fem's from Shanti.

Blueberry is a real good strain, with an excellent unique and typical taste.
I find maybe she have a little lack of potency but whit a bit of luck you will find some destructives phenos.

I had The blueberry smelling one outdoor many years ago, she was kind & uplifitng plant.
Was a sure keeper in todays measures.
She had quite good tendency to keep ok in late autumn, when moist was a problem for other strains.
But we also had White Widow that worked even better, so kept Widow at that time.

I hope you find a good one.

The blueberry's are looking good today.
From 20 seeds 17 made it and from those 17 there was 1 runt that seems to pick up now.
Blueberry shows more mutants than other strains, so far I don't see this.
I did notice that they grow slower and have less vigour than the MNS strains I tried before.
They were kept longer in the small pots because I had thrips in the tent where I keep the mom's/ dad's and seedlings.
Rookie mistake on my part, I brought in clones made from outdoor plants and did gave them a preventive treatment with spinosad like I should do.
Every plant has been cut back or kept small for the past 2 weeks and got 2 times treated with spinosad (fully submerged for 30 seconds in a stronger soltion). I'm not out of the woods yet but things look ok so far.
I had a lot to do lately, learned my lesson to not skip any safety measure regarding my mother tent.

They got rainwater with 2ml/L Alga Grow.

Die Blaubeeren sehen heute gut aus.
Von 20 Samen haben es 17 geschafft, und von diesen 17 gab es einen Kümmerling, der sich jetzt aber zu erholen scheint.
Bei der Sorte Blueberry gibt es mehr Mutanten als bei anderen Sorten, bisher konnte ich das aber nicht feststellen.
Mir ist aufgefallen, dass sie langsamer wachsen und weniger kräftig sind als die MNS-Sorten, die ich zuvor ausprobiert habe.
Sie blieben länger in den kleinen Töpfen, weil ich Thripse in dem Zelt hatte, in dem ich die Mutterpflanzen und Sämlinge aufbewahre.
Ein Anfängerfehler meinerseits: Ich habe Klone von Freilandpflanzen mitgebracht und sie nicht wie üblich vorbeugend mit Spinosad behandelt.
Alle Pflanzen wurden in den letzten zwei Wochen zurückgeschnitten oder klein gehalten und zweimal mit Spinosad behandelt (30 Sekunden lang vollständig in eine stärkere Lösung eingetaucht). Ich bin noch nicht über den Berg, aber bisher sieht es ganz gut aus.
Ich hatte in letzter Zeit viel zu tun und habe daraus gelernt, dass ich in Bezug auf mein Mutterzelt keine Sicherheitsvorkehrungen vernachlässigen sollte.

Sie verwendeten Regenwasser mit 2 ml/l Alga Grow.

Jetzt wird gezüchtet und das Geschlecht bestimmt.

Genau das ist die Art von Produkt, die ich mir von diesem Anbieter immer gewünscht habe. Ich habe aber das Gefühl, du testest meine Pflanzen. Das finde ich super, so kann ich mir überlegen, ob ich sie selbst anbaue, wenn sie mir beim Testen gefallen.

Blueberry has always been on my list as well. I've still got some seeds from Dutch Passion in the fridge that I bought two or three years ago.

I'll sit back and watch, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it goes. Wishing you lots of success with your grow!

Plant are becoming greener, I did gave them a bit to much water last time.
I see some signs of overwaterering but it is stable now.
Every plant is topped in order to have 2 strong branches later on so I can make a cut from each plant and flower the other branch out.

Leds are at 40% power.
I alternate feedings with plain water for the next weeks.

I do see more and more coloured stems appearing, could be the leds or the genetics.
By the time that these are well into flowering the temperature will be a lot lower, true purps will show then.

From my experience, when the stem turns that kind of deep purple, I’d be more inclined to say it’s genetic. If it were only the leaf veins showing discoloration, then you could start speculating about some kind of deficiency.
But since all the plants are the same age, look pretty much the same, seem equally healthy, and are all showing the same characteristic, I’d put my money on genetics. Really interesting though, I’ll definitely be following this one.
Could you just tell me what size pots you’re using, in liters? And are you running something like an All-Mix, or more of a Light-Mix and then feeding by hand? If it’s an All-Mix, roughly what kind of NPK range are we talking about?

Hello Prime,

I should look to make sure but around 15L if I recall it correctly.
They do hold quite some dirt.
I always use Light Mix from Plagron and add Alga Grow/Bloom according their needs.
These pots are 20 years old by now and should be replaced, the plastic is starting to become brittle.
I will buy even slightly bigger If I can find them.

The Blueberries are taking off.
I do find the vigour in this line to be lesser, this strain is also more difficult to feed.
I noticed strange leaf curls and paler spots on the leaves.
Dimming down the led to 35% and some extra feeding + Silic Rock seems to turn the tide.

They are getting crowded, I will clean them out and make cuttings shortly.



They are certainly indica dominant, short and bushy with fat leaves.



First one to show its sex, just one big sack.



Most are starting to show too.




I will start flowering soon.

I own a Blueberry "Oregon Cut" at the Moment.

Day 1 of flowering (12/12).

I made a clone from every plant.
There was one male that I cut, he was not interesting for me to keep (smaller, very stinky and no fruity/berry smell).
After making the cuts I decided to keep the 2 top branches of every plant and discarded the rest.
These should not stretch much at all, they are very squat and wide.
Their health is improving day by day now.
I did not notice very fruity smells so far.
They got 2ml/L Alga Bloom yesterday with some Silick Rock.
The leds are at 50% now and were hung higher (50cm above canopy).
