AFHZ x AS Test Beans

Hello all,

i am back and have started the test grow finally.

6 beans were drowned. 3 are into the media and 3 are still germing after 2 days have passed. i use the paper towel with slight warmth method. if the rest do not germ, i will soak a few more.

the set up today is:

veg lamp 400w hort blue
bloom room 2 x 600w hort hps air cooled
all natural nutes
CO2
mylar

the seedlings will go into tall styrofoam cups with a 70-30- mix of coco/castings.

once they are 10- 12 days or so i will transplant into what i have found to work great so far for my grow style. i use cocotek coir bricks mixed and include hydroton and perlite with some dolomite and guano. they will be flowered in 15 ltr. square pots.
more to follow.....

thanks herb

currently using bio nova, got some wholesale. otherwise would be using an nutes.

i have thoughts of soaking 6 more to get maybe 5 more candidates for a better selection..........

we have 5 of the 6 completely sprouted now. the last seed may yet be viable.

will take a pic later or tomorrow.

the first run will be self pollinated to make some seed stock also.

more updates to follow. i usually get detailed in my reports:rolleyes:

and away we go

ok now for a bit...see yas in a few days weeks or so

small update here.

days 24 or so on the 5.
i have taken pics and will post them eventually.

the taller of them are now at 12 and 13 inches. the shortest is 8.5. i may have to flip the taller ones very soon.

cuttings are rooting and i am trying to see how long i am willing to let the 5 veg.
i have about 7 foot of head space in case they start to soar.

the plants are very healthy and vigorous. will have pics up eventually.

Looking great mate, if they are anything like the pheno I am flowering they will soar!! One of mine is easily 6 foot plus and thats with twists and bends in the stem in an attempt to keep her lower.

the most glaring thing so far, are the characteristics of this number 4 here.......

STA70803_50_.JPG

the toothy jaggedy edges............ this one has it the most. also number 5 has some of this trait.
the teeth are huge are spaced out as opposed to the others which are more crowded.
overall number 4 is simply beautiful and unusual to me. very different......

here is a list of the additives to the media that i am currently using.

nutri nova a/b
pk 13-14
superthrive
hygrozyme
cal-mag
blackstrap
chi
organic b
guano
dolomite

just might flip them this evening......

Looking nice and healthy CI, i agree - the leaf traits on this strain are beautiful  , almost like the G13, when i grew it i wasn't sure how long to veg them for either so i asked Shanti, mentioned not to veg them any longer than maybe 3 weeks as they can get big, i was already close to 4 week stage at this point so i flipped them to 12/12, will you be growing them straight without topping? (this is what i done), if you are then i'd say bend the top over around the 21 day flower mark (bamboo cane in soil attatched with string) to open up the plant structure, the yeild will be unbelievable man, peace, Herb

heyas herb,
aye i will be not topping them and thanks about the bend trick at 21 days.
i have alot of headroom all about the place, 7 foot easy or 2.1336 meters ehe.

yep the leaf edges on number 4 made think of the G. the form of number 4 is outstanding. usually these are special, but we have to wait a few months to find out.

anyway i posted here to say i did just put them in the bloomer.
we'll see the s t r e t c h soon

CI, Hi! How many phenos are there? I have some of those, and yours look great! Is there one particular pheno to have with these? Does anyone know the answer? Yes I am Happy, Happy. resinbud

Hi Resinbud,
look out for this pheno man, in veg/early flowering it looked pretty similar to the plant on the left hand side in Scorpion's pic, it was a really heavy feeder as well, peace, Herb
