b_h,

I hope that you did not wrote that in your HT article without a reference...

That would be a shame for a trained journalist like you...

Peace.

nice to see dust arising from the far lol

well ppl, dna info cant be lost, and the one who read carefully, understood me

others crying about hemp, also funny :)

i dont care if somebody believs in those words or not, i dont need to gain anything, now i will see more ppl crying like babys when i say i saw even bigger plants, that i didnt grow .. larger than 10 meters, but again who i am, and what do i know, nothing, right ;)

its a mater of definition what does tall mean to somebody, to me is tall 6 meters and more, to somebody is everything thats larger than 150cm tall ..

btw trust me, i know how to judge hight, played bball my whole life long, and i can positivly say if a plant is the double hight of the rim, u know ;)

its really shameful to say if i dont see it, its not possible, well we breath air, tho we dont see it ...

greetz

Nice to have your input Sam, hehe

Everything in the article was referenced, that info about the breeding wasn't included in the published version of the article but it was in the longer 15000 word version that I was still working on when my hard drive died and I lost it.

It's just a case of me remembering where I read it.

I knew it was RCC that wrote about it, that version of Origin Of The Species I quoted earlier is an abridged version it seems as I found a quote from a longer version:

The Original Haze is a late-maturing variety from Central California and was almost always grown in greenhouses, allowing it to finish in December or January. Original Haze was always connoisseur stash, and even in the 1970s it sold for as much as $200 an ounce. Original Haze is a pure sativa stabilized hybrid arising from crossing all of the best females with a male of a different imported sativa variety each year. Starting with Colombian/ Mexican hybrids grown from seeds from the first crop, a South Indian male plant was used as a pollen source the second year, and a Thai male plant was used the third year. Depending on which year Haze seeds were collected, they resembled either Colombian, South Indian, or Thai plants. Original Haze varies in taste from citrus Thai notes through the gamut of sativa highlights to the deep spicy purple Colombian flavor most common in Dutch Haze cultivars.

Sam's comment on the RCC story (posted over Icmag):

RCC had it right except for OHaze had many males used, over many years, Colombian, Mex gold, O Haze, some Thai, a little S Indian.

here is a post from Sam that is from the Cannabis World site days:
"All of the S Indian and Thai crosses were toward the end of Haze production. Not only males were used for crosses. The 3 year timeline was just someones dream , Haze was grown for over 10years by the haze bros , Sacred seeds tried to stabilize Haze with mixed results. The quality dropped considerably. The problem is that the best Hazes were F1s Hybrids , and Haze stabilization can not be done without a loss of vigor.
Also I never chose males for hybrids, you do not know how good they are or their ability to contribute to a new hybrid. I use haze females , and I do have a few Haze males that I selected from hundreds of males , after testing their progeny first. But it is a lot of work and beyond most closet breeders. The progenys growouts involved thousands of plants. Just to determine the best haze male to use for Hybrids

I'm not having much luck.

Seems icmag have blocked google searches as google won't pull up search results from icmag anymore.

if you try googling 'haze site:icmag.com' it gives zero results, it used to work.

I think the info I read must have been on icmag, posted by Sam. I've been banned there for months so I can't look now google doesn't work to search icmag.

Whatever the case, what I read was from either Sam or RCC.

Why do you feel the need to lie to the members here ? only last month you were posting as funkymonky at icmag

One more time:

I do not see anything relating to the timeline you mentioned...

You wrote Clarke "said the first Haze was grown in 71 and that was the initial Mexican/Colombian, they added South Indian and Thai over the next two seasons so the earliest Haze existed was the end of the 73 season".

Where do you read the Haze was made from 1971 to 73 ?

Peace.

Thanks BigHerb

My Son saw that. There is a seed in there.

I harvested pollen from 6 plants today and disposed of them. 3 plants still forming pods. We went through the plants smelling all the buds. Some wild hazes in there.

One of the Mauis and the Royal Haze are full on rope smelling spicey wonderfulness.:D I see tons of nice seeds. 30 crosses so far. Ill do a bunch more tomorrow.

Inspiring...

Very inspiring Dr. P, i am in envy, someday, somehow i would like to do something similar:D

If you dont mind me asking, what is a good ceiling height for a sativa grow? I have 10' walls in my garage and am pondering on a sativa room out there.

Peace

Lotta Sativa in this bud

I have seed from this plant crossed with Mango Haze, Nevilles Haze, and Mexican Oaxacan

A guy just stopped by and took a bong hit of this. He says :Fuck! That tastes just like Lemons, I got stoned too!"

My Son stopped By. He has his own house. He spent an hour looking at all the plants. He put in his Dibbs on certain clones of the Sativa/Haze bunch.

He kept looking at the purple blush Headband I grew. He grew the same clone, but Many of My plants blushed more purple.

:D I think it was the clam shells in the water I used on them. There was about 20 pounds of them in the barrel. I dumped it out today.

Those are Hi def pics , so get in there with the close up magnifyer and have a look if You like. It looks pretty good. You can see the lime green bud too.

Both Guys that came over today offered services as cleaners. Its real easy bud to clean, and the hash is Heavenly.

Doc Purp , your buds look heavenly mate . Kudos .................

Thanks Brother. Thats very kind of You.

I got a bunch of work done the last couple days. All Plants and crosses are documented. All branches tagged. As of today, on this run, Ive completed 54 crosses. I see many seeds from the last pollenation. There will be 3 more very late males to pollenate from soon. Ran out of a couple types of pollen today.

Assorted seeds

My Older Son dropped off some seeds collected by an old Hippie in Humboldt over the years. He only kept seeds from the best smoke. He dug out a handful and handed them to My Son, and said " give these to your Dad, He will find something in here".
Theres all colors and sizes of seeds. Some are cracked, but most of them look good. The small black seeds caught My eye. Those must be a Red Weed. Something real old school.
