'Bout time you put some picas up, looking good there mate, bit of dolomite or gypsum I see. Been a shitty season all round for east coast outdoor growers, but hopefully we'll get some dry spells.:)

yes it was time to throw a bit of dolly around , soaks in well this time of year ,
i hadnt fed them at all since planting till a week ago ,
they responded pretty quickly .

Im thinking theres going to be quite a shortage along the east coast this year bushy , lets hope the la nina finishes at the end of march and we go back to the dry times ..

I havent grown a full sativa patch in a while ,
so im loving the skinny frames im watching in the feild ..
its great how it allows the sun and air to fully penetrate the plants ,
these ladies were built for handling rain and lot s of it ..

hey

Dm,

Sorry mate I said i'd check them out before I left, but had to go. i just got here to look. They are definatly not looking airy. just beautiful basking in the sun. Keep on, and I almsot can't wait to see what the end product looks like. Nice job brother...Ns

hi noshow , nice to see you here .
Im pretty happy with how they are coming along , and yes that they are getting quite a lot of sun even given the wet year we are having ..

I cant wait to see the finished product also ,,
as i mentioned this is a cross of 2 local sativas ,,
ive only grown one of those varieties before .

ive started saving cuttings from the plants i like the look of ,
if the final product fits the right criteria i can go back to the saved clones for some further study .
its not easy in the jungle ,, but its doable .

just starting to flower ,,
female pistils forming along the laterals and beginning to bunch at the tops moreso ,
few weeks should be quite visible buds ..

these shots are a month apart ...

good idea mate

DM,

Good idea to take cuttings. You know you can always keep them for breeding purpouses if they are worthy. Looking really nice, and green though. I hope we go med here. Vote is very soon, and if so. I will love to have a few ladies outdoors. Then we can see what the mbs will do in my area. I feel they will have plenty of time to mature properly were I live. There are times I can definatly go into Nov with them. Be well...Ns

Hi DM

Sunny Morning , we wish mate. if the temp gets above 20C in summer we get ladies on the beach in bikinis. love to grow in the tropics but not to sure i could get used to the insects and spiders . that lovely red soil in your plot looks much lighter than the dark , peaty mud over here. do you need to do much prep before planting? our climate is cold and wet. great for potatoes , not so good for finishing our favourite herb.

all the best

hi noshow ,,
best of luck with the vote , hope it turns out the way your hoping ..

nothing like growing a garden without restrictions , look foward to seeing it ..

hi justagrower ,
brrr sounds like a cold place you hail from ...
i think the bugs in the tropics keeps a lot of folks from venturing there ,
i get bitten a lot , mostly small flies with the nastiest sting ,, dang they hurt .

on the soil , when its wet its a deep maron colour and goes a bit more orangy when its really dry ,
i always add lots of chicken manure , as much as i can ,
and from the second week of growth , i liquid fertalise weekly ,
each plant hole gets a large double handful of perlite and pelletised chicken manure with additives , down the bottom of the hole ,
and a generous handful or two around the plants as they grow .

Very nice growth for a month mate, always nice to see what plants can do in good dirt under the full sun.

2011 , Any Ideas ?

Nice Grow :)
I'm Going To Germinate Some Esben Viking Today For Outdoor 2011 ( Very Indica Dom ) Outdoor Strain.
I Can't Not Grow Any Mr Nice , So I'm Wondering If Anyone Has Suggestions For Something New And Different
I've Grown Shit, SSH, Mango Haze , Critical Haze , Early Haze ( Testers), N.H.S And Ortega (NL1X ).
I Want To Grow Something Medically Strong Enough To Really Kill Pain And Stimulate Appetite.
I Need Such A Strain At This Current Time
Joe:)

hey mr wallace , hope your getting your fill , hehe ,, should have some nice things to show further into the grow ..

hey bh , thanks man , and yep the outdoors is where its at without a doubt ..

hey joe ,, nice to see you ..
ideas for 2011 , ??
Im not much in the know when it comes to medical relief strains ,
and im guessing its a bit of different stroke s for different folks ,, ??

id certainly be happy for you to try something we have made to see if it was suited to your needs ..
im certain some if it stimulates appetite ,, for me at least ..
i should probably read up a bit more on medicinal cannabis needs ,,
be happy if you d share some experience joe , you know what works generally for your needs etc ...

That's a nice shot Donald, can't wait to see your Aussie bush sativas fill out and flower. So mate, are any of these the same Aussie sat that's inside Zoidfuel? And is that the same as the Mango sat? Or what? N.Qld gear, or N.Nsw?

Is it the tendency to hermaphrodite that prevents you from selling them? Or just too difficult for the indoor grower?

You can see I'm interested:) I just think there's a treasure trove of Oz bush that needs to be preserved and classified. And preferably shared with me:D And then we send them to the CSIRO and see how much of it is related to each other:)

hi mr bushy ,, good to see you ...
and yep dont worry ive b een thinking of all the things you asked ...

no the sativas in the patch are unrelated to zoidfuel ,

ive looked pretty close at your plants ,
and then mine ,
there is definately a similarity that ive noted
imho , they are likely from the same or similar erbs originally .
south east asia would be pretty accurate id say , wouldnt you ??

just the amount of thai that came here , the indian , they were the first huge influxes of seed that i know of ...
i know there was seed from other places ,, the mainstay was from asia though id be pretty certain ..
later png ..

i pulled out what i thought was a male today ,, the top was male ,, but there was also female growth lower .

i dont think too many folks can get the bst from these type of sativas indoors and too far from their natural home , well other than the diehards like mr hempy ..
it was one of the factors that stopped me producing ducksfoot ,

its pleasing to see more folks turning toward these sativas though ,
good to see you doing your bit bushy , kanga , hempy and a few others

i see it as essential that we keep the interest in them going ,
when all can grow freeling in the open without persecution ,
these are the genetics we will be needing ..

Hi ,
well just one last look at how she was ,
a pre "yasi" shot ,
ill get another when i can next get there ,,
ill bet its a different view to the one here ..

typically as ive seen ,
it will smash most cannabis to the ground ,
some survive , and if the weather improves can do ok ..

Hi mate.....Doesnt look good for you:eek:
I was going pretty good with the Brissy flood and then we got a storm that dumped 60 mm in 30 min, dont even know where the plants went:confused:
Anyway mate hope all goes ok with everything else.

Shame if all the hard work it wasted DM. As long as nobody is hurt , all is well though .
when you get the chance could you explain more the daylight hours in the tropics and how you can sometimes manage 2 sativa crops a year ? i used to follow Lous grows in FL , and he could also get 2 crops of sk1 outdoor if he timed it right with the equinox ?
