Had a couple of Door males do some strange shit on me, by getting female calyxes and producing 2 seeds in each one I should have taken pics and I might still, just to show Shanti if it is still lying there.....they were revegging.

Then IMO they are not males. Take a pic. Revegging flowering plants brings out hidden things sometimes. It forces them to go back to square one... they start with single leaves and go through the process as if they were seedlings. Girls in boys clothing is a problem these days.

Hi Nev.....When I was sexing the plants 3 out of ten showed up as definite boys, so I ended up planting them with the boys......I have been checking on them off and on for the last 6 weeks, not really paying much attention to them.
Then yesterday I checked them all closely and found 2 of those three Doors had turned. Anyway mate I did some pics today and you can see for yourself.

In the first pic you can see the 2 seeds, the rest are showing the male flowers that I saw on the plant when it first sexed.


Also a pic of some nice little bush orchids that are showing themselves this year, coz of the season:D

hey kanga ,, cool idea with the cages and lower branches growing through to hold up the plants ...
man the place you have lunch is just lovely ,, im sure id be tempted to have extended lunch sessions there ,, very tranquil and peaceful setting ...
last think ,, ive never seen a cicada hatching out in all the years ive been watching , ,used to annoy me the kid down the road used to see them all the time , hehehe ..great to see it in pic form at least ..
closest ive come was seeing one still in the ground in one of my winter greenhouses , still in its shell , funny looking thing .....

its about to pour here , but things have been pretty good on the weather front for me , fingers crosses as always .. lol ....
 
Thanx mate....I want to keep them low and a bit more spread out this year, not only coz of the storms, but I also think we are in for a nasty caterpillar season, I have already seen a number around already and there is nothing worse than seeing your top head getting a bit of brown in it:mad: and cant reach it:eek:

Yeah mate it is a beautiful spot, days like these last few were its been so hot and humid, its nice on the way home to sit and soak the feet just to bring the body temp down:D

Must be humid your way, but as you say the plants are loving it:D
I think we are in for some more rain as well, its been about 4-5 days now and already starting to get dry coz of the sun.

The day I got that photo of the cicada there were hundreds of them all in different stages and same the day before.......now I am getting deafend and pissed on....lol

absolutely on the caterpillers , worst ive seen ,, got a new sprayer though , german , gotta trust them guys to make the good gear ,, man its a beauty ..
i get the pure pyrethruim ,. its yellow liquid ,, 1mm per litre ,, strong shit ..

had a yarn with amate the other day ,, said his friend used to check for males using binoclulars ,, we figure thats too tall ,, hehehe

glad you have things prepared for the season to come ,, really looks like being one to test even us old hands ... good luck on the surfing , not sure ill be there with u ,,...

As Bushweed has pointed out the growth in the plants have been incredible.

ha mate looking good big difference in a short time and a long way to go yet before there even going to think of slowing down.
 
Question is: why did you make the dingo fence cylinder smaller to make the plant look bigger?

10 foot now, 12 foot by the start of Jan - I think we may see the first 20 footer since...!

I know mate, I am just getting ready to start foilar feeding, that will boost them even more:D

That little bit of a fence you put around that plant is going to do fuck all m8.

That plant will be at least 25 to 30 ft plus at the end of your grow bro.

But I guess you havent seen a proper wet season for a while ?

Lol.....Ill ajust accordingly, I am pretty sure it will stop it from toppling over once all those branches are tied to the wire at the bottom.
