Unfortunately, that’s the case. Serious Seeds is reliable, but the Kali Mist from back in the day is definitely not what it used to be. That’s why I’m all the more excited about the MNS strains I won at auction—to grow some real old-school weed from the past. I never thought in a million years I’d get to smell those aromas from my late ’90s and early 2000s again. Simply fantastic. Now I’m optimistic about the younger generation who swear by these Cali genetics. They’ve got a point, no question!! But when I tell the younger generation about the weed back then—how it was more creative, with real psychedelic undertones— They don’t believe me. Of course, I get labeled a windbag. But I’m convinced I’ll manage to convince one or two of them that Cockies, etc., aren’t the only game in town. Shanti MNS is definitely worth keeping an eye on. This strain fetches top prices at auctions. Just great. So far, 23 strains at about 30% off the original price. People are looking for the best and keeping them alive as long as possible.See you next time
P.S.: For the SSHxHazeC, I’d definitely plant them all at once. I’d dig out my big tents or even use an entire room for them. Hope that doesn’t sound too much like begging

A quick update on how the SSH is looking so far. As expected, it has started to stretch despite the growth phase. It’s also beginning to form flowers, albeit hesitantly. Since there’s still plenty of room to grow upward, I decided today, after the dark phase, to switch on the flowering channel. I’m curious to see how much more it can grow. If I had turned on the flowering channel a week ago, I suspect it would be about a third taller by now. It’s extremely thirsty right now and needed 2 liters of water the last two times. Completely dry after 48 hours
—thanks to the auto-watering pot. Since I knew it would definitely bloom well into the warm spring, I’ve set it up so I can connect it to a reservoir if needed. The water is now adjusted to a pH of 6.5 (with vinegar).
Guys, have a nice Sunday. Stay high as always. I’m optimistic that I’ll be back to that in due time and not just stoned. Well, the Ultra Sour doesn’t just make you stoned.

Hello again everyone! So, there's been quite a bit to do.
The SSH man is now near the cuttings that need pollination. I deliberately cut off the SSH man's head, hoping to gain a little more time before it starts producing pollen, as the main branch was visually a bit ahead. Stress can also accelerate pollination, right? So I'm not entirely sure if this was the right approach.Anyway, I made the effort to put the man in the bathroom under dimmer light and cooler temperatures during the light phase until today. When I wasn't there, "The Mistress" happily took over. "Hello, darling, can you please do me a favor...?" Every now and then I get told I should seek therapeutic help. This is my therapy, isn't it?
That's why I'm here in this wonderful forum. Okay, enough about therapy.In addition to the other strains, I also added: La. Bomba, Marsh. OG, Ultra Sour, and another Cherry M. Cake!
And of course, the AH# with the leaf shading. My first favorite. The clones are in BN-Nova coco coir. I'm watering with Advanced Nutrients Connoisseur A+B Grow, specifically the one for coco coir. However, I'll be using that next time instead of the regular Connoisseur BLOOM A+B, which has been sitting in my cellar for about three years. So far, I've only added Hesi Root Complex. Next time, I'll add Hesi Boost, as well as an all-around stimulator from Crazy Hills, Spark. I received the Hesi Boost as a gift. I bought Spark because I read that it's beneficial for plants that produce more energy/strength from seeds than from flower production.So I thought to myself, "Don't be stingy." Luckily, I haven't spent that kind of money on Green Sensation for a long time! 259 euros per liter? No thanks! It took me a while to realize that I can do without it. It certainly has its place! But due to a lack of money, I, and many others back then, discovered that weed just tastes different without it!
The SSH man seemed a bit hungry despite using the Bio Tabs option. He received a dose of Alga Bloom.
The SanLight 190 Watt Evo 3 is at 75%!So that's it for now. As always, I wish you all a good time.

Initially, when I rubbed the stem, the man smelled like ammonia and cat pee. Now it's sweeter. I can faintly smell something I also noticed with the AH#. Could it be because I sniff the Angel Heart a lot? It's kind of pungent in the nose. I've even experienced that kind of pungent smell from a woman. It's not like that after rubbing the stem. It actually tickles my nose a bit. The aftertaste is kind of like being in the woods after it rains. But also somewhat fruity. I'm somehow surprised by this long-lasting, complex aroma profile, without even having a flower in front of me. I've only ever smoked straight herbs, so I don't really have anything to compare it to.

Another small update on the SSH! After switching on the red light, it stretched out nicely again. Flower development is slowly getting underway. I assume the growth in height and width will soon be over. We'll see. It's very thirsty at this stage. Every 72 hours, I water it with two liters of pH-adjusted water (pH 6.5). Today, I added 20ml of Orgatrex with the GreenHouseFeeding BioEnhancer to those two liters. This is because it has 75 grams more content than Bio Tabs Bactrex. According to the packaging, it also contains humic acids, algae extract, Trichoderma, and Bacillus strains. The products shouldn't differ significantly in their effects, except that it's three times cheaper.It is now 81cm long and has a diameter of 48cm at its widest sides and 37cm at its narrowest.Since I find it very, very difficult to part with plants, I placed AH#1, 2, and 4 in the corners. I still have a second cutting left over from each of them. So I thought, as long as there's space, I can observe their growth profile during the first 14 days. But I was too optimistic. The SSH grew so much within just three days! In two to three weeks, a small Sea of Green of Cherry Mint Cake would be ready for harvest. That was the hope! That AH#1, 2, and 4 would survive that time, remaining slim in the corners. Then there would be space, and I could get an insight into how three AH plants are doing as rooted cuttings without any vegetative growth period. That's often different than with seedlings. Not always, but it's usually somewhat different than expected.So, I hope that was still somewhat understandable. An SSH thread with some surrounding information!
The LED was experimentally turned up to 100% power today. The humidity is at 47% after watering, which strongly suggests to me that the max/min hygrometer is defective. Enough said. Here's a photo of what it looks like.

I worked at a grow shop for a few years and as a cutting specialist at Floweryhighly recommend Bushplanet—that’s where the best strains come from. A colleague who got me into growing over 25 years ago recommended Jiffy Cake to me. I strongly suspect these are the same cuttings as those used for Governmint Oasis and Cereal Milk. However, they were available earlier at Bushplanet. They know what they’re doing. You’re guaranteed not to find any fake genetics at Bushplanet. Cereal Killer—it all sounds damn good. But: I’m really very disappointed with Sensi Seeds. Three years ago, I tested some of their flagship strains on a small scale—3–5 seeds each: Jack Herer, Shiva Skunk, Maple Leaf Indica, NL5xHaze, Skunk #1, Hindu Kush. I find that absolutely outrageous. Except for one Hindu Kush and a Nicole’s Kush, which were pretty good, but the others—well. Skunk #1 was acceptable, and the prices were sometimes very high. I wouldn’t recommend Sensi Seeds anymore. But that’s just my opinion. Cereal Milk, for example, smells really distinctive. You’re not really supposed to make recommendations. But when it comes to seeds, expensive doesn’t always mean good. If everything goes as planned, there should be enough usable seeds. But that’s still uncertain. Wow, @Zero0 I've always loved Chemdawg crosses. And this clone would be amazing. Back in the day at Flowery Field, I sometimes found out about the source and the costs. The current genetics at Bushplanet are really good, but unfortunately, nothing old school. I was told that STEAFLI FARMS JC#3 was selected from original, regular seeds. I could let them know that your tip would certainly be met with enthusiasm. Money is anything but readily available to me. I'm already too stingy for today's prices. Back then, top-quality selected clones cost 3-5 euros. If you bought in bulk, you could even get a better deal. And everyone was happy!
Yes, about 20 years ago, in Europe, you could find some elite clones (NYCD Mandarine or Grapefruit Cut, SSH Core Cut, etc.) quite easily for around €10 unit.
I think the true SSH core cut or called "Amnesia" its still easy to find in NL, maybe it's not the best elite cut of Haze but he's still very good.
Fortunately, it is always possible to select from good seeds and find an ‘elite phenotype’. But this takes very much time and money.

The link I showed you features the Chemdog 91 clone from the breeder Skunk VA (this is the version most widely recognised as the original clone from 1991).
Chemdog 91 is one of the best variety (if not the best) in the Chemdog family (which also includes Chemdog D, Chemsister and Chemdog#4) and she is the mother of the Sour Diesel and OG Kush strains.
Im sure the Chemdog 91 and Chemdog D clones sold by Skunk VA on his Luckydog website are genuine.
(But I can’t guarantee about the other clones.)

@Zero0 The Amnesia Core Cut has been around forever. It's not as vigorous as it was 20 years ago. I know there was a pretty good SSH Haze. Grüne Hessin and Boheman Gold are special European accidental pollinations, and these two strains, which were very popular for a while, originated from them. Grüne Hessin (Germany) and Boheman Gold (Czech Republic). You can get good cuttings here in Austria if you know where to look. Many aren't recommended. Your tip will definitely be of interest. I wonder if Bushplanet has a way to get them. We'll see. Is this cut shipped to every state in the US?In any case, you can't complain about our cutting market!I have to agree with you that selecting the right phenotype with only a few plants can be quite tedious. Unfortunately, I don't know of any dealers anymore who stock a good sativa. The best is the overdone Amnesia Core Cut. After over 20 years, I can't stand the smell of it anymore. Personally, I was never a fan of it anyway. It's become really difficult for me to find anything suitable in the sativa/haze category. But now I'm very optimistic about finding the right sativa at MNS.
I just saw that they're sending this clone to any country where cuttings are legal. Even to Vienna. I won't be able to afford it right now. But I'll take it to an old colleague. He'll present it to the boss at Planet. Maybe I'll get lucky and get the money. I have a lot of bills at the moment. There's over $500 for a clone and the long Teanspor...!

You can't just order it like that.
You can choose any country, but I guess they only ship to the States.
Yes, even though Skunk VA (the breeder) has officially put the Chemdog 91 cut up for sale, I think that unless you’re in the US or know someone there who can buy the cut and keep it alive until it reaches your place, it’s unfortunately impossible to pull off. And US customs are no joke, especially when it comes to plants.
Yes, it’s true that the SSH core/Amnesia can quickly become boring for some experienced smokers. Personally, the Zest/candy flavour doesn’t bore me, but I find that the potency of the high very quickly reaches a tolerance threshold that other cuts (A5, AG13, C5 and others) don’t reach as easily, or even at all (no ceiling).
For example, the ‘Ghost OG/Zest’ phenotype I got last year from my Ghost Train Haze #1 is just as flavourful as the Amnesia cut and has a much higher tolerance threshold (I’ve never really smoked this phebo to its limits anyway, as it’s really very potent.
Otherwise, I’ll definitely be starting a cross this year or next at the latest with Top Dawg Seeds’ Black Haze BX2 and Shantibaba’s Neville’s Haze, and I think that with that I could find at least one Elite Haze phenotype equivalent to C5, A5, etc. (We could also exchange some seeds if you’re interested, but this whole project is still a bit of a way off).

Exactly as you and many others in the thread described. I'm practically drooling over weed, with no limit. It's been a few years since I got my hands on such carefully selected clones. I've been searching ever since. I even have a whole fridge dedicated to purchased seeds. I had a bigger project planned for this year with a friend, but he passed away unexpectedly! So, there's plenty to choose from. Up until now, I've only grown my own seeds from Biddy Early's outdoor line, since they've been discontinued. Possibly, I've had grows where even after watering it would stay below 40% rh during the dry season

Yes, I know that all too well. Hardly any money is spent on shopping sprees. Half a not-so-small basement is full of stuff. DWC, Danish tables, grow tents in almost every size. Since it became legal in Germany (thankfully), prices in the shops have skyrocketed. Especially for clones. Often, the producers were happy to sell their surplus for next to nothing before it ended up on the compost heap. I'm seriously considering starting a clone express service for real cannabis enthusiasts to Germany. But if you have a certain history with cannabis, it's very difficult to do it legally, even in Austria. If you don't pay enough to the tax office, that's it, and you'll be in the dock faster than you'd like. It's a nice hobby, anyway. But also quite expensive, especially when you generate zero revenue from it. Luckily, money isn't so important to me anymore. But unfortunately, you need it. Selected cuttings aren't a problem here in Austria. But some are an absolute outrage. An activation fee of up to €500 just to be allowed to buy cuttings from a new strain? No thanks. For Cali genetics, it's just Cali, Cali, and more Cali. Very, very boring.You wouldn't believe what plants can withstand! I know for sure, given the size of the tent and how the ventilation is currently set, that this thermo-hygrometer is past its prime.A selection process to find your own medicine. It can be tedious with just a few plants, especially since people are never truly satisfied. At least, that's how it was for me. Always searching for even better weed. I'll continue this search with MNS until I find the medicine I'm looking for. If you look at most seed banks, Mango Haze x Lemon Skunk = Delahaze – the list goes on almost endlessly. Moby Dick...!
