What Microbe product you are using?

I used to use molasses alot. I learned it's got alot of N in it as well. At least in a dwc application. I usually mix 5 gallons at a time and just water the plants that need it when they need it. I usually don't att anything to the water besides very little Epsom Salt. Less than 100ppm. here and there. I know alot of people that use Recharge.

yeah, molasses has N and K in it.

I use 1-2ml/gal, i know a lot of folks use 5x that (1-2tsp/gal, = 5-10ml/gal). Im not using it for the N or K though, just added sugars to feed the microbes and help with chelation, so the lower amount helps keep it in line IMO

I've been using TeraGanix EM-1 for 4 years now. Should have been 5 but I didn't grow a crop in 2023, due to putting my house up for sale and moving.

Tried to purchase this last year but it was sold out at the Canadian retailers. They informed me, at the time, it wouldn't be restocked until 2025. Will try again this year.

Getting BAM isn't looking too promising at the moment, but will keep at it. Seems like demand is greater than the supply

One other product I forgot to mention earlier is FISH SHIT, by Fish Head Farms. This is my third year using it:

Have used Black Soldier Fly Insect Frass as well, which is microbial; and I'll likely use it again this year, as well as EM-1 Bokashi, and Fulpower (by BioAg), which is fermented.

VAM, a endomycorrhizal product from BioAg might be what you were thinking of?

Thanks, musashi, I wish it was that, but actually I was guilty of committing a logical fallacy, as most amateurs are prone to. It's built ìnto the learning curve.

In all actuality, I was making a false assumption about Ful-power based on the biological process by which it's made: fermentation. Foggy thinking on my part. Ful-power is an isolated extraction, which would explain why it's inert.

As a simple layman, I just assumed fermented foods were biologically alive, which is why they were beneficial to the human gut microbiome; or so I thought.

Some mychorrhizae are more specific to cannabis. I believe that Arbuscular mychorrhizae like Glomus Intraradices would be an ingredient to look for if sourcing mychorrhizal products.

Great point, mu. And that's my only complaint about the GreenGro myco product. It contains 2 or 3 strains of myco that aren't beneficial to cannabis, and not near a high enough amount of Glomus intraradices. Which is why I said, in Trupac's thread, that if I were ever to use the GreenGro myco, I would combine it with Mykos (by Xtreme Gardening).

About VAM, though, I've not used it yet but it's definitely on my list of future product "try-outs". The entire BioAg product line looks top-shelf level. If I were in a better spot financially, I'd have most of them in my tool box.

So whilst I have moved to a rockwool grow indoors, I am still using living organics in things that I grow regularly. I have used frass from black soldier flies too, it works great I find and only takes a few days to make a difference.

Curious at the Mammoth-P, @Amoril can I also ask you how come it is a limited resource? Did a bit of googling there, and couldn't really see what was in it, let alone what it is made from. I am assuming it is a bit like guano, where the amount that is created each year is far less than our consumption? Though with the name mammoth-p, I am assuming also that maybe it is made from fossilised mammoth bones that make it a limited supply?

Side note, FF, you might enjoy this podcast, came up when I was searching for mammothp ingredients:

On the topic of Mammoth P, it's time for me to get a new bottle which is proving to be difficult, at best. Looks like the manufacturer has either gone tits up, or is restructuring. Neither of its websites are working.

Too bad. Still have a couple oz left in my bottle but it's now past its best before date. If it ever relaunches, I will stick to the 4 oz bottle size. Hopefully it returns to market soon, but I suspect it's going to be a good long while before it does, if ever.

Hey Amoril, thanks for pointing that out. I must admit that I was totally unaware of that. Please elaborate more about that point, for us, of it being a limited & unrewable resource. That would be much appreciated. Cheers!
So Mammoth +P is (was) made by Growcentia.

Growcentia abruptly closed down around the end of 2024. No more will be produced, they haven't sold the recipe to anyone and are now defunct.

So what's out there in the wild, is all there ever will be

Thanks, dude. If I can find a bottle anywhere, I'll pick it up. Otherwise, this may be the year I'll finally trial run this other one, which I've had an eye on, for a few years now. Never tried it yet but definitely want to. It sounds great overall :

i wonder whats in that, thats restricted in my state? their website wont even let me look at the ingredients / label, just redirects to a blank page. I found out its because they have a replacement product listed for the few states that dont allow Photosynthesis Plus O to be sold.

i did find the label on a 3rd party site, didnt see anything jump out as controversial.

It appears Paleobloom is out of stock for the foreseeable future; and it's unclear if it'll ever be restocked, sadly. Not sure why, though.

Well, it won't be this year after all, as I opted to pick-up something different, called 'Microbial Mass':

20250619_225744.jpg

Unfortunately I got the PRO version which is far more concentrated than I need, so I'm unlikely to use it all before it expires. Should have stuck with the ORIGINAL version, which is more suited to a small home grow. Oh well ...

1.) Introducing Miicrobial Mass and Miicrobial Mass PRO

2.) Mode of Action #1: Phosphorus Solubilization

3.) Mode of Action #2: Calcium Solubilization
