"Haze A" serie

If Shanti has labelled the mother of the Haze AC male as NL5/Haze A#2, this means that there must be an NL5/Haze A#1 and that they are indeed two different selections.

Or has he confirmed somewhere that the NL5/Haze A used in Neville's Haze and the Haze AC male are the same?

I don't think so.
Nevil mentioned that NL5/haze(2) was better than NL5/Haze(1) in one of the threads he started( can’t remember which one may have been the Breeding techniques one),

In the first ten pages of the ultimate Haze hybrid thread Nevil lists NL5/Haze(2) as the mother of Nevil’s Haze in The Grail family tree

There was a NL5/Haze A #1, there were 5 of each A5 and C5. If I recall correctly, each one was based on how indica leaning it was

Nevils haze was originally A5xHazeC and was orignally called 5A/C. However in Holland people started calling it Nevil's haze (yep, it wasn't Nevil that called it Nevils haze), and the name stuck.

I think one of the key differences is that Shanti's Haze AC is a male rather than female, so is definitely related to the OSH, but is Shanti's selection. Reading through the diaries anything that Shanti has realised with the AC male is absolute fire (especially Mu's The Doors thread, give it a read if you havent already).
Ok, so according to your theory, there will be 5 variations of NL5/Haze A from Shanti's selections. That's interesting.
But NL5/Haze A is only found in Neville's Haze and the Haze AC male, so apparently we only have access to a maximum of two different phenotypes of NL5/Haze A.

A lot of people recommend The Doors to me, I've already got 4 packs so that's enough. 😊

This is also a possibility.

I thought NL5/Haze A#2 was a new Shanti selection made from Neville's old seeds.

I'll have to browse the forums a bit more to see if I can find more precise answers to these questions.

A5(2a) was selected by nevil himself in 88/89.

As Nightmare has said, Shanti didn't select any of the A5/C5 plants, these were all selected in the 80s by Nevil. Nevils haze came along later, and was given to the South Holland Crew just before he went to Australia.

The A5 (2) and A5 (4) are still around Holland. Only Shanti knows what he has of those original lines.

There are other breeders that offer lines that have A5 as a parent if you are specifically looking for A5.

Okay, I didn't know that.

Yes, some US breeders have A5 Bx versions.

But it would have been cool to have access to originals F1 containing 37.5% or 50% Haze A from Shanti.

In any case, thank you for your clarifications.

Well, I found this thread again:

There's loads of information from Neville (Rest in peace) and Shanti about Hazes and more. I'm still reading it.

I should have read up more on the subject before asking my questions here.

DNA... just a bunch of scammers.
Funny, I feel Shanti says the DNA guys are nice. I may be wrong on that though.

I have gone much further into the realms of A5/ haze in the last while. Of the run that I had just finished, I had a very strong A5 leaner in my Oaxacan x A5. Extremely psychadelic, extremely introspective and extremely empathetic. It is a mega mood amplifier.

If I was going to name this strain something different, I would call it "empathy". It has made me cry to the most ridiculous things. Hysterically crying at the end of barbie for the story (LOL), finished a drama and it was a great ending- in tears at the love between the couple. Smoked it with a friend whilst watching everything everywhere all at once, and we were crying with laugher. Definitely some unique herb.

Hi All,

I know Don and Aaron from DNA and recall when they came to Amsterdam. They asked multiple times to do a collaboration on something but I never did anything at all with them except share a space in the expo or a joint or beer...pretty much like how I do it with them all. I do not wish to come across arrogant but I survive independent of the seed industry or flower industry...always have. Since we always made our own seeds, mothers, fathers, flowers, distillate, crude oil, etc...and never bought in, we have been in control of all we do and disperse.
I wish everyone success who put in the work...but proof is in the seed in the end.
My work nowadays is in our licenced facility in Switzerland, a small amount in Spain and Austria, and the company is still based in NL (that never changed). We export and we are medically licenced producers and pilot program producers of flower, hash and vapes in Swiss. So we found our niche with a high quality Swiss based, medical licenced company called Bergbluten. My kids all worked for a long time in our various subsidiaries and Jakody , my youngest son has now taken over the Auctions and social media from Sara, who now is trying other work closer to her studies . I am very proud of Sara to reach into the unknown and give it a try and appreciate all her work since 2019. Jakody is now in charge and I am equally as proud of him for stepping up to the new challengers with work and studies. Appreciate the chance to work with my kids as adults, it is a wonderful gift to have been endowed with. I only hope you all get a chance in life to spend intense working time and new decisions and new projects as well as all the normal family interactions with those you love and care for.
Anyway wishing you all a good week further...Sb

Hello Shantibaba, 😎

It's good to see that you've kept the same mindset all these years, and I congratulate and thank you for that. It's difficult nowadays not to fall into the traps of easy money.

From what I know, DNA Genetics offered good seeds (I grew a Kosher Kush cut in 2015 and it was very good) in the beginning, when they worked with "Reserva Privada" in California.
But for several years now, they have switched almost exclusively to the feminised seeds market, not to mention their tendency to be very ambiguous about their genetics.

So I prefer to avoid them.

Hello there 😎

When did Shanti produce a strains series with a selection of Haze A hybrids ?

For example :

NL5/Haze A × Haze AC

NL5/Haze A × Skunk/Haze A

Maybe some "G13/Haze A" from old seed stock is aviable ? To make :
G13/Haze A mother x
NL5/Haze A or Haze AC father ?

😇
Hey Zero0,
If you grow out enough Nevil Haze plants you will find a Haze “A” pheno type in the NL5HazeA x Haze C seed.
However
How would you know what a Haze A pheno type is?
Nevil once told me in private what to look for in the plants.
Liver,Leather Aromas and a mind warping head rush would be the indicator for Haze A pheno.
It’s in there ,you just need to dedicate the time and effort to find one.
I too would love to see
NL5HazeA x SkunkHazeA in seed even if it wasn’t Nice simply for the DNA in this seed.
@shantibaba ☝️👍
✌️

As Haze A and Haze C are brothers (if I have understood correctly what Neville wrote) I think you can also find some "Haze A/Piff" pheno just whit the Haze C male.

"Haze males A+C were at best half brothers, but certainly shared a common ancestor, so my guess is that the inbreeding co-efficient to the haze ancestor in Nevil's Haze is at most 37.5%." .N

So Haze A male and Haze C male did not come from the same seed stock or the original seed stock was not homogeneous ?🤔
