Smokin some SSH 5 and Pakalolo #1. Pif man... I have to be careful to air the house out every now and then. I think I'll be cookin the turkey 2moro or the next day. 6hr turkey = 3hrs of UNBEATABLE odor control hehehe.

Who said Pakalolo?

Pakalolo #2 ~90 days since 1st. I flipped this plant ~late July...

Finished work a lil early today, so I figgured I'd share with the rest of the class.

Got cuts? 48 cuts taken last night/today. In trays of 4, 2 trays to a row, 6 rows. L2R (in groups of 8): SSH5, SSH1, SSH4, EQ2, SSH1, Pakalolo.

SSH 1 that I couldn't bring myself to throw away. Cloned from the main stem, cut a big diagonal slice, and scraped some stem opposite the cut. Mucho root gel, and I buried a node. I'm expecting ~5-7g of iffy. :)

Some shots of the same SuperSpice bud. Unknown pheno (prolly tweener), clone bush, 52days. I'll be pumped if it is tweener, as that is tasty, STRONG, and a lil sativa leaning. ~2 more wks.

SS1129b.JPG

Under a sweet spot. The 2 seedplants are 'mergencies, and I'm 90% sure they are SuperSpices. The other plants are SSH, Shit and ^that^ SuperSpice clone. 'Mergencies are lookin GOOD. No balls, no runts. The 1 small plant STINKS, and I think she is small cause she is indy heavy. I'll get pix of the rest of em up in a lil bit.
standtall.JPG

Just finished a lil blunt of iffy, and I got a turkey ~3hrs in. My house is CRANKIN in the smell dept!!

Wow, I'ma open a user account under - Database Error... ALL DAY...

Well, I took this pic ~ an hour ago - 4hrs into ~ a 6hr bake.
turkey.JPG

And for those of you wondering why some turkey is KO, and some is like a sleepy suggestion, I got you. It's in the giblets. Cook em ~2hrs on low before straining and adding to whatever store-bought gravy you got. Did you know that Col Sanders would spot check the gravy at his Kentucky Fried's? He could give a shit about the chicken, but the gravy HAD to be right. He was no dope..
S7303357.JPG

No rabbit food, just potatoes and more stuffing left to go. :)
[another database error uploading the jibblitz...getting a lil ridiculous, turkey scheduled to come out ~40 min, and still not uploaded. Jibblitz is TASTY, boy..]. Screw this, I'm copying and sending this, and I'll edit in the pic.

Well I finished eating ~90 min ago, and now the site is FLYIN!!

The green is Goya jalapeno hot sizzle.

The 10 'mergency females. I think that the 2 on the far left are ssh f2's, and the rest Spice x ssh.

Article about Lincoln High, and a certain freshman point guard...

January 10, 1992
BASKETBALL; Another Marbury Hits Nothing but Net
By HARVEY ARATON

Oh, how Dexter Wooten wanted to rip the cast from his right arm, slip quickly into a red Lafayette uniform and take a shot at the baby-faced kid with the hop in his feet and the rhythm to his dribble. If only he could magically heal for this one afternoon, for this trip to the lair of the best team in New York City.

"Let me at him," Wooten said, figdeting on the bench, his eyes fixed on Lincoln's 14-year-old Stephon Marbury, already being hailed as the next Kenny Anderson. "I could stop him."

The cast, holding together an arm with a bullet in it, would stay on. Wooten, Lafayette's missing-piece point guard, would get no shot at Marbury. Marbury, taking charge of a Lincoln team loaded with major college-bound seniors, would play all 32 minutes, out-steady Wooten's replacements and make the shots to deny Lafayette what would have been the upset of the New York high school season. Freshman Thrives on Pressure

"I like the pressure," the freshman would say after scoring 8 of his team's last 10 points in a 58-55 thriller that continued a season of heartbreak for Lafayette and left its coach, Ira Levine, mumbling to himself about eight missed free throws and a third maddening Brooklyn Division I regular-season defeat.

"We don't believe in ourselves," Levine decided, while, downstairs in the locker room, frustrated senior guard Phil Washington talked of quitting the team. And center Antonio Carrasquillo lamented the shot he missed that would have put Lafayette ahead with 40 seconds to go. Hot-shooting forward Tony Rexha angrily asked himself how he could take a 2-point shot when his team was losing by 3 as the game was ending.

Levine finally decided he would dwell on the positive, his team again proving that it is the best opponent in Brooklyn Division I. "Did you see that jump shot the Marbury kid made off the dribble?" Levine said, shaking his head in awe.

He had to admit that Bobby Hartstein had another great one.

When all the bids had finally been made, when coaches from Catholic schools had finished promising full scholarships and free rides to school, Marbury could not tell himself a lie. Abraham Lincoln High on the Belt Parkway side of Ocean Parkway was the school to which he was destined to go. And Hartstein, the Lincoln coach, had won a high school version of a few-holds-barred recruiting war by wooing the big star from Intermediate School 238. Sought by Catholic Schools

"A couple of the Catholic schools really wanted me, but I think they knew all along that I'd be coming here," Marbury said. "It seems like yesterday that I was a little kid coming to the games, wishing I could play for Lincoln. This is home."

Marbury's three older brothers -- Eric, Don and Norman -- all starred for Lincoln, as had numerous cousins over the last decade. Hartstein estimated the number of dribbling Marburys from Coney Island to have played for him at Lincoln to be "something like 14," with this season's team including five of the Coney Island cousins.

Under Hartstein, a family tradition was begun and a Brooklyn Division I power was born. Defending city champion, Final Four finisher since 1985, Lincoln has become the model city basketball school. "Schools say they have basketball teams, we like to say we have a basketball program," said Hartstein, a 41-year-old Lincoln dean of special education.

"Team, program, whatever," said Levine. "Bobby does a real nice job, but it hasn't hurt to have gotten all those Marburys."

One day, Levine hopes, Lafayette might start a pipeline from some basketball-rich neighborhood. Maybe he would one day coach legitimate Division I college talent like Lincoln's 6-foot-7-inch senior Tchaka Shipp, who will play next year for Seton Hall.

Had Lafayette's season not been marred by unpredictability and tragedy, Levine believes he would be contending for his first city title. But one of the Frenchies' players, Curtis Cumberbatch, died last summer in a gun accident. Wooten was shot three times by another juvenile in a street fight in November. Within a week of the Wooten shooting, Levine's best returning big man, 6-5 Timothy Weston, moved upstate.

"They say it runs in cycles," said Levine, whose team is 3-3 in Division I. "I'm still waiting for mine."

The coming of Marbury IV means Lincoln won't be suffering for at least three more years. At 5-10, 140 pounds, he is the first freshman to start for Hartstein. It is not because the coach has no one else.

"Along with Kenny Anderson and Pearl Washington, he's one of the best freshman point guards I've ever seen," said Tom Konchalski, a respected college scout.

Brother Eric played at the University of Georgia, brother Don at Texas A&M and brother Norman is at San Jacinto, a junior college in Texas. But where Stephon was going to be this year was a tossup, according to Hartstein, who said he "heard things" all summer, as Catholic schools attempted to lure Marbury with the perks of private school education. Competing for Coney Islanders

At least one other coach in Brooklyn Division I said there would have been great irony had that occurred. This coach contended that Lincoln and Grady High, a vocational high school and Lincoln's archrival a few bounce passes across Ocean Parkway, have been competing for Coney Island's best players -- in effect recruiting -- for years.

"You can't be successful like those two schools have been without doing it," the coach said. "It's not like it's against the rules, but some of us just can't bring ourselves to keep going into junior high schools to talk to 13- and 14-year-olds."

Grady, which won the city title two years ago and twice beat Lincoln during the 1990-91 regular season before losing in the playoffs, is coached by Jack Ringel, who was one of two assistants to Mark Reiner at Lincoln in the early 1980's. Reiner's other assistant was Hartstein.

"Bobby and I go back," Ringel said, adding that, as of now, they do not speak. "It's personal, nothing to do with basketball." Another coach said the feud between Hartstein and Ringel was over Derrick Brown, who transferred last September to Grady from Prospect Heights, and was cleared by the P.S.A.L., to the dismay of the division's coaches, to play this season. A Couple of Promises

With the self-assurance of a Big East coach, Hartstein said, "I only promised Stephon that he wear No. 3, which his brothers wore, and I would be here with him for the entire time.

"If I told you that we don't recruit, people would tell you that I'm crazy. But the truth is that we get a lot of kids who want to come here because it's a good school. It's what city ball used to be like. I'm no hero. There are just a lot of people around the program who make it work."

Such a person is 66-year-old Tony Grittani, who lies in a coma, across the street from Lincoln in Coney Island Hospital, where he has been since he collapsed during the national anthem of a Lincoln football game on Nov. 16.

Grittani, known as Mr. Lincoln, graduated from the school in 1942. He has been a fixture at Lincoln sporting events, the student-athletes' best friend.

"Mr. Grittani has been like a second father to me," said Stephon Marbury said, .

That was one perk, he said, no school could match.

Howdy all. Found another 'mergency stash. This one has me a lil pumped, cause it is ~20 seeds that could be any of the following:
Pakalolo
T.Haze x Sk
Shit
Sweet Haze
OG kush x g13/hz
Dreamtime
ECSD x la conf (EC Conf - barletta holds out hope)
Kalichakra
Godbud x Dreamweaver
Orange D & SSH (not likely, but possible)
Merle's Pearl (not likely, but possible. I hope not, it's hermie prone indy bagseed. Dunno if I put untested bagseed in an emergency stash )

I could prolly ID the Shit, SSH, Orange D, or the ecconf. MAYBE the Sweet Haze/ogkush x g13/hz, and MAYBE the haze x Sk (no other 20 weekers in there...)

Dropped 9 today :) Fingers crossed for dank!

Some of my latest Shit. This is the largest plant with 'fluffier' buds relative to the other Shit females I've run. I'm glad I got to make seed with this plant. I have Shit f2's (mixed with 2 different daddys), and some Shit x Gsk.

Some iffy, ~8wks I love this weed. Rollin a lil dutch of iffy now :^)

Hey I got a real shot at 48 for 48 with my POS starter greenhouse. Check the clones outside the box, that's how they usually look fer me. These ALL look good ~4-5 days in. I'ma swap the trays that look 100% out in a few days to take another round.

Damn I love smokin SSH. It's the strongest bud that can be smoked 'anytime'.

Anyway. I like to throw pollen around, and I recently packed up some SSHf2's from a clone of SSH5, and I noticed that they were the smallest seeds I have ever made, and are the smallest that I remember ever seeing. They did cook 4-5 wks, and they are a solid light brown with a subtle 'seam'. I had always figgured that the seeds shape and size were almost solely dependent on the mother plant. Well, I found a stray seed on a ssh5 yesterday, and it is definitely different than the f2's. It is medium sized, has a more gray color, and has a distinct 'seam'. Funny thing is, it may be the same seed (ssh5 x sshM2).

Here is the seed as I found it on the plant. Take me to your leader...

You Know? For a crazey man;) you grow some damn nice plants...and have a bewildering variety growing to boot!!

I can't keep track of all the stuff you got going on.

Fucking too bad we (ALL of us) can't check out each others gardens in person. Be a great experience wouldn't it?

Nice plants :D Well done!

Yo holmes :) Thanks fer the kind words. 1/2 the reason I keep the thread updated is so that I can keep track...

I kinda wish that more people would ask Q's and make suggestions in here. The variety is going to take a lil hit once the clones go in. Gonna run as much SSH4 and pakalolo as I can. I haven't run the pakalolo from clone, but the #1 seedplant went ~10wks, and I bet will crush in a short veg sog. SSH#4 looks like a nice yielding haze ~10wks. I still miss #2... The ssh5 and ssh1 are mostly fer headstash, but it will be haze @8wks and again @12. Shewtin for ~Dec 18 to flip. I'd like to follow the 12weekers with a round of EQ/Devil to reveg and go outside early May. Oh yeah. Already got the wheels turnin for next summer!

EDIT - Check out the cal def on the Shit plant. I burned her ~wk 3/4 with PBP, and didn't have any kelp or castings, so I stopped feeding her (just molasses and LK). That is basically my mix with no added castings (cept the teas the last 2 waters) or crab for cal/mg. I'm going to start to add a tsp or 2 additional lime (already a decent, but unmeasured amt and DEFFO not 3+ cups/30 gallons - but promix has some...) on flower transplant. I have to measure out a tsp by 'pinches'. :p

3rd try...

Here are some early shots of the tops of the 'mergencies. The plants are 10days to ~3wks after first flower. I'm pretty sure that the following are Spice x SSH.

This one I'm pretty sure is a ssh f2.

This one is a toss up.
S7303400.JPG

45 day Shit clone ~6wks. Could take it today if I had to - Just gonna fatten from here out. I'll prolly go ~60 days. This is the same (and last) cut that I've been running for a while.
S7303402.JPG

SuperSpice clone ~8wks. Please excuse the doghair. This plant gets brushed by my sleeves ~5 times a day, and is first in line to filter any doghair off of the floor. :0

Damn I love smokin SSH. It's the strongest bud that can be smoked 'anytime'.

Hey man, hope all is well. :)

The SSH is damn fine cannabis for sure, among the best Ive seen from Holland I can honestly say. Im a very happy man to have her in my collection and I look forward to working with her in the future. Those cats Neville and Shanti, something else with their breeding arent they?

I recommend you use your SSH pollen frequently, as the SSH can do nothing but improve whatever female you're working with. Your Super Lo Lo idea sounds good :)

Peace compadre.

I know I loved my SSH f1's... A LOT.

And I'm really happy I have a big batch of seeds from each of 3 different SSH f1 mothers and my SSH f1 daddy.

So far the progeny have been every bit as good a smoke as the f1s...actually some of the f2s were maybe better in terms of taste and aroma. every single plant f1 or f2 has been extremely potent in the sense of it takes damn little to get a great buzz from. I think my results show just how good the underlying genetics are in MNS SSH....and of course that is that result of HARD work by Shanti and Neville.

SSH gets my vote for sure.

One day I'll get some new SSH f1 seed. I'm still hoping to get some MH and NH too.....along with some OH from Skunkman. I still hope to enlarge my grow a bit to allow some breeding. Over time...I just want to cross the various SSH x SSH plants with some new SSH, NH, MG, OH to see what results. Just for fun. Maybe get some Northern Lights and get some of that in that action too. I can't imagine any shitty weed coming from doing that, can y'all?

Yo JessE :) No more SSH beans. I put the 25 ssh5 x sshM2 into the sshf2 batch yesterday. I have ~100 f2's at this point, with SSH's 1, 4, and 6 x sshM2 still to go in. I would guess I have ~25 on each plant. the SuperLolo's are in 12/12, and are staying shorter and branchier than I expected. I have a BUNCH of these beans (spring's Pakalolo #2 x sshM1) to play with in the future.

I had 3 of the 9 seeds from the latest emergency batch pop, and I put all 9 into soil today. I made up another emergency pkg with ~20 ea Shit x Dude and pakalolo x ssh (superlolo). All you growers out there, it never hurts to have some seeds stashed away, just in case...

SSH6 (~75days) and Pakalolo #2 (~100 days) come down Sat, so I'll get pix 2moro. :)
[barletta lights lil dutch of tweener, and think about the killer indoor that is coming up...]

Love my Mondays :D

EDIT - SF, you snuck in there! I'm grabbing some haze mix and haw x sk from seedsman this winter. I'm going to pick some MrN from what is up when I order, but prolly MH or MH x Nev's or Af/Hz. Something hazy.
