I would be THRILLED with the same female (assuming she smokes ok, I'll report back):)

Umm question. At sept 30th of week 7. Would i be wrong to say that looks like a male? I know its a stupid thing to ask beings few people grow males beings low thc levels. But ive always been so bad at identifying sexes with all those strains and phenos and hybrids out there. its tough.

Hey WG. You would be wrong, but it is far from stupid to ask. The spots where the white hairs start 'shooting' again around wks 6/7/8 depending on strains CAN resemble male flowers, but up close they are EASY to tell apart. Most growers (my self included) start out thinking that males will be difficult to spot, or one may get away, etc... The truth is, they will give you a solid week of 'yep, that's a male' before you have to separate them from the females.

Here are some shots of a male @~4wks flower. I made him REAL BIG, so that you can see the flowers.

Once a (nonfukked) plant shows you that it is a male or female, that is it. If there are no outside problems (and the genetics aren't all 'distorted') the plants will continue to be EITHER male or female. Females show 2 distinct white hairs, and males look like they are growing 'spades'. The idea is to have only females. I keep a few males now and then to make seeds with, then I chuck em, cause I don't need THOUSANDS of seeds. I have come across female plants that went 'hermie' and started growing male bananas. I had to separate/chop those plants, and didn't/won't make seed with them.

Thanks, Mrmeister:) He is not MRN (well...) he is ogkush x g13/Hz(c). He had a sister that was (in memory) right there in flavor with my SSH's. LEMON PLEDGE. In a hazy tasty way, not a chemmy/hairspray way... I crossed him to MangoWidow, a bunch of ssh's, Shit, Spice, and SuperSpice(spice x ssh). He was the only surviving plant from the last 4 beans, and he LOOKS very muck like his sister. She was a lil hazier, throwing 3 leaf fans with BIG 'middle fingers' late in flower, and went ~12/13 wks. Would have LOVED to have hit this EQ with him...

Ok gotcha. I had asked because Ive never seen a fully matured male plant or an immature one for that matter. So when i saw your plant wich started the question, the buds looked so packed and clustered that i had thought it resembled a male plant. :D Ive still got lots to learn. And the good thing is, is that I enjoy learning it.

Yo, thanks red! I just um 'transplanted' into solo cups of kelp heavy cocomix. 2 looking good so far..

I want some

Hiya B & H,

Hope your are well Barletta :) Your pics got me looking up this lady in the strainguide, I want her in my garden, just found the next seeds I need :D

Again thanks for growing & showing mate :p You got greenthumbs (badly bitten:rolleyes:) but green bro, lol,

I really hope your headaches become history asap

peace

Guys, thanks fer the kind words. Weed plants kinda grow themselves (once ya get em germed, then leave em alone). The MrN beans have given me no problems with hermies, and save for a few G/Sk males, line up just about exactly with the strain descriptions. I trimmed up the EQ 2day, and I'll be sampling some in a few days. The 1 EQ (not a real sample) shat all over the 3 martian mean greens, and 1 kalichakra that I ran next to her. I have 3 EQ seeds to run next summer (emergency, in case I can't get another pack). My packs for next summer will be:
Shit
EQ
EQ x Hz
maybe something new from Shanti :)

Um ok, retract that 'shat on the MMG' statement. 1 of those mmg's was FIRE, but the other 2 seeded themselves badly, and the smoke was decent at best. All of em had killer bag appeal.

As fer the EQ? Indy leaning smoke. Kinda dull high, but gets the job done. The high reminds me of the buds I used to get commercially, but the smell/bag appeal are nicer. The bud smells like skunky lemon kitchen spice. Nice dense lil towers of calyxes. Sativa leaning plant, indy leaning buds. Not a 'keeper' for indoors unless weight would be a consideration (heavy plant).

I have these 2 neglected things. I transplanted out of the solo cups 2day, and was expecting slimy, dying roots. They looked GOOD. Not particularly dense, but thick and healthy. I'm going to veg until they need water then flip em. I figgure that they should show relatively quickly, due to their age (~6wks now). If either is female, I'm going to strip her down and run the cuts a few wks behind the seedplant(s). Ideally, I'd like to be able to run the EQ cuts along with some haze cuts in a few wks...

Big plans, lol.

uf nice healty plants you run there ;) i have one EQ on reveg ..she was the first one in flower last season and had excellent growing vigor.I collect pollen from males and now will play a little wit la nina -widow pheno(she is also on reveg)
peace

Hey thanks, land_0 :)

The plant on the right (will be EQ#1 if the other is female too) showed a few days ago, and I took 8 of the 12 growth shoots for clones. All 5 EQ's that I've seen could be the same plant (uniform so far), so if the other is a male, these are my f2 parents. If the other is a female, I'll shave her the same way.

Gonna go up to 2 gallons when they both show.
