You have a lot of nice outdoor plants going there!! They all look nice and green and healthy...you know how I like that!!

Just makes me crazy to not have an outdoor grow going. We went from record heat last week to some locations nearby (potential outdoor grow locations) being in the low 30's in the AM "warming" up to the high 50's mid day.

About your late finishing little plants. If security permits, you might try putting a camo mosquito net over the plant, not touching it, about a foot above it. Stretch it between 3-4 poles or whatever's handy. This will let light thru fairly well but frost won't "settle" on it. My mom did this to some ornamentals in Florida where I grew up. Ones that were in ground and couldn't come in the house. This trick doesn't work for cold, raw, windy weather, just calm cold mornings.

I bet JessE and I are close, but not too close. He talks about flyovers and grids, like they know it's out there. I haen't seen a chopper that I thought was out lookin for plants in my area. I see them all the time from a nearby army base (usually 3-6 choppers) and a regional hospital/trauma center (1 or 2 choppers, MOOOOVIN). He gets out there for ferts, makes me a lil jealous. All I am able to do (except the last 2 trips) is topdress, and I put about 100lb of hottish compost out when I planted.

EDIT - SF What's up! Not a one blister. Today was less, ~4-5 mi, but the last 2 up hill, and I was kinda bustin ass a lil, workin the youngest dog... The only part of the barefoot walk that I didn't enjoy was a 200yd strip of gravel/chiptar rd. Sucked it up, cause I knew that if I put em on, I wouldn't take em back off...

Last summer (before I ever harvested anything) I had a hard time keeping track of a few spots in the woods. It was kind of unsettling, as I 'grew up' in the woods. This spring I lost em a few times, but you stomp around, and hope that you don't step on em. You can do that when the cover is 'green'. After going a few times, I could go in the dark. Lots of cursing the prickers, but I could find em in anything more than half a moon. I love it out there. I have to make a nighttime run before it gets 'cold'.

May touch the upper 40's here this wk. May not. 70-80 in the day, 50-60 @ night. I won't be worrying too much about the late finishers, the Shit and Spice will be early and big, so after they come down, it's gravy. Gonna just watch the weather starting ~oct 10 (well ALWAYS watch it, but ready to close shop Oct 11 if I have to.)

This is my 'iffy' pheno @68 days (12/12, clone, noveg, 3.4l cocomix)

Different clone, exact same setup. Fimmed @ ~1-2wks, hit with og kush x g13/h pollen.

Gonna take 1 in 10 days, and give the other 12 full.

SSH 4 Seedplant. Reminds me of SSH 2 and 3. Lemony, cheesy, deadstuff haze. 46 days since first flower.

SSH #5 45days since 1st flower. Prolly going to pull her @ 60 days. Starting to take on a dry haze smell... piff....piff... Does remind me of the SSH 1 (iffy) seedplant in flower. DENSE nugs, buds look like a sk/nl, hard and 'crowning'. Smaller yield, will be lucky to pull 1.5 oz in a 2 gal cocomix. Looks like it should be ~the same time in flower (9-10 wks after 1st flower..). I have these lil 'flouro bushes' of ssh 4 and 5 that I can't wait to flip...

That SSH could be a sog plant, but you would have to be able to 'get mo' due to the 11/12 wks cycle. She is not particularly heavy. Even after the full 12, I am only expecting ~a zip per clone. Not bad, but could match it EASY with 10 wk cycle of OD/Spice/Shit, etc... I have a Mango Widow that is the best that I have for sog, but I don't like the high so much. I will be lollipoppin a few of the more indy dom SuperSpice cuts in a week or so.

I cut my Shit from outside, cause I found a lil mold. I have a tendency to keep the area outback kinda 'weedy' which blocks the airflow, I keep the soil too moist, and the plant came from inside -->out. Begging for it..

Has anyone with an Indy Dom, bubblegummy 45day Shit found it to be a 'MOLD MAGNET'???

I took the old dogs to the Aurora around the corner today. The old man(dog) was NOT feeling the hill on the way back. Less than 2 miles round trip, downhill through the woods on the way out, uphill on the road on the way back...

Again, these were rushed outside, and only get partial morning/evening sun (full on peak sun They are much slower to flower than I would have expected, and I'll be lucky to finish em properly..

I'll get some pix for y'all later. I chopped the ssh #5 this morning. She was a lil small, but could have gone another week or 2. I am OUT of bud so her time is now. 48 days since 1st flowers, kinda neglected (was raised during the SuperSpice/outdoor action), Should be over 30g in a 2 gallon organic. She should be DELICIOUS, as I don't remember feeding (topdressed with guano/greensand) after I went to the 2 gallon 40 days ago. Thick, heavy haze smell. I hope the cuts stay close to mom (hazy, quick). I'm going to be a lil more careful with the cuts after the #'s 2+3 fiasco. I do have 2 seeds in the dirt that are (superspice x SSHfem) from a #2 (8/9 wks, pepper, skunk, haze) banana on the most sativa pheno (the cuts I have in the sidebyside, ~11wks) SuperSpice. I used a few bananas on 1 bud, got 4 seeds, 2 cracked, 1 above dirt, 1 ready to break. Any fem'd plants will be just for fun/experience. There will be no breeding or keeping them.

Okay...hmmm...what do I got.. Bagseed starts getting 'flipped' 2moro. A few of them are STINKERS for lil plants. My veg setup sucks, so I'll be doing something different soon. I just haven't figgured what. My first room/closet shelf had a heated veg floor due to it also being the flower box roof. I haven't seen indoor plants root/veg so easily since. I thought I was just that good/it was just that easy... I'm prolly going to get at least 1 big heat/seedling mat for veg.

The biggest pakalolo is a female Ima take cuts when what I have in there roots, prolly next wk or so. I am using the container of 3:1 perlite:vermic, I've done 2 runs (~ a month) on the same substrate, no alge or funk, or dying plants or anything. The only thing that I am waiting on down below now is the 2nd pakalolo.

This Saturday I'm droppin the rest of a pack of G/sk and Shit (~8 each). Looking for 16 healthy seedlings. Any dead seeds/seedlings will be replaced with seeds from a mix pack of SSH f2's (3 mommas) and SuperSpices. I plan on 'flipping' the skunks after 3-4 wks above dirt, so the hazes will get flipped after 2-3 wks. Again, I count 'days' after the first flower for seedplants.

I will get some pix of the more indy dom SuperSpices. I have 2 big plants that are ~4wks 12/12. They MAY be the same cut. I found this pic from The week that I had to 'throw' everything out, and the 3 large SuperSpices that I have are from that tray of 6 in the bottom of the pic. I took ~20+ cuts when the 5 Superspices showed. Most died, but some made it (~10) I assume that the stronger cloning plants were the 1's to make it. I have 2 inside, and 1 out back. The other 3 I donated. Damn, 2 months.

Funny, this summer I gave away ~10 plants 2wks rooted, and 4-5 mature plants (including a BIG iffy and Orange D...) this summer, and I doubt that I'll even hear from the people that I gave em too. Personally, I feel INCREDIBLY indebted to the dude who turned me on (one of the folks I may never hear from...). Is it just me or when people owe you a lil money (and you don't even ask, cause it is a lil, and they are/were friends) all of a sudden you turn into a piece of shit... Happened to me 2x's this summer. Spot people some nugget, then they just fade away... Not very much nugget either. Cell phone bill nugget, not rent payment nugget... /angry.

I hit the 2 SSH seedplants with the dude too. I'm going to have a DANK scrap heap. It will have some of all of the deliberate crosses, and ALL of the random seeds that I don't eat. I'm making brownies or something later today...

Here is one of those SuperSpice cuts. I was forcing her the last 2 wks of July with that brown bucket. I have 2 others down below.

The 'dirt' area is close to 1 m2, and I expect the plant to fill it 90% or more. I am thinking 2-4 zips if I let her finish. I'll cut her faster than a 26yr old tailback with a torn miniscus (sorry, pickin my draft team) if she starts stinkin in front of the house..

Decided to make up some compost tea after reading Ronin and hempy's disscussion in the ..."Thinking of going Hydro"... thread.

I don't have an airstone, or pump or anything, so I'll be using it within a few hrs. I put ~3-4cups of screened (~1" triangles screen) compost into a big boy sock, and set the hose nozzle to aerate. I fed my peppers full strength before I thought that I should prolly cut it. So I cut it 2:1, and hit down below, and the veggies.

I took the SSH this morning, and so far..PIF. It makes sense if pif WERE SSH, if this stays like this as a cut, and stays QUICK, it is deffo a commercial cut. MMMMMMMmmmmmm....piiiiiifff.... Thank you Shanti.

Fukkin gallons. Each pepper plant should avg ~6 ripe peppers and 10 green peppers by the time the summer is done. The coco only plant should way out do that, and I have 1 straggler (production wise).

So here I am typin away under cover of stealth, and my INCREDIBLE neighbor comes over with homemade olive/onion/delicious pizza. I LOVE them. Too late, though as I've already eaten...

I think I may have bumped into you today at the store, as Im literally drinking out of the same plastic cups you have pictured above. If I had a dime for everytime Ive been really cool to someone only for them to become MIA when I could really use their help I would own several packs of Mango Widow by now It seems like its becoming increasingly harder to find genuine people anymore. Yet again another reason I came to the boards, in an effort to rid myself of people of similar character. I havent met a person in the real world in years who wasnt trying to take advantage of me in one way or another when marijuana was involved. Instead of a 7 gram quarter these days, they somehow turned into 5 with a warning label not to say anything or else you wont get any herb period. Those kind of people are exactly why I grow my own, and the only words I have left for those unscrupious characters is to go "fuck yourselves"

Seems awfully early to be picking a SSH, you must have quite the selected variety. I think the general rule of thumb for sativa's is when they look ready, let em go a little longer. And even then, there is no substitute for a good cure. Rarely have I found marijuana worthy of smoking with any kind of pleasure straight off the stalk, but the Mango Haze and Sensi Star are two varietys that do come to mind that were good enough to pull that off with. The resin production is simply insane in those varietys. Anymore though, I truely am a subscriber to the curing factor involved with quality marijuana. So when Im not handing buds out to local medical users in my area, I try to conserve the herb I smoke for as long as possible in order to see what they truely have to offer. Sometimes my stash is in high demand, and it doesnt stick around for very long. It just depends on who comes to me, what their affliction is and whether or not I have anything available at the time.

Good choice with the brownies, I love the peanut butter version myself. Those bitches are delicious! Now excuse while I go raid the cabinets in search of something of a similar nature haha.

Yo Jesse! Well, I think part of my problem, If I may be so high and mighty, is that I sort of expect people do do what I do which is too much. It is not a bad character flaw to have, but I was raised to ALWAYS be looking to help friends, whatever. I guess if I don't feel it reciprocated, I get down just on that, rather than just appreciating the situation for what it is. How many people have helped ME or been cool with ME that I never got back with??? Enough...

She is from a pack of dreamtime, I id'd her as MW. Strongest smelling plant I have. Mango Kush. Check the Dreamtime thread to see the seedmomma. Would be an issue to have a room full of these. Similar to a room full of ssh, but the strong smelling ssh doesn't smell like weed...

Thanks, L. I like her. Not much smell of resin, but it is EARLY. She may be the sog plant that nut raves about. She is a lil burnt, but she must be tolerant. All of my recent transplants into the 'flower mix' have shown slight issues. The MMG's are burnt, the EQ is JUST burnt, and the pakalolo's/kali's are doin the twist too much... I put a gallon of vermic, and ~1/3 of a bag of promix into the flower mix (added 30-50%) to cut it.

I have ~10 cuts of these SuperSpices (indy) waiting to root/veg. I'm looking for 2-3 zips per plant. I WAS hoping for a QP, but I've seen QP plants, and I don't think these will get there. 2 months out of the black trays above. No topping, all supercropped (same as the 1 outside, which I split a lil on accident).

This plant is ~25 days.

This 1 is 3wks today.

The Mets are 14 and 6 in the last 20. Huh?? No big hits, and the worst bullpen in baseball... Starting pitching and defense. Tell the kids.

EDIT - JessE- About the SSH, she was a quick finisher, and I probably changed the lights 10-11wks ago after 3wks above ground @ 20/4. I count the seedplants from first flower, and she was mostly cloudy, so I felt OK. I would have preferred to go at least 9 weeks from first flower, but what are you going to do. I don't feel that the seedplant ssh's will represent the clones in any particular way, so this plant was a treat. I will be taking cuts of this SSH and the other seedplant (the 1 that is BURNT w/heat stress and phos def...) SSH bushes that I have vegging. I will keep them labeled as #4 and #5 while I run them. I hope this one (#5) doesn't change very much, lol. I did have and lose a REAL 7/8 weeker. Lil HARD haze buds, but going nice and amber by 50-55 days. They are in there. SSH is my GRAIL strain.

This is SSH 5 seedplant on the 46thday after showing (3days ago). Looks like the trichs are mostly cloudy, with SLIGHTLY more clear than amber. The buds look like a sk/nl, hard lil stacked calyx 'explosions' Would be BEAUTIFUL if I let her go...

Smokes RIGHT. Stronger overall (right now) than properly finished anything else except MW and ODiesel (and the other ssh's). Beautiful heavy haze smell. Not particularly complex, but deffo HAZE. Quick dried buds taste ok, but fill the room with TASTY smoke. Scissor was red and delicious, similar to SSH #1 (iffy). This plant seems close to the iffy, but I have to run the clones. They go in when the bagseed males start showing (or 2 wks, which ever comes first...). We Gonna have some SERIOUS SSH come the holidays...
