Grail: The Ultimate Haze Hybrid

Totally my bad on the topic shift.

Onto the topic - I know people have asked but it's been a while...anyone have experience with any of the Seedsman Haze line? I have Sugar Haze and some Haze mix as well as some Original Haze here - Their O. Haze interests me only because of it's old (?) lineage. Now I know most dutch companies have started purchasing their stock from Spanish breeders and slam it into their packages with their labels, but anyone try any recent stock from them??

Purpur - Put up some pics of the Blue Crush! I know some person made one that's a Blue Dream x Orange Crush with some purple kush in it as well, but I'd like to see an older orange crush hybrid for sure!

Thanks Coop - I've tried finding nice grows online and for a bank that probably sells tons of seeds...I see no real extended grows...lotsa people with starts of growlogs but no finishes.

I was going back in the thread and noticing Bigherb getting tossed around a bit about the NYC Haze, and speculation on the line comign from Neville's haze or the NL5Hz. Now it could very well be, but there's one specific ethnic gang that are currently the ones holding the true NYC Haze...it exists in seed form, with some cuts of the better versions escaping here and there. This group of people have had this strain for a lonnnnnnnnnnnnng damned time and it's likely they were grabbing their seeds from Dutch Seedbanks or even Amrican Seedbanks...or seed banks for that matter. That's just a guess n the last part, so slam me on it if you like, but having been in certain circles like this in the past we don't usually take stuff online or order through catalogues. It's obtained through years of smuggling and close contacts and selection and hybridizing by accident.

I hear about the Black Haze cut being passed around. It's not likely a cut of the actual NYC Haze but a hybrid if anything. The statement someone made about growing a cut of the NYC Haze and it having long flowering times is a bit off. It has a relatively short flowering time for a Haze, let alone ANY strain with above average yields. That's why they grow it and have continued to grow it and only let some of the seed stock out recently until a more viable and reliable producer and moneymaker could be found.
Some of the phenos run as short as 10 weeks.

With that said I'm not saying NYC Haze is a pure haze of any sort, I seriously doubt it with the short flowering times. But NOW I can see why Bigherb and others have been after it for so long. It is by far the best version of haze I've seen to date...that's with growing ever Mr. Nice haze except for the NL5 x Haze, Tom Hill's Haze, Flying Dutchman's Haze, some Kiwi Seeds Hazes, yada yada...but WITHOUT growing the Seedsman Haze, which honestly I don't have very high hopes for.

I hope someday a much better true breeder than myself that has perfect selection space can run some of the NYC Haze and work it into lines, It will, indeed, turn heads.

i can't really comment on the nyc haze, but alot of the other strains from the north east are def nl5 x haze.
One will never really know but I suspect Nevil was telling the truth about getting some seeds in NYC.

What i really wonder is if he got it some stock or seed from Soma when he was still living in the states.

and a few of these strains would follow the nl5 haze and kinda your description. take the e.c.s.d for one. Mostly everyone will tell you to cut it at 77 days, but the real e.c.s.d is primo at 90-95 days. if it is nl5 x haze i could see it starting to be done in 10 weeks but going 13-14 if you let her.

Great to see you brother

I'm busy at wrk an will speak with you when I can reply properly an hopfully get some indepth details

Again I'm at work I can't post links but Gdftrb at IC has seedmans stock from 08 an has said many Great things about it such as she just keeps packin on weight the longer you run her an he is running her for commercial purpose yea you heard it.Some amazing pics with haze colitas IMO very similar to UNC L33t NH colitas

About that Nyc haze I know its been awhile since you spoke of her I know you said you'd post some pics .From your post it sounds like you have made some selections an have had the pleasure .I'm excited an your words bring a smile to my face .I've said for years that this was IME the best haze an all around smoke in my years .Hopfully some day more will have the pleasure .

As for lineage is unknown an I've throughly discussed all the possibilites

Coop

Sup bro

Nevil never said anything about stock from NYC ,if I recall that came from a convo between L33T an hempy when discussing possible sources

We have the story straight from the main source ,Nevil admitts his stock comes from Sams. Will we ever know which exact haze stock it was NO. But nevil recalls Sams sayin somthin about burnin bush being an ancestor of the haze ;)

PS. How about Tom hill haze x Ghash as a ultimate grail hybrid

I am growing some NL5/Haze right now. Do you think it can go 13 weeks? That would be OK as I am going to have a continuous flower room. Have you grown this and what did you think of it?

Thanks coop,
Dawn

It will depend on the pheno. I know elmer recently ran some of the nl5xhaze he said that he was putting out new calyxes 11 weeks in or so.

my CO Cough clone goes about 14 weeks and thats old nl5 haze stock.

One of the great things about hybrid like the nl5 x haze is that the longer it goes the bigger its going to get. So while 14 weeks may sound daunting, you get the a great harvest for letting it go.

BigHerb you may know then, was soma sacred seeds or part of s.s? He uses that name nowadays. It always made me wonder.
Soma was from the northeast somewhere, i would have reckoned New Amsterdam but thats just speculation.

and i didnt mean that soma had the haze stock, but theres always been things like silver pearl that make me wonder, was silver pearl part of the silver haze etc? I know what we are told what the lineage is but makes me wonder what then happened to some of those strains.

sounds like I need to get me some Nl5 x Haze Dammit!

I'll let you know. :D

The Mango Haze I have going is probably the best plant I've grown so far. So many different phenotypes to choose from there should be no lack of any desired effect that one would want. I have 4 phenos jarred right now and the rest are still going long. Maybe one or two next week but probably not until the week following, but I have never run this so I am guessing. I keep checking every few days to make sure.

PS
I cut them at week 9 but still have 8 or 9 that are on week 10.

Orange Crush

Im having trouble finding a pic of the plants. There are thousands of pics on this pc.
Here is a smaller bud of the Orange Crush. It had a high like a Cush/Sativa. Very strong, but medium body high. Not heavy at all. Citrus flavors. Trichomes on leaves as well.

Here is the Blue Crush Footballs

Here is a Blue Crush out back in veg right now.

Maple Leaf

I think Nevil said the Maple leaf was from Jim Ortegas cut. He said it was a Kush if I remember right. We do have 1 female from the old seed this year. The High(from plants we grew previous) was instantanious, and super strong. The flavor was like a kush dipped in Scotch whiskey. I thot it was a bit weird, then proceeded to fall in love with it. Wonderfull weed

coop-"but theres always been things like silver pearl that make me wonder, was silver pearl part of the silver haze etc?"

I'am lucky enough to have grown the Silver Pearl in 96,97,98...

NL, Sk, and Early Girl were the genetics that went into that hybrid and they shone through in that beauty as well!

It had an amazing crystallized appearance and short stature from the NL. It had that tasty sweet musky aroma of fruitiness and dankness from the SK. And it was a strong plant with better resillience to PM than the SK, and a relatively consistent 55-60 day harvest window.

This was a really nice indica feeling, sativa tasting hybrid that I kept around for many years. After I heard the Polyanna (which went into the Early Girl) was a California clone I moved out here! 8)...never found that cutting though 8(...guess I came WAY too late...

KB 8)_~

EDIT - The Silver Haze was promoted as a fast flowering easier to grow Haze variety. Maybe they crossed the Polyanna clone to the Nev's haze male for the faster flowering times??? IMHO Nevil made MUCH better Haze hybrids than the Silver Haze. Honestly, it was really tame compared to the NL5 x HZc. If the NL5 x HZc was a big bad tiger, the Silver Haze would be considered a feral cat. Bad ass compared to the other house kitties but it would be nothing in a fight with that big bad tiger IMHO.

NL#5

Hi Rimmeo,

I remember that actually, from a thread on here.

By the way, what ever became of those seeds?

any remnants around today?

YES the strain is still around with a couple of nice crosses but its been preserved i new it was a shot in the dark weather i could obtain them because of what was going on with nev

NL#5 HAZE

I am growing some NL5/Haze right now. Do you think it can go 13 weeks? That would be OK as I am going to have a continuous flower room. Have you grown this and what did you think of it?

Thanks coop,
Dawn

we just finished a grow of NL#5X HAZE and it went 13 weeks and a few extra days

Early Pearl= EarlyGirl x Pollyanna

Silver Pearl= NL#5 x (EarlyPearl x Sk#1)

Silver Haze= Sivler Pearl x HzC

Hope this helps.

Peace.

K.

Right on that is sweet.

Is that the new MNS NL5XHaze?

How did it turn out? My old NL5XHaze from the Seedbank was around 13 weeks.

Those sound like some nice strains. I missed them all. I have one plant that has old NL5 in it, and I think its a male. If it is , the pollen is keeper for sure.

Its all from very old seed. I made part of the cross.

It is (SalmonCreekBigBud/Orange Crush) x (Northern Lights#5 xSoma#10 Lavender)

I have a bulk of Lavender Lights seeds. Its a dynamite selection. I get alot of males in that cross though. I have a few old Lavender seeds still. That was a good plant from Soma's camp. Some people say it was his best.
