Yeah, I've heard stories, but I've never seen anything other than caterpillars eat buds. The little plants were treated with 'Deer Out', and it has worked better than expected so far. Like I said, I will have space issues in the spots if I don't start tying, and snappin, an staking. This year (so far) has been the least damage from deer for me, but the most that I've ever seen with slugs. I will have a problem with the deer if I get a drought and the only thing green (or purple) is my herb....

I have to hit all of the spots in the next few days, I'll grab pix.

I had some small plants partially eaten by small animals and insects last time outdoors. I sprayed around the plants with homemade tobacco/garlic/hotpepper mix and never saw any other animals/pests around or on my plants.

About the Deer I d say the best defense is wire fence but it may not be very stealthy.

Wire fence is near 100% effective on deer in the early season. Gotta leave the roll out for a few wks before you take it to the spot, it will rust a lil. W/O real transportation though, the fence would have been very difficult to obtain/construct/maintain. If I built them now, they would be too tall to be stealth.

This heat/humidity the last 2-3 days is rough. We are looking at the same thing for a few more days at least, and it hasn't rained in over 2 weeks. UGH. I should be good to go as far as driving around in ~6wks, but those bitches are thirsty YESTERDAY, lol. May rain today. We gon make it rain....

I was recently reading a thread over icmag about this very thing , and peaple where talking about how to 'degrade;' it fast.
Some said throw the wire into an open fire to degrade it make it more stealth ,in a super fast easy way.

Hope all goes well and it turns out a nice , high yielding crop.

Yeah, IC has some people with EXPERIENCE outdoors. I am on my own this summer after working with a guy last summer. He had a lot of mixed up info (no real concept of 'south', bottled chems outside, etc..) but he knew that: At the crack of dawn it was time to work. Get as many out as possible. If they get found/eaten, it was a waste of time. We did very well, but this summer I will be 99% organic (fukkin slug pellets), 10+ different cuts of 5+strains, and I will have a progressive harvest which helps with the drying of a SHITLOAD at once lol. Set up to run/dry 3-4lbs, filter probably good to 10 lbs, Can't have 20-30 in there at once.. Made that mistake last summer. Also didn't take the plants' access to ground water. I will have to make a lot less trips this year with minimal rainfall. I have 2 nice big plants that would take a drought NO PROBLEM, they are ~3' above a stream that doesn't look to ever go dry. I dug down until it got sloppy. I built mounds ~ 18" above the soil for a lil help in the case of a flood/month of rain straight..

At this point, I know that I can pull a decent crop every year, it will just be about making the process smoother. I can't do it like I done it the last 2 years forever...

Put these in today. 2 more superspices and a Shit. Notice the Shit got 2-3wks under flouros, and a bigger, juicer pot of dirt. I bet the superspices pass it height wise before week 3 is over. I bet they are close to double when all is said and done lol.

Some stop smoking aids. How about if herb were legal, and I could recommend this method to a friend? Cig free for 5+days now.

About 1.5 times an 'average bowl in that blunt ~.6-.8g. Frequently stuff that much into that bowl anyway, lol. Not a cigar, 'goldenwrap'.

I take the paper down to ~ 1" for the lil blunts. ~2.5g and I stop cutting these down. I do the same with the inner paper (in the "high mom" pic, that blunt was ~1.5g. Pedro was pitchin that night...) The paper next to it is a zig-zag orange.

Well, the days are getting shorter, and that means 1 thing...outdoor budshots!!

SuperShit seedplant. First flower ~4wks ago, went outside ~10 days ago. Forcing by shading @ 6-630 until nighttime, then remove.

Shit clone. NO stretch inside. Flowered @ ~4-5", now ~14" with 8-10" bud. Wanted to try to fatten the bud by putting her outside. She won't be getting shaded, 2 wks or 1st sign of re-veg, and down she comes.

On the left is a clone of one of the SuperSpice seed plants currently flowering downbelow. It is not from the same plant that went outside (like ALL of the rest of my superspice clones up until now). I have 6 clones that I took from the 5 girls down below, but didn't label, so these cuts could be any mixture of the 5. I took ~ 20 clones, and put 5-6 out with these left to go. I will probably keep a cut of this superspice also, giving me 2. Hopefully it is from one of the more indica pheno's, as the 1 I have is very sativa dom.

She was put out today, and will be forced when the shit next to her gets cut.

The shit is on an angle to keep her low...

I just finished whacking up Orange Mud C. She was about a week/10 days early, but the bananas were coming too fast, and too fat to ignore. She was too fat and too stinky to put in the back yard, and too fat and valuable to throw in the woods....Lil early indica never killed anyone.

Thanks redeye. I feel like a dick, I keep promising these outdoor pix, and....nothin... I got blessed with a perfect 1-2" of rain over 4-5 hours the other day, so no goin to the spots unnecessarily..Soon though. I can hear them begging for a shot of Pureblend lol.

Found a bit of mold on the Spice seedplant (~46 days) (re-veg/re-flower), so she comes down 2moro with the clone (nice and DONE @ 50 days). That Shit that I put out to finish is goin to be a FAT TIGHT DELICIOUS NUGGET. I keep goin out back and gropin her sweetness... I crossed her with ssh, and I have 1 plant flowering now, and 1 in the bush. The 1 I'm forcing is SEXY. She is tall with sativa type buds like ssh, but happy as a single cola, quick, and sticky, like momma. I think this Shit should finish under 7 wks from clone. Time will tell on the other 1.

I may not be around for a few days, it depends if my internet provider will work with me on the bill. I chopped the Spice clone (51days) @ sunrise 2day, along with the Spice reveg-reflower (47days). The clone was finished right, the other plant probably need another week I cut her cause I found a lil mold.

I HAVE TO go out for water, as we are looking at a few days of 90+ deg. I am going to try to drop my last 4 plants too. I am looking at a slick spot for 1 or 2, but I have to bring my soil in. There is dirt there, but it sux. It is on the point of an outlook, facing ssw, prolly sun from 7-8:00 (now) till sunset (~800). I always see deer there, though, so maybe a 1/2 pot/outdoor scroggage w/chickenwire?? I will get creative with at least 1 plant, lol.



EDIT - I have 3 strong MMG seedlings and 2 shitty seedlings, and I gots 3 Kalichakra seedlings. I threw down my last 3 pakalolo sees, along with my last 1 referman timewarp x EII. I have tried to grow this damn pack of reeferman seeds 3 other times, had to ditch em 2x's and 1 time I got a SCRAPPY male....

So far, these girls look similar, but what the hell does that mean???? I have cuts rooting now. 1st cut of each is a mom, 2nd and 3rd cuts get run next to seedplant (prolly in ~ 10 days).

I am going to try to get dropped off near the FAR spot tomorrow AM, I have to get out there, at this point it's costing me $$ every day I don't go....

I'm gonna TRY to get cuts of the Super shit that is out there, because the 1 nearby is ROCKING. 32days since 1st flower, prolly 7-8 wks 12/12...........

She is not heavy, but the sweetest skittles cleaner smell pours off of her. Just short of 5 weeks, and I keep looking and keep seeing ~50% cloudy, some clear, some amber. She will go at least 8 full wks, so prolly amber/brown, lol. She is this Shit:

and a SSH daddy. Mom is 6 wks in the pic, and is fast and ROCK hard. I hope she finishes early outside, because she has to be a mold magnet. I will be cutting in ~ a week.

I wanna play around with this shit to see if she will reliably bring down flower times. That Shit x SSH is sooo fukkin fast, and she was BEHIND the one that is in the bush. The last time I was there, she was completely back to veg mode, so I wanna grab a cut.

Same Shit and Spice, both ~3wks, went in same day.
