Hey BH good to see you.
I got the seeds gifted to me from a friend and he says they are the real thing and do not come from a seed bank.
Hempy and I have discussed this strain and it seems as if they are the real thing, they just dont have the Red in them at the start, but now I am seeing it at the finish in a couple of them.
The Grail is sort of on hold at the moment as i am flat out and Nev still hasnt got the internet hooked up. I have been on to him to do a report......I guess one day:(
Ok mate hope all is good with you.....stay well K

Kanga

Always a pleasure brother

The PR is Now Official tissue if Hempy has approved them ,Its amazing to nkow they are Gifted an not from a recent seedbank .The structure is unique an i await a proper smoke report an possibly Nug shots .

The saying that good things come to those who wait ,is indeed true .Soo I'll be patient to hear of the future progress. But im still anxious to hear what Nevil's opinion is on the Aussie verion of haze aka MM

I have to say again im hopful an excited Nevil is still considering his return to the forums

Things are finally lookin up

Best wishes to you n yours

prolly the cooler nights bringing a bit of colour into them kanga , i know the pr i grew did that ,
i think sometimes to achieve the results required one needs to replicate the natural conditions of those plants as much as we can ,,
unusuccessful attempts at replications may produce plants that dont fit the criteria of a specific strain , ie ,, didnt turn red etc ...

this didnt mean we werent growing the specified strain ,, just the conditions didnt present for a specific trait to show ...

i wonder if hempy has considered that ??

So Jealous

G'day Kanga,

Truly the most lovely laddies Ive seen in years.
I tip my hat to you mate.

I bet Nev feels like a hungry possum up there in amongst your trees.

Looks like a smorgasboard of flavours to explore.
Hope your lungs are up to it mate, give us a call if you need help :D

Have fun with you organoleptic analysis

Cheers BP

both the columbian and panama versions of red would usually show that coloration in the stems only while they were growing. i have been told the pistils will often carry that hue but i never witnessed it? ime, the red began to show in the flowering cycle once the plant was finished growing up and out and all plant energy is concentrated on the buds. further, i believe a number of factors came into play as to color. not only would the leaf matter change color, but the resin itself was also dark red and perhaps other factors contributed as well?

kanga will bear witness to this transformation soon and hopefully as i recall? or this could be additional evidence that my gray matter has gone soft? lol. but hell, that's a pretty plant if it stays green! another real possibility if location is a factor? peace-biteme

Hi ya Rinse, good to see you here.....Yeah she is nice isnt she, I put some pics up of a early flowering one as well that was nice and I still have another one to get pics of.
You asked about the Zambian Copper, I have one very nice female that is about 12ft but as this is my first grow on all the Africans I havent tried it yet.
Must say though it hasnt really been the season for them, I even have a nice Malawi Gold they went down and the Swazi Red is having a few problems.....I have clones that I will do in late winter and they will head late spring when I HOPE it is drier.
Nev had a smoke of the Early Kar Sup and was impressed.....I think there is something in the Grail on it and some pics here.
Cheers K

Hey kanga, hopefully Il be growing some African lines this year myself, I think 20'Thai mentioned Kariba and Malawi were the strongest of African seeds co line up, the Malawi yields less but has a better taste, the Zambian is similar to Malawi (Im sure you know this but for people who dont)

I really wonder if anyone is still in contact with Chris the owner of African seeds co whats interesting is they were soon to bring out new lines before they shut down such as cameroon and if I remember madagascan.

Do keep us updated in detail about the zam and kariba :)

Hi Guys, Yeah I like the look of the African's as well and the smell is definitely old school with that very hazey smell:D
I still have the Malawi, Swazi skunk and Red catching these last nice days of sunshine and warm weather:D
Will give some reports on them after curing.

Well its nice to slowly be finishing up with some nice weather to push those Sativa's that little bit further. With having so much rain up until now they are still nice and green and lots of nice white pistils, plus the resin is just sparkling:D
Anyway here are some pic's of the MM, still going strong:D

That lady looks amazing. Just how wide is she at the base?

Will you have any pics of the Malawi, Swazi Skunk, or Red coming up? Id love to see what the Malawi looks like. I may attempt mine indoors soon. Whats the flowering time looking like?

Thanks, and keep the updates coming.

Hi mate, amazing how densely stacked the heads on this MM are...

When do you think you might harvest her...

Reason I ask is I'd like to come and get a shot of her with you standing next to, along with the MMxWW, the Thais and Laotians. So let me know approximate harvest dates:)

Hi BB, I think the size of that plant is deceptive - it looks about 12 or 14 feet - I'm reliably informed that its more in the 18-20' range:D I think upward of 6 pounds might be more the order.

Hi all.....Sorry I am a bit slow in getting back, anyway thanks everyone for the comments:D
Bushy check out my album and you can see very little difference in some of the early 80's heads to now, some long some thick:D

Here is the last pic of the MM before I had to take the tops out, also some Kariba Surprise and Vietnam Lowland Black.
Sorry I didnt get all the MM in but I had to set it up myself:o

Yeah mate, Mendogirl is a quality cross and makes me particularly interested in the Haze parent that produced it;) That sweet orange flavor and uplifting high puts her right up there with haze hybrids currently out there so I'm glad Nev's taken an interest...
