Here is what happened with the mm/mm/mg with the flood and rain:eek:

more_2011_129.JPG

Ah, root rot, that's a big problem here when trying to grow outdoors, we get so much rain.

That pink pistil Oaxacan is very interesting.

Zamalito had a Oaxacan line called 'Pelo Rojo' which I believe means 'Red Hair'.

Anyways, it has pink pistils like your Oaxacan.

Could well be your Oaxacan is a hybrid of more than one Oaxacan type and that pink pistil pheno is related to the Pelo Rojo. I suspect that with all heirlooms from the former marijuana hotbeds like Oaxaca, there will be a somewhat mixed heritage from the transmission of pollen so it's not that surprising that the occassional clearly different plant pops out of such heirlooms, heard of it happening many times before.

Thanx guy's for your comments about the plants and pics.....I am happy that the season is ending well and I can get some good shots.

Yes I am certain it is root rot as well, the plant grew by its self in soil that was undug and right on the edge of the creek that always stayed moist.
It really started dying after out first flood and now it is just about finished....shame really as this would have ben a monster:D

If the conditions are just right, the nasty bacteria and funghi can multiply very rapidly and the root rot spread with it, I've seen root rot in indoor recirc hydro systems spread at rapid rates that killed crops in days so no reason why the same couldn't happen outdoors if the conditions were right for it and from my indoor experience I'd say high temps, high humidity and saturated medium were ideal conditions for root rot to thrive.

no doubt this is a garden spot where plants had been set in years past without problems so why not continue to use it? and then the season comes where you get so much rain that certain plants in low lying areas end up standing far too long in puddles of water or mud.

or at least this has been my experience with root rot outdoors and with global warming, i have seen too much of it in recent history. imo, this crud gets its start with drowning roots that are deprived of needed air and my best advice on avoiding it is to plant on hillsides or areas that offer natural drainage.

or am i "all wet" as to my conclusions? lol. peace-biteme

Hi all.....No root rot now:D
Here is a 15ft Nev Haze in full flower and looking very nice.

G`day Kanga

Lovin the pix much app.
The different structures of your plants is beautiful to look at . I find the leaf on the Panama interestingly familiar ! I have seen it before in local strains as well .

Cpl of questions for ya ? Has the " Red " been harvested yet ? Do you think it needs a cold snap to show its Autumn colours ? Or is it the soil it originates from that gives it its name .ie Does the Panama soil have something to do with the colour expression ?

Thanks for sharin
Elmer Bud .

Hi Elmer..... ok only bits have been harvested off this plant, but some other phenos have already come in, but none look like this one. I have one still out that is going a nice purple red, but still not as solid.
The smells from these Panamas is in the sweet range, so much so that they caught Nevs attention and we seeded all of them.
Hey mate as you know it is pleasure to be able to put up pics for all to see, big risk of course, but it is my passion and I guess you only live once:D
Stay well mate....K

Hey BH good to see you.
I got the seeds gifted to me from a friend and he says they are the real thing and do not come from a seed bank.
Hempy and I have discussed this strain and it seems as if they are the real thing, they just dont have the Red in them at the start, but now I am seeing it at the finish in a couple of them.
The Grail is sort of on hold at the moment as i am flat out and Nev still hasnt got the internet hooked up. I have been on to him to do a report......I guess one day:(
Ok mate hope all is good with you.....stay well K

Bloom.....Cheers mate and thanx, glad you stopped by.....should have a few more pics coming yet as I havent taken many of my strains and they are just starting to finish off:)

Picklez.....So mate how did you go, if you are coming from Vic you might be lucky, from Sydney no go:D
You here for awhile ???

Herbplat..... hows it going ?? I live in Sub tropics and they are taken this summer.

Hi ya Rinse, good to see you here.....Yeah she is nice isnt she, I put some pics up of a early flowering one as well that was nice and I still have another one to get pics of.
You asked about the Zambian Copper, I have one very nice female that is about 12ft but as this is my first grow on all the Africans I havent tried it yet.
Must say though it hasnt really been the season for them, I even have a nice Malawi Gold they went down and the Swazi Red is having a few problems.....I have clones that I will do in late winter and they will head late spring when I HOPE it is drier.
Nev had a smoke of the Early Kar Sup and was impressed.....I think there is something in the Grail on it and some pics here.
Cheers K

Hey ya Bushy.....as always mate, thanks for the enlarging:D
Yeah that Nev is pretty nice.......going to be some weight in that girl.
Same with the MM......I will get little D under it soon or put his hammock up in it.
I pulled the Super, Super Silver Haze in just before the rains.....Had a quick smoke of it....:D:D:D, I know what A was talking about now.
Lol....Those Thai's are crazy, I forgot to take the binoculars with me to check the tops, think I have neck strain now:rolleyes:.....Ill get some pics soon.
