XJ13 in my tent

I've been a seed grower for most of my growing life due to the problems that come from passing clones around. But from time to time I'll get my hands on something when I know it's from a vetted source.

This time we have some XJ13. This particular cut has been circulated here in SoCal for some years. I have never grown any Jack Hererr or any crosses of it before this and I have to say that I am impressed by this clone.
It seems to put on a nice stacked greasy flower, the kind I like. It's got the type of resin that shines back at you in the light like diamonds. I also have a 4x4 tent full of Kush hybrids that are a week or so behind the XJ13 and I am much more excited about the XJ13. To me it smells just like the JH flower we get at the dispo but minus the skunk and spice. It's just sweet alpine Haze terps that make your eyes water. At this point it is about mid week 7 of flower or so. I may have to run it again later and shoot for a better finish. My soil mix was not right and ended up haveing to bottle feed them to the finish... I run a organic dry amended soil that I mix myself. When I don't get that right, the plants suffer. They seem to be doing great for what they have been through so far. I can't wait to try this XJ13.

Great looking buds Trickcomanche.(y)
Do you know what the make up of XJ13? Never heard of this strain before.
I do love Jack also and your description of of her smell makes me 😋.
Thanks for sharing!

I also saw a listing for G13 Haze x Jack Hererr as well, but this particular clone doesn't seem to have that much Haze in it. I think it's going to finish in 12 weeks or less.
I can't wait to try it out.

Here we are at harvest day for thus XJ13 clone. I had to cut a main cola early due to signs of bud rot. I pushed the rest of the plants another 5 days or so and they are comming down day 68 of flower. I would say these plants are 80% of what they could be due to lack of N and P early in flower. These old school genetics seem to hold onto their hardiness which is what I look for. If I didn't have soooo many seeds to go through, I would definitely run a whole tent of this clone. I am looking forward to trying these buds. It smells great!

Well done Trickcomanche, those are fine looking buds.👌
These are going to smoke smooth, do let us know what you think of them.
Thanks, I blame it on good genetics...lol
The XJ13 is great smoke. It reminds me of the Jack Hererr im used to but a bit sweeter and not quite as heady. It feels like to me it was harvested a bit early due to fadding fast and feel it could benefit from at least 7 to 10 days more on the flower time. The buds are not rocks but full and firm and those 2 plants gave me just over 6.5 oz of great smelling and tasting herb. If I didn't have soo many more genetics to get through, I would do a whole run of it in my 4x4 tent.
