I've been a seed grower for most of my growing life due to the problems that come from passing clones around. But from time to time I'll get my hands on something when I know it's from a vetted source.
This time we have some XJ13. This particular cut has been circulated here in SoCal for some years. I have never grown any Jack Hererr or any crosses of it before this and I have to say that I am impressed by this clone.
It seems to put on a nice stacked greasy flower, the kind I like. It's got the type of resin that shines back at you in the light like diamonds. I also have a 4x4 tent full of Kush hybrids that are a week or so behind the XJ13 and I am much more excited about the XJ13. To me it smells just like the JH flower we get at the dispo but minus the skunk and spice. It's just sweet alpine Haze terps that make your eyes water. At this point it is about mid week 7 of flower or so. I may have to run it again later and shoot for a better finish. My soil mix was not right and ended up haveing to bottle feed them to the finish... I run a organic dry amended soil that I mix myself. When I don't get that right, the plants suffer. They seem to be doing great for what they have been through so far. I can't wait to try this XJ13.
