White Pheno in F2s

I think I already know the answer, but here it goes; If the chances of finding a White Pheno in the F1 is say 20% or less, what do we feel the chances of finding it in F2s of Non White Phenos? My thoughts are that it will only show up in the F1 of that specific parental combination.

It all depends on the specific inheritied genotype. If both parents have a reccessive "white" phenotype then you could find it in f2's especially with throwbacks to the original parentals. Obviously easier with both parents exhibiting the desired trait.

It's all in the selection. Like Shanti has said, given the same straw of seeds, a few generations in each persons hands will yield a completely different plant. I'm paraphrasing of course. šŸ˜†
