The Cure 2022 tour

Skuncle Lenny

2023 Circle of Excellence
June 9, 2022 - November 29, 2022
Northeast tour 🎸🥁🎤

For my last run of 2022 in the garage tents I wanted to run another rock ‘n’ roll example, especially after seeing Mu’s, The Stones.
Continuing my desire to run journals not done recently, I chose The Cure.
Af/Sk x Hz(AC) is close to The Stones genetics so I’m targeting a 7 wk veg & 12-16w flower, thus the above tour dates.
These are about 1w veg, so I’m targeting a Thanksgiving harvest, the end of the garage tent season. 🤞
These were soaked June 7th and ALL 19 GERMINATED in 2 days, 6/9.
I like to start the first month in 20 ounce cups and then transfer to 2 gallon pots once nice root structure has taken place. Later this week I will transfer the 14 band members, to be narrowed down over time.
I’ve become a big fan of Haze related strains thanks to Angel Heart, so I am really looking forward to this run.

Taste sensations got me thinking,,,, is the Afg/Sk mother in The Cure ,,,,, a NORDLE ?

you did a legend grow of the angels bro ! inspiring
🙏 for your Angel Heart comment. She’s got me hooked. Greattttt daytime productive high that’s damn tasty and smelling.

can i play drums ? 🥁
no promises but i promise to beating the beats 'till the beats get beaten skywalker style
Your tours off to a rockn' start and gonna be a blast,
The Cure is a real treat.

The Cure Tour has started splendidly. 13 of the 14 are looking healthy and strong, but not gonna leave the runt behind, just yet.

My rule of thumb is to generally allow about three weeks for a soak, germination and seedling growth before the veg state starts, so I’m picking a starting veg date of July 1. So we’re about three weeks in to veg time, looking at some nice squat, healthy plants that should be growing a nice root ball right about now.

The ‘Vegetator’ dominating blue LED Veg light tends to make the plants look a little more veiny and wanting for nitrogen then reality. My i7 doesn’t help either…
This 2022 Tour is a rockin 🥁 just 6 weeks in. 🎤☮️

4 weeks veg so transplanted and sexed🤞
35E2F93A-DEB5-4E4B-82F2-B97D33B68EA8.jpeg There is actually 13 plants, though only 12 shown, as there’s an extra one to the left. I took Mu’s advice regarding sexing and reduced veg hours over the course of a few days and looked closely with a scope. I gave each one a pink or blue identifier, transplant Ed to a 4–5 gallon bucket, except for three which I think are males.🧐

I did cull the runt of the litter, ending up with 13 plants, so I doubt very highly my initial inspection under the hood of identifying 10 females and only three males, is totally accurate.
The plants range in height from 9 inches to 16 inches. Since there’s a chance I’ll have a few more females then space allows, I’ll probably do a preemptory topping and cleaning up of the bottom to play it safe. I figure I have another +-3 weeks before space opens up to start flowering.
I think this Rock-n-Roll tour will be much better than the rocky tour of my U2 🏟 grow 😋☮️

2 weeks of practice and The Cure is ready to start touring. 7 weeks veg on Tuesday so I’m using that for day to flip. I’ll run them At Night. Hoping for A Forest.

I came up with nine females and one undecided(Birdmad Girl), but I still won’t be surprised if I end up with eight. Either way, Boys Don’t Cry it’s going to be a tight fit in the 4 x 4 tent, but I’m always up for the challenge, only way to get to Fascination Street.
I topped the tallest plants, cleaned up bottoms, took 2 clones of each, added my combo of bonemeal, fertilizer, castings and top with layer of coco coir. Just Like Heaven. This is their Lovesong.
(no denying that daytime sativa‘s promote creativity)🥹

E34BC230-95E5-48C1-AFB7-AD8D29FE0DCE.jpeg So, the white plastic bag ripped close to bottom. It was Cut Here.
I remembered that when necessary, those recyclable, breathable fabric shopping bags serve as good garden pots. Best solution was to slide the ripped one into the shopping bag and it fits like a glove and makes easier to move.
This is The Cure and this is their Lovesong.
(no denying that daytime sativa‘s promote creativity)🤩

Flip 8/16 + a rockin 10 week Tour=10/25, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they added some time to the Tour. 🎸🎤🥁🎶

Tent set up for flowering which officially started 8/16. I still have three plants that I think are males set aside, just to be sure. I also think it’s certainly possible that one of these nine can be a male as my up close inspection was a little iffy on a few.

2 weeks into the Tour and the 9 girl crew is a rockin and growing fast. Check out the growth over these 2 weeks compared to last post!

I actually have a 10th girl that I left in the veg room because of no more room to flower right now. That’s a PB for me, 10 females out of 19 seeds.
5 of the girls were topped 1x and have responded beautifully. 4 not topped and it’s the topped ones that are the tallest.
I see running out of room shortly in the 4x4x7 tent so fortunately I’ll have 2 U2 plants finishing in about two more weeks so I’ll be able to transfer 2-3 over which should free up the tent perfectly.
I’m glad I took a bunch of clones, as the structure of these plants, even early in life, is getting me excited 😜

3 week touring and certainly glad I topped the girls I did. Of the 9 flowering ladies, 5 are topped and 4 aren’t. There seems to be 2 clear genetic difference with growth and structure. Developing a real A FOREST.

THIS TWILIGHT GARDEN does run at night and temps are perfect lately. But humidity, not so much. Fortunately I don’t envision the huge bulbous buds I’ve gotten from space or shit, so there should be a nice run into and past THE LAST DAY OF SUMMER.

1662476524978.png You know the feeling you get when you feel like a certain run is different than others??? Sure u do, and I’m getting that feeling with The Cure. 😎
I’m glad I have a bunch of clones because I’m tingling with excitement 😂

4 full weeks of Touring and they continue to stretch. Their structure makes tent removal for photos worth the effort.
3782E5E3-0FBC-4C8D-86CB-11894CC9F336.jpeg 437E023C-B705-49A7-9692-2A73EEEB3A5C.jpeg E16C4DDE-2A8A-452D-ACF5-0FEFFD1906C5.jpeg They are all now 4 1/2-5 1/2 ft tall, and the toppers really like to spread. I needed to add bamboo for support and pull them in a little tighter.
5728BE44-2CF0-4A4B-B17E-B18255556867.jpeg But still after all that it’s too crowded, so I took the tallest in back left and moved over to the 8’ tent where I just removed 2 U2. Now they’re spaced for results. Long way to go.

5 weeks touring and this is one happy family.

This tent of 6 is doing very well. I recently added some lady bugs to keep the spider mites in check.

There’s a nice mixture of bud structure going on here, and I expect aromas to really start developing since they are reaching adolescence.

This is one of the two girls in the tall tent with the last 3 😇 ❤️ clones. This tall lady has some pointy protuberances 😊
The last 2 of the 10 ladies are inside, flipped later than these due to space.
The Cure seems to be a very healthy strain & resilient to pests so far. 👍

HAPPY CROPTOBER 1st 1664627390244.png
It’s been 10 days since I last updated The Cure tour, and nothing much has changed other than the buds fattening up and some getting a tiny bit amber. We are 6 1/2 weeks into our Northeast tour and it’s been a great run.
6CB5396F-7B81-40FB-A1EC-F97397517A1E.jpeg
Each plant, wether topped or not, is right about 5 feet tall, or 6 feet tall counting the bucket.
4F20A6C5-4C21-45C0-A64B-DC082C525F6F.jpeg
Generally uniform growth seen between all of the 10 Cure girls. Very nice spread out growth without too many leaves allowing for great light distribution all the way down to the floor if needed. Conical buds with a few more pointy than other. Very nice aromas developing

6 in 1 tent and 2 more in the 8 ft tent.

This girl likes to shed her leaves, as it’s not a lack of nutrients. I tend to see self defoliation with strains that are primarily sativa
93712EA4-237C-42B7-B74A-8CA177091120.jpeg
Since I’m close to halfway through I added a nice mix of Stonington blend fertilizer, fish bonemeal and worm castings. Top that with a final layer of Coco core and we should be set to run these through harvest. There’s gonna be some serious yield going on next month. I’m foreseeing a grand finale.
Nighttime temps are already in the upper 40s, which is early, but by closing some vents, reducing the fan to its lowest setting, I’ve been able to keep the heat in the low 70s. I don’t suspect a little coldness is going to affect these girls too much ☮️✌️
