For a 4/20 present to myself this year, I germinated a pack of SSH I've been sitting on for a decade or so.

15 seeds. 12 seedlings. Giggity

So far, 1 has identified female, and one male.

The female is interesting. Has the same non-glandular trichome sheath on the stem as the NH, and also, the first set of leaves after the cotyledon was not a single blade, but a 2-finger. So there's that


10 plants left to sex-ID. Should be popping off soon

One seedling does have some serious striping / variegated leaves going on, and is slower than the rest.

thank you! I definitely know you are a fan... but lets be honest, I think anyone that finds a cut of SSH like yours is going to be hooked. I just hope I get lucky enough to find one

Final count on the SSH was modest, 4 female and 8 male.

4 males were selected to standby for f2 potential. The two tallest / haziest appearing, the dankest smelling one, and the one displaying the curled leaf trait / I call it scimitar leaf trait.

The 4 ladies have been topped to facilitate clone production

Been busy, but let's get back on track

Cuts were taken, and placed directly into bloom once rooted, July 13 was the day they hit the bloom tent.

So day 18ish. All four have stretched 3x-4x.

compared to the Mango and SHAH, all 4 of these appear to be touched by haze (no short phenos here)

Way overdue for an update here, so let's go

Day 56 for all four of these ladies. One of them is almost done, other 3 have a ways to go still

Without further adieu

SSH 1 - 56 days
No complaints here. Smells musty, bit with an alpine / minty back end. Maybe a little nutty. Very odd combo of scents, but its pleasant



SSH 2 - 56 days
She is going to the the low yiwlder, and the early finisher. My guess is about a week from harvest, so a 63ish day pheno. Smells musty / skunky. Nothing wrong with her, but for my preferences, shes the least favorite so far (haven't smoked it yet, obviously)




SSH 3 - 56 days
She will NOT be done in 63 days lmao. Physically the most balanced appearing of the phenos. Smells pissy with a little citrus behind it. Seems interesting

Shes the shortest, but the spread is maybe 6 or 8 inches. Smells of rotten fruit, like an orange left out in the sun for a week or something. Another that seems interesting

1 3 and 4 look very frosty at this point. 2 is... less impressive. but ive been surprised before
I havent flowered any of the males out yet, but I have 3 set aside.

My plan right now is... Ive got the next round of seeds germinated (nothing MNS in this batch, black triangle from bodhi, UFO from coastal seeds (romulan x nl1), and velvet krush from DJ short. but theyve just germinated, so after this round of plants finishes there will be a gap before those plants are ready to flower, so ill run some males through and maybe make a few seeds along the way

I have 2 Mango haze, 2 Mango haze IBL, 3 SSH, 3 SHAH males, all waiting around to see what decisions are made, and make a path forward with plants I want to experiment with

The number 2 looks like the one you should keep she looks hazey I have ran ssh a few times.
