Phosphogeddon

interesting article, danny. very relevant. Dutch elections were yesterday with the BBB party gaining most electorate*. The bbb party is the incumbent agro-industrial farmers and xenophobe party. I dont think it is gonna be easy to navigate the way out of the nitrogen crisis with these guys at the helm.

* might as well add this one: https://www.politico.eu/article/dut...therlands-big-winner-in-provincial-elections/

Just read about the the elections.

the nitrogen crisis.

btw this BBB winning (less than 20% of the vote) is predictably being spun in US media such as Fox and National Review as being a European call against climate regulations, ("European farmers fed up with climate policies shock political establishment") when nitrate and ammonium in the water is not a climate issue. i don't see them calling for an end to regulation of nitrate in US water or mentioning that US farmers are the least climate skeptical group of their readership. but what truth is there to it, and why are they against offshore wind?

phosphate is no problem, just dig up all the graveyards for bones.
