I've been blessed with a few different things in jars, so I figgured that I'd share with the rest of the class. I was planning on starting this ~the first of the year, but as sick as I was, I couldn't smell anything.
First up is some Spice. I found this girl in a pack of dreamtime. She was with me from ~April until this plant and her sisters came down (~Dec). Grown indoors organically (the odd shot of pbp in the soil, and protekt on the leaves up to ~wk 3 of flower) under 400w CMH/HPS lights. Run for ~60 days in 2 gallon bags.

1. __[9]__ Visual Appeal
Rate the visual appeal of the buds from 1-10 unappealing-excellent.
2. __[8]__ Visible Trichomes
Rate the visible trichome content from 1-10 none-totally covered.
3. Use an X to indicate the colors that are present in the trichome
heads under magnification or list the percentages of each color for
a more precise report. Leave these fields blank if you do not have
a powerful magnifier.
Clear [20]
Cloudy [50]
Amber [30]

4. Mark with X the colors that are present in the buds or for a more
detailed color analysis rate presence on a scale 1-9 light-dark.

Rate the bud density from 1-10 airy-dense. For samples that are
not in their natural state leave this field blank.
6. Use numbers 1-9 on descriptors that apply to the aroma of freshly
broken bud where a one indicates a subtle presence and 9 indicates
a pronounced presence. Delete the existing space when marking a
descriptor in order to maintain the columns in alignment.

7. __[9]__ Aroma
Rate the aroma from 1-10 repulsive-delightful. Use freshly crumbled
bud for best results.
8. __[3]__ Seed content
This cut had a tendency to act up if pushed. That's part of why I ran her out. The buds have prolly 3 seeds per g on the MOST heavily seeded/selfed buds, but most of the plant is fine (maybe 1 seed/seedlet every 2-3g)
9. __[3]__ Weeks cured
If known enter the number of weeks your sample has been cured.
If desired repeat SSR after an additional two weeks of curing.

order to maintain the columns in alignment. {Paddy also figgures in the smell/taste of the smoke left over after he burns}

4. __[7]__ State of dryness
Rate the dryness of the bud from 1-10 wet-dry where 5 is ideal.
5. __[9]__ Smoke ability
Bud has REALLY surprised me on the cure. LOTS of flavor. Like an astringent, skunky, musky tropical thing.
6. __[6]__ Smoke expansion
Still a lil expansive, but the jars are taming her nicely.
SMOKE TEST COMMENTS: Once I caught that whiff ~wk 4/5 of flower, I knew this was a Spice. Very different tropical smells ranging from citrus/fruit to roadkill IME from Spice. This plant was right in the middle. Very complex smells, but no one smell is really overpowering. Besides, after 2 looks, staring at resin becomes more important than identifying smells, lol.

1. __[4]__ Dosage - Smoking the first bowl of the day as I write this. Prolly 4 hits in the last 1/2 hour, and I'll finish the bowl...now. Total of ~1/2g.

Indicate the number of hours the effects lasted.
7. __[3]__ Tolerance build up
Rate how quickly tolerance builds from 0-10 none-rapid. Leave this
field blank if you have not used this sample repeatedly.
I've had this bud in 'rotation' for about 2 weeks, and it gets me lit up every time I smoke it. I haven't smoked more than a gram or 2 of this in any one day, though.
8. Usability
Rate on a scale of 1-9 where a one indicates the worst time of day
to consume this strain and a nine represents the ideal time of day.
Leave field(s) blank if you have not yet formed an opinion.
Morning - wake up [5]
Day - work [7]
Evening - relax [7]
Night - sleep [8]
9. __[8]__ Overall satisfaction
Rate your overall satisfaction from 1-10 poor-Holy Grail.
Smoke is very 'happy'. Sort of confusing, but tasty and positive. People LOVE getting Spice buds, this cut included. They have a smell that I haven't come across in my little time growing, or ALL of the weed that I used to buy, lol.
10. __[5]__ Ability and conditions*
I have a high tolerance.
11.Judging from the sample alone do you personally consider this
strain a keeper for long term use?
Yes [x]
No []
If I weren't about running lots of different things, and I could nail her w/o nanners, I'd run this cut long term. It gets me lifted, and the people love it. Also done ~65days.
12.Rate the noticeable effects on a scale of 1-9 mild-severe. Take
care to use the appropriate column for your response. Delete the
existing space when recording your entry to maintain the columns
in alignment. In all cases these casual observations should not
be construed as medical advice.

FINAL COMMENTS: Take a trip to the islands!!! Spice is nice. I like to smoke generally more sativa influenced buds, and because of that I tend to grow taller plants. Much of my decision to drop this cut was based ont he fact that she wouldn't stretch out tha building like my other (haze influenced) cuts. If I were just cropping 1 room/canopy level at a time, I would prolly have kept this Spice. A lil buzzy, and a lil finicky to grow, but she looks KILLER, and gets me twisted.
***If I can, I'll get better pix of any of the buds that I post when I can take em outside to my deck...er... 'studio'...***
