Not Worthy of The Grail

Well here is some Holy Smoke. Shanti was all out of the grail. The hilarity of this grow always brings a smile to my face. Thank you shanti and sara, im sure you knew my true heart! If you want to see badass budding perfection look no further- no really- you wont see it here. But if you want to see one man struggle in his third grow and try his best and laugh about it then you may like this. This cant be a serious grow journal, although some people may find it so, i am here to laugh and have fun i always try my best. Someone out there must have known i was looking to get all messed up and to spread some love. So i promised to show the goods. If i told you i gave the seeds water and a smidgen of dirt and compost to soak them in for their first feeding i would say it is like giving a calf its first colostrum feeding. But since the seeds were Holy Smoke i thought i should make a sacrifice, so i sweated and cried a little and then i thought, since their last moment shall be spent being consumed within myself i shall give them a bit of myself as their first meal. So a little oxygen nitrogen iron rich blood of my own went in as the sacrificial lamb with the dirt. Not exactly blood of Christ. So i thought musashi added something to kill off pathogens, just thinking of my blood… and so i said blood of christ- wine has alchohol- and i added that. And they cant be all alone so i threw down some other weird stuff to go along with the Smoke. Mainly some Ghans and Gums. So - 24hr tap water, dirt n compost of native soil, blood sweat tears, wine. After 12 hours they went straight into dirt. And three days later all had risen that were going to. There were two casualties a Temple Haze infected by microscopic worms crawling all over the seed and my only Strawberry AK that got seedbound around its first leafs and damped it off oh well. Im limited by plant amounts so i got a few clones of my best plants before i killed off the rest. I was doing a few experiments in the winter off season hopefully with some success BEF5F5F2-7EE8-4A19-A171-FA2330790FF5.jpeg

Whatever it was in there it worked. I hope the microscopic worms arent inside of me… I had my doubts but it was too funny not to try. I thought alot about the Holy Grail the real one and how to find it while i was searching for some good weed to grow. I came to MrNice right before i heard of its release, right after recreational was legalized in Michigan. It is funny at MrNice they have the Grails baby! I was sick of smoking chemical shit around. The Grail is within and without you. And it is not hidden from those who seek it for pure reasons. I had Certain temptation. Like Galahad in monty python- that is me. Haha. Anyhow Holy Smoke for you guys. You dont have to sacrifice much just your time and your mind to open and look at things inside and out differently and you can learn something and find some enlightenment

Hello Kryppler!

Were you doing Med Tent Brownies when you started the seeds? Asking for a friend who is thinking of trying the brownies! Good Luck, following along! :)

I planted some seeds while on the brownies! But not these, these are not in real time but as mrnice once said “nothing is worth talking about until it is done” or something to that effect. Timing and security are but two reasons in the grand scheme of things Im sure all growers understand. Ill make sure i let everyone know the exact dates of stages of growth because that’s important but you might not have to wait as long as i have to. Holy Smoke only came out recently… I dont have alot of time ill do my best to document the Holy Smoke. For example we have 14 days from seed all the plants and 14 days from seed 4 Holy Smokes and the plants at 21 days from seed here. Gonna have to start thinking of better soil and bigger containers pretty soon.
Don't forget to sacrifice phallic shaped objects to the gods of growth and intoxicated virgins.

BTW, I can see the start of moss growth on the top of the soil....don't let that happen....nope...do not.

I thought ahead a little bit. This is only my third grow so not much. The more i know the more i realize i dont know much. But thats ok you have to start somewhere and its hard to find someone to train you when youre trying something a little different. So i have to go off on my own and have a little faith that what im doing is right. All MrNice dudes and dudettes have helped me so far so i always keep their lessons in mind. I went about things a little differently than i imagine I wanted to, in order to test a couple things i wanted to see before i got all set in my ways. It gets moldy and mossy and its wet as a whistle- tis the only way for me. So here are the plants at 28 days in the first two pictures and at 35 days in the last picture are the Holy Smokes. The meek shall inherit the earth. What is meeker than worms and bacteria and fungus and bugs? My dirt is a home for the organisms that make cannabis. All i do is grow fungus and other fauna in my dirt for my plant food. And then i just feed the organisms in the dirt eachothers excrement -no nutrients involved , just water - and they feed the plant whatever it wants. PH dont know - EC not sure. Ill add a wedge of orange 🍊 juice to about 20 gallons of tap water (that sat there for 24 hrs to burn off the chlorine) to keep it on the acidic side and a half teaspoon of molasses and not be afraid of drinking the stuff. Aloe vera at the beginning and coconut water in the end. All stuff you can drink now. The temperature of the water is under 70 but maybe under 60 not sure. I water my plants once a day -at the lowest temp of the day- fully with no runoff -lifting the pot is the only way to see how much you need. A bunch of stuff grows BA68D878-0A82-4F6B-99D4-395CD475BA54.jpegAE553E51-6A0B-4448-9258-DBA5185B0057.jpeg

Ok i ended up with MrNice 3 nl5/afghan females 1 ortega female and 2 ortega males 2 Holy Smoke females and 2 Holy Smoke males as well as 2 bubblegum females 1 bubblegum male and 1 og bubblegum female. The rest were feminized 2 Dr Grinspoons 1 Laughing Buddha 1 Blueberry Skunk 1 Moscow Blueberry. I also had a g13haze and g13skunk clone and an angels breath clone. And some experimental plants i had grown from my seed I harvested after experimenting in the reveg winter season between my cycles. 2 smelly crosses of gg4 x blueberry kush x bubba kush x lord knows what else. At 8 weeks heres drgrinspoon, og bubblegum, blueberry skunk, bubblegum, laughing buddha, and 2 nl5 afghans. All grown under the worst lights i could think of - 4’ t8 led for flower. I wouldnt normally do this but i was testing something here in this round so i had to be flexible.215D2536-7BFC-4178-A25B-B91C20BA25BE.jpeg58BAF7E7-34CB-43E0-AC34-FA7C21B54FE0.jpegF6E4DBB4-1961-478E-8BA0-58836822872C.jpeg4FA39608-1C58-476E-AE29-E09411404CA7.jpeg5A267058-335E-45BE-8AA1-982246C8D01E.jpeg32B02B91-CA46-4BC8-82B1-F5A20E1FAE82.jpeg2CFAAD94-65DE-4942-9A05-9CA7A5F83CD1.jpeg

Ok here were the Holy Smoke males, the first one budded fast the second one budded way slower but had some peculiar male buds. I dont know anything about it. They both had strong hollow stems. i seeded my two best plants from my last grow, g13 skunk and g13 haze and a moscow blueberry that never took off when i wanted it toFD3A45B5-E6DE-4390-8773-1471561409DD.jpeg19ADEC4E-1D91-430A-9000-2BCFA7D0A91F.jpegD26EEF9F-9DE6-4409-8CF9-80CAB18E378C.jpg1ABAFCC2-6D40-4639-A5CC-5709C4F3FE51.jpg

I planted 4 Holy Smoke seeds over three and im glad i did. I got two males and two females. They were like two pairs. One male and female budded fast one male and female budded slower. So it was like watching an indica dom and a sativa dom grow next to one another so i was happy to see this. So here are the two males and one of the females in the middle at the end of veg. 10 weeks veg. I shouldn’t have went so long in veg, and i wont go so long again, but i was trying an experiment with my dirt, as last time, i felt like my roots totally ate up all of my dirt in the first couple months, leaving the soil all dry and hard to water during the best budding moments. I tried almost pot binding my roots in the 3 gal container this time, before transplanting so they would spread out into the 20 gal dirt a little slower during budding- since i had some long sativas i was hoping to finish out. Im glad i tried some different stuff to see how it works. Learned alot. It seemed to work out good and i hope to perfect the transition on the next one. Ok here is the flip. My first grow, i let the plants grow naturally with no topping. After that, I try to keep the plants down. I tried a hula hoop method i thought of on my second grow. Taking advice, i tried another method, bending them over after they grew a little bigger the third time. I think it worked pretty good for the sativas somewhere over the rainbow i like the hulahoop method best so far. Here is my last grow in the veg room right before flip, followed by a couple pics from the flower room at the flip for this grow with the Holy Smokes shining in the middle of the third pic there, and in the last pic is this grow in the veg room at flip884A0A66-63B0-42B3-B408-97D1AAE586E2.jpgCD43528D-5EB2-4E7C-9FCF-B01FA3BBE529.jpegF307F1C1-58EA-4CBD-B5D7-B87CAC0543C5.jpeg48D28F69-06F4-4EBC-98A1-87F780890664.jpeg

Ok after 3 weeks from the flip… in the fourth week… day 22 I went 11/13 from the get go. Try to keep your eye on the rippled leafs of the one Holy Smoke , i broke the stem and it got some bug or disease there forever more, and the other Smoke grew kind of curvy. The smells are insane and heavenly. You can tell the Holy Smoke and the laughing buddha and the dr grinspoon and the g13 haze must have been related back in the day… but when i smelled the indica seeming Holy Smoke i thought is this why it is called Holy Smoke? Because i said stuff like oh my god, and holy shit that smells heavenly. Almost like a vanilla candy like a marshmallow or candycane with no mint, divine! The more sativa Holy Smoke had a little more citrus cut into the smell making it seem a liitle like an orange cream type deal… but there is no real explanation of the delicious sweetness of odors the plants give off.7A9DDDE4-C4F2-4DA2-AC32-12A97F709BCA.jpegD54321F0-6943-4F3E-9BCC-2746EFABFD66.jpeg978895CE-6176-448C-874F-809E1328E514.jpeg97C2964A-419A-4F98-8429-120452F3E88C.jpeg6934111D-FEC5-45AF-AD00-99AB51405AE1.jpeg

One thing i did want to include to tell everyone was a stem rubbing smell test i always do throughout veg and flower really but the veg rub i like… any how here they are. The more sativa male holy smoke had a skunky ass pine scent to it with a super strong hollow stem while the faster budding had a similar scent with a rubber element added in. The more sativa holy smoke female had a sweet pine scent where the other female had a more subtle creamy sweet mint scent to the stem. All were hollow and strong stems.
The three sister are my nl5/afghans. Three seeds all females. One had a creamy classic skunk weed scent to it with a more flexible stem, the second had a subtle creamy mint thing with a hollow stem, while the third sister had a sour shitty old woody smell to its hollow resinous stem.
I only had one ortega female and she was the ultimate beast. By far the biggest plant out of the gates i ever grew. With a super strong sour scent that borders on acidity. Awesome structure on the resinous hollow stem. I only ever smelled that in two other plants i grew, and i didnt know who their grandfathers were, but judging by their scent and size, I suspect NL was involved. The other two ortegas were males and despite some crazy bud structures that seemed to sprout from the stem, i had to make tough calls and culls. Thats the way it goes, but those super dank hollow stems and of course their sister have me thinking of good seeds down the road. So heres the ortegas.4712CBA8-10E0-451D-BFCD-1AB39EAB9531.jpeg5A5B5A10-893D-443A-874C-20A7B8BA1AA9.jpegC859AE20-0795-4388-911A-49188131B617.jpeg0A9BCB1C-F759-4AC0-B2A0-29B0E1974BE2.jpeg
