Hi MNS Family,
I am sorry about the slight delay between updates but at times things get busier than I'd like.

My NL#5 Haze X Zunami test seeds have really started to explode with three distinct phenotypes present (I think!).

Plants are currently on day 8 of 11.30/12/30 and are already showing visible signs of flowering.

#1 is an absolute monster. She eats more than the other plants combined and is becoming something of a beast. Every day seems to bring more stretch.
She fucking stinks and I really mean that. Just brushing against her releases a really strong, spicy, lemony, haze smell which is going to take some masking as things progress.
In my mind I can see that she is screaming to be outside in order to realise her full potential but unfortunately that isn't possible at present.
This one plant is in my top three (ever) in terms of growth and smell and if her flowers are anywhere near as potent as her odour is now I have hit gold...provided I can contain the smell!

#2 shows more of an indica pattern and has a danker smell which is nowhere near as loud or as exotic as #1. She simply sits in the corner and goes about her business quietly and with minimum fuss. I have a soft spot for her.

#3 looks to be the most balanced though she has started to stretch her wings a little lately since flowering was forced. Her smell is in the same general area as #1 but nowhere near as loud or pronounced. I am interested to see where she heads to, as she may be a dark horse.

I like the sound of #1!

Hello MNS Family,
Time for a quick update.

The three NL#5 Hz X Zunami are really flying.
We are on day 16 of the flowering cylce and they have all responded positively.

There has been a fair bit of stretch on all three with #1 (The Beast) and #3 leading the way.

#1 continues to be the star of the show. She has continually tried to dominate the room to the point that she has been bent multiple times and is still 'having it'. The smell is still very prominent and is haze all the way with a hint of lemon and spice.

#2 has stretched a fair bit in the last few days and now looks to be more of a hybrid as opposed to an indica leaner. She has a nice 'sturdy' look about her which I like.

#3 has huge leaves and has stretched a lot more than I'd anticipated she would. She retains a beautiful smell - similar to #1 but more delicate.

So far I am really impressed with this cross. Hopefully they continue to go from strength to strength.

My turn…
Today is 60 days post soak.
3 very different specimens here:
IMG_1347.jpeg
Tallest is 24” and has nice lateral growth.
IMG_1355.jpeg
I’ll take clones off the bottom 4 when I decide to flip. I got my nose and fingers all over the 🪴 but I really can’t describe any aromas other than marijuana at this stage.
The other is 18” and has no real branching to speak of/see, nor aromas:
IMG_1354.jpeg
The runt is only 6”. I recently transplanted into the 1.7 gallon where I’ll let it veg for a while and see if it takes off.
I’m going to let this trio veg through the month of April and see how much they grow this month before deciding when to flip.

Great update @Skuncle Lenny

It is interesting to see (and read) how slowly the runt is developing when compared with the other two.
The one I thought was a runt in my three (#3) has exceeded my expectations in terms of growth.

What I also find interesting is just how much mine smell - #1 fucking reeks whilst #2 and #3 also have a healthy 'dank, skunky, hazy' smell - whilst yours don't seem to have developed much of an aroma yet.

Fingers crossed that after a decent veg time they will become big dank monsters.

Keep it green,
TF

After a 7-8 week veg I’m flipping the leading 2 ladies tomorrow.
31” for the Hazey looking one vs 24” for the bushier, branchier lady:
IMG_1571.jpeg
I got my face and 👃 deep into the bush, really worked it, and still no significant aroma… YOU TAKE THAT ANYWAY U LIKE
😂
I added fish bone meal and worm castings, a light covering of soil, and away we go.
The runt is staying vegged as it’s only 11” and immature, structurally.

I’m not in the cloning mood and no room, or time for such babysitting.
Gotta Utah NP adventure coming up next month 🧗 🥾🌄

Hello MNS Family,
I hope I find you all well.

Time for a little update on the three 'Northern Hazami-Lights' that I am currently working with.

Day 34 of 12.5/11.5 -

#1 is a monster - pure and simple.
I cannot feed this girl enough and as you can clearly see her fan leaves are already starting to 'fade' a little bit. This is earlier than I would have wanted but is great learning for the next run. She has been top dressed (just now) with some of the best looking worm castings I have ever seen and she has had a good feed so hopefully she will fade more slowly as we progress. I am more used to the mellow rhythms of sativa dominant plants so this level of feeding is taking some adjusting to!
The smell has remained strong and is heading to a peachy, incense haze aroma with a definite spiciness. At Day 34 she looks well formed and is very resinous. I have high hopes for her.

#2 remains the most indica-leaning though she did stretch a fair bit initially. She has a beautiful pole-like growth which would lend itself to SOG with minimal effort.
Her smell is funky and edges towards ripe fruit and artificial sweetness. I like her a lot. Resin coverage is very good on this particular plant.

#3 is definitely one to watch. She took an extra week to crack as a seed and seemed to be quite slow growing initially. Once her roots hit the bottom of the pot she literally exploded. The switch to flowering has seen her really stretch her wings. The smell on this plant is more muted than the other two (almost everything else is when compared to #1!) but is a pleasant sweet, flower, fruit scent which is quite subtle but nice. Her resin coverage isn't as impressive as #1 and #2 but there is plenty of time for that. Her buds are also more hairy than the other two.

Happy Days and Keep it Green.
TF.

My turn… These 2 have been under 12/12 for 12 days now:
IMG_1702.jpeg
Looks like an Indica dom & a Sativa dom.
26” and 40”.
Classic looking Indica:
IMG_1713.jpeg

IMG_1714.jpeg
Spaced out growth for the visually Sativa leaning lady:
IMG_1707.jpeg
IMG_1706.jpeg
I expect aroma to kick off shortly.
The 3rd is still vegging and is Indica leaning in small, squat growth. I’ll flip her towards months end.
