Yesterday I did some surgery to seperate the twins. So far everything looks good

Say hello to Shit #5A and Shit #5B

And guess what. When I took a closer look at Shit #6 I found another twin.

They were regular twins. The roots were just a little tangled up but not grown together. I was able to seperate them by carefully pulling them apart.

Thats a great think have twins aka Polyembryonic seeds .
Do as you did separate them carefully and the outcome will be one of the plants will be an offspring of the original cross as is expected and other plant will be identical clone of his mother.

That's how it is in mangoes. In mango Polyembryonic seeds you usually get 3 to 4 plants and one will give the same fruit as the mother tree.
Would be cool.

today I repotted Shit #5A 'balls deep' into clay pebbles The remaining members of the gang need to grow a little more.

I'm thinking about to set up my project tent as a 'premie station' instead of killing the small seedlings. I really would like to see where this journey takes me

I will move Shit #6B in my project tent as soon as I put the rest of the gang in the hydroponic set up.
