Mr. Brown hazes the Skunk

Day 20

I think I have a little problem with the conditions in the grow tent. The air temperature is ~28°C and RH is ~40%. Skunk Haze #2 doesn't like it and curled up her leaves. I have to figure out a way to reduce the temperature and raise RH

Everything else is on track. The roots develop great in the CultiMate Aero (y)

Edit: And I renounced to clean up the tent before taking the photos :ROFLMAO:
I would put down the ventilation, but would not help with temperatures. Hard to help. ..

Maybe keep the wet towel in there after your daily cleanup :)

I love your tidy Mind @Mr. Brown you are a good example for all of us to follow🙏

I have few tips to share cause I had similar issues.

I can see the reflection of your led lamp look like quadum board right? what is the size of the tent and what is the dimensions of the lamp?
The quantum board in small tent block the airflow and they trap some heat underneath them.
I solved that by using a small fan blow the heat from down from the far corner of tent up towards my air outtake in the other side. this should drop the temperature 0,5 Celsius to 1 Celsius maybe even more.
I have start replacing some from my hlg series with leds with smaller size so the air can circulates better and has better temperatures levels.
Another tips for the future is to start your lights schedule 21:00 for example , evening the temperature is always a bit lower and a slight window opening can do huge difference.

For Humidity spray them with water daily, you can also use canna cure it help alot, with water retention at your leaves, and some small humidifier would be the ideal have it right next to air intake or inside but looks tight.
I hope this helps keep surprising us🙏

^^^ yep a man with knowledge n common sense.
Why don’t these tents have holes at the top to vent hot air?
A humidifier is often necessary in these situations. An AC would remedy except for cost.
Using silicates can help with water retention and heat resilience. Kelp products can contribute to heat resistance too. Use both as foliar.

28•C air temperature is perfect imo you have issues with low RH not the temps, eventually the root zone temp should be checked.
At this stage they can live wizhout much air exchange so if you can dim your exhaust to a minimum and just spray them with water you should be abled to bump up the moisture level almost effortless.

Thank you all for your support (y)

Turning down the exhaust fan, hanging the LED higher and let the fan blow underneath the LED lowered the temperature to ~26°C.
Because no humidifier fits in my 60x60cm grow tent I got a hand water sprayer and sprayed the plants with RO water. That brought the RH up to ~55%.
And to follow @musashi advice I will get some Terra Aquatica Silicate tomorrow to use it as foliar.
We will see how it works and if they will be back on track on the next update.

I love this place

Solid advice here!

I always place my extraction point above the hottest part of the light or the highest place. Hot air rises.
I supose you have your extraction outside the tent? If you can put the tube directly above the led driver.
With my tent grows I placed the intake next to a window were fresh air flows in.

These two things helped me a lot in the past, a temperature gun also.
Easy to check leaf temp and to see where the heats come from.

In winter grows I placed my extraction on timers in veg to save heat.
That was some of the nicest grow in my plants I ever saw. Humidity was higher.

If you dont mind and you have some space you can place a bowl of water with some cotton cloth in it and spread it out the best you can (wick system).

28° is good for led though my Temps in my room never get below 30. They grow fine when I water regularly and take care of them hahaha. Only the humidity should be an issue. The vpd charts should tell you the best humidity for that temperature. View attachment 76728it looks like close to 75% would be perfect.

Thanks for your advice and this chart @Islandgrower 🙏

Day 25

The temperature stabilized at ~26°C and RH at ~55-60%. My humidifier hopefully arrives tomorrow and will get me to ~70-75%.
Skunk Haze #3 still looks a little beat up but the new growth already looks much better (y)
Skunk Haze #1 and Skunk Haze #2 seem to be on track and look just beautiful

And today I took 2 cuttings from each plant and put them in Eazy Plugs soaked in a mild nutrient solution.

As soon as they root I put the strongest in coco/perlite mix in a textile pot to keep them as bonsai moms.

Day 29 (day 1 at 12/12)

Today I switched the light cycle to 12/12 and changed to a half strength preflower nutrient solution. The nutrient solution is made up of 20 l RO water, 40 ml T.A. Cal Mg, 10 ml T.A. Pro Organic Grow, 10ml T.A. Organic Bloom and 2 g T.A. TrikoLogic.

I cut of the 3 lowest branches on each plant and defoliated them.

Hopefully I get 1 boy and 2 girls. I would love to make some Skunk Haze seeds for my stash ;)

Day 35 (day 6 at 12/12)

The Skunk Hazes seem to like it (y) I haven't changed anything on the set up and they grow like crazy
But no signs of gender yet :(

Skunk Haze #3 is ~60cm (~24 inches) and Skunk Haze #1 and #2 are ~40cm (~16 inches) high.

The cuttings look good. I checked every leave for signs of spider mites but I fortunately haven't found a single sucker (y)

They all rooted and I will put them in bigger pots with 70/30 coco/perlite on the weekend.

Wishing all of you a green weekend
